TODD LLocation that I originally booked at was suppose to open at 10am, and my reservation was at 12pm. I get there at 11:50am and the doors are locked and the place is dark inside. I waste 20 mins trying to download the app and filling everything out (w/slow running data BTW), thinking it’s the type to unlock from your phone. That doesn’t work, so I called uhaul customer service who was surprised no one was there. She got me booked for a location not too from where I was and gave me a credit toward my total cost. Finally I get to uhaul and get my Cargo van and the process was easy and the lady who helped was amazing! Definitely would rent from this location again, just not the first one lol, which was furniture brat BTW.
BRITTNEY AEverything was wonderful... except I was bothered that the Safe Move fee ($60!! More than 1/4 of the entire rental bill!) was an opt out on the credit card reader even though we had stated we didn't want it. Yes, I should have paid closer attention to what I was agreeing to, but that is a sneaky business practice!

I actually thought she was joking for the first minute she began talking. Then I realized, no this is not a joke. Zero empathy or desire to relate to the customer. Instead she responded each time with a robotic tone about corporate policy as if she’s been programmed to say it. I’ve rented a few uhauls over the past 12 months. This is the first location to require that I provide two emergency contacts that NEED to be physically called and spoken to by uhaul before renting. Absurd! Talk about a poor customer experience and delaying the pickup process… yikes!
JAMES PMade a reservation on U-Haul app, but couldn’t pick up the truck on the app, it was around 7pm so I had to call the customer service, and they told me I had to go on uhaul website to start the pickup process. In the end i was able to drive the truck away but the process was a little frustrating, why couldn’t I just start the pick up process on the app, and can you remember my id information so I don’t have to take pictures every time I need to rent a U-Haul.

Then she needed to talk with my emergency contacts because she will not accept just the cell number. In top of that the truck was very dirty with cat and dog hair! And dirt … so I am not happy at all. U-Haul used to give the trucks clean not filthy dirty .. I am extremely disappointed and I want a refund! I even return the truck with full tank

Mackenzie IThey're making a fraudulent claim against me stating that there was an accident to the vehicle that occurred at 12pm yet we had dropped it off at 11:10am before the required time. There is no physical way that the damage they are saying happened was caused by us. I was not emailed a receipt by them either. I got my receipt 4 hours after dropping the vehicle off by chatting with the live support on the u haul website. Not to mention I was disconnected for no reason at the beginning. Then I had to call the number to figure out what was happening and now I have a claim that's under review. The amount of disrespect and blatant lies by this store is disgusting. You should be ashamed of yourselves.
aubrey sThe managers, Ben and Christina were great! They treat me so good. I was homeless & in a shelter when I moved in due to COVID and they treat me with respect. The staff gave me water all the time in the summer cuz they knew I was walking from the bus stop in that heat. None of the staff ever treat me with disrespect because I was homeless, which happens a lot in other places. They were all so nice to me. I’m back on feet and have an apartment in Phoenix and a car. So I’m grateful that all of my belongings were safe and secure all that time. God Bless you all and thank you!

Overcharge could not be adjusted at the store, required intervention by a regional manager, who refunded the incorrect/ insufficient amount( did not refund the incorrect OVER mileage charge , just adjusted the original contract amount.

Scott WIt was ridiculous that I needed to have 2 separate people that they can call to verify my identity before I could rent the actual truck. This is intrusive and if I knew this before renting I would not have chosen to rent from this location. I am a 47 year old man, and this is the first time I have ever had something like this happen in my life. Unbelievable that I can rent a vacation home with less intrusiveness than renting a U-Haul truck.

His professionalism, patience and common courtesy was outstanding! I'd give a perfect rating if it wasn't for the moble ashtray I had to drive. Lance W | Overall ExperienceOur little startup church was one of the original customers to move in to StorageOne over 15 years ago. We loved StorageOne and the owner and we had an excellent relationship for our first few years onsite. Then Uhaul took over and regularly moved the in-residence operators in and out, raised prices over time from $79 month to almost $249 a month while not using new revenues to invest in or upgrade entry doors, streets and gates, or paint, or hallway lighting over many many years. Horrible business model to forceout/overprice/take advantage of legacy founding customers who helped pay for the place while not investing back into the facility and not providing service excellence. I hated to leave but was forced out by people who do not care about their customers, only focused on the bottom line business. My advice to the owner is - (1) hire great people who understand and can implement and maintain focus on the customer experience and (2) upgrade the facility with new lighting and new technologies and (3) level set prices to market comparison and competitors who are invested in numbers 1 and 2 ahead of you.

The man who checked in and delivered the truck to me was very friendly, cheerful, and polite, and the young woman who received the truck back from me was equally so. You have good people there. The only thing I did not care for was the truck itself. Too many weird, newfangled things in the new trucks. Absolutely despise the auto stop engine feature in the newer vehicles. Makes me insane. Don’t like the push button start either. The auto bright on the headlights was equally irritating. Still no idea what the little row of red lights up on the dash in front of the wheel is for but it went off one time for whatever reason… My personal truck is a 2001 Chevy. I still have manual windows and automatic lock sensor that I have an option not to use. And I don’t. Maybe I am just getting too old for this unnecessary crap… Anyway, thanks for a great experience, I will definitely come back if I need to!

Ben said he would send me an email re: account closure after his walkaround to confirm I moved out. Never received email of account closure. June 5: I received an email that payment had not been received for the storage unit and I would be charged a late fee. Assumed Ben had not completed requested actions. I called the office & spoke with Chelsea (?) who fixed the issue once I explained the situation. In the future, check-out should be done upon request to avoid late fees & account charges in error.

Two days later he still had not completed this and left on his honeymoon. The result of this was my being charged for an additional month. The temporary manager basically told me that it wasn’t her problem and I would be refunded in 7-10 days. I had budgeted this money for a plane ticket for my son. This caused a huge problem for my family!!

A good tug pops the door open without using an access card or code, but it’s not as bad since new management took over. All the other entryways are tightly secure for building A. . Some work was done to secure this entrance, but in my opinion these doors need replaced due to the abuse by tenants over the years. First time ever - 5pm Building A-SE Elevator stopped working with me in it. Doors wouldn’t open immediately after pushing buttons, but they did eventually open. I used the other elevator with the uneven platform entry point. I bring this up because the moving cart hits the unevenness of the entryway causing loaded carts to be jostled around every time. It would be nice if the cart could roll in easily. Overall I still give the newest unit a 4/5. Over 10 years a 4.5/5. Great facility!

Louis B | Overall ExperienceI have been with this particular Uhaul for around 3-3.5 years. I have been there through the raises in storage rent. I lost my key and couldn’t find it. I spoke over the phone with a kind young man and he assured me that they could help. I drive down there and the two men on the office inform me that he (the young man I spoke to on the phone) was incorrect. They don’t have anyway to help me and I would have to hire a locksmith. I asked why other uhauls could assist, but this one can’t. One of the men said that the manager is the only one that can make exceptions. The manager was right there and heard what we were discussing. He said no, I needed to hire a locksmith. I got my stuff out of there as soon as possible. Being able to locate a spare key after moving. I would not recommend this facility based on the lack of care for customers. I wasn’t in such a hurry to get things out of the unit until this situation.

I almost cancelled even keeping the unit because of his physical appearance and threats. Not someone I would have represent your company but then again he doesn’t even work there at that facility. What a liability and hopefully all this is considered if the choice to keep such a person as an employee.

I thought this was my free 1 month. Then they sent me a letter saying my payment was late and charged me for a late fee. Also they will let you reserve a truck online and charge you for it, even if the truck is not available. As soon as you pay online they will call and switch you to another truck and location. Very shady.

When i was ready to take advantage of that service, the manager said i could not put stuff in their dumpster nor was he interested in trying to help me solve my problem as I needed to start driving across the country. Very poor customer service by the manager. I emailed the owner, Shawn, and he resolved my problem. The drive home was ruined as I was six hours behind schedule. Owner was great. Manager was not helpful at all. I was told the dumpster was an option. Every decision I made was based on that. The manager told me it wasn't an option and he didnt care that I was told it was. He said, "I'm sorry, I can't do anything for you." My stuff was stored there for 21 months at $130 a month. I deserved better from him.

David B | Online Move InI inadvertently put 2 locks on my storage unit. I received a call from an employee at this facility telling me I needed to remove one of the locks. I asked why and he explained the 2nd lock position was for them to use to lock me out if I did not pay my bill. I said I would remove it as soon as I could. He called back the next day telling me I needed to remove the lock. I told them was no urgency as the bill was not due for weeks and hung up. He called me again the next day and told me if I did not remove the lock by Monday he was going to cut the 2nd lock off and charge me $30 for the lock removal. This was weeks before the end of the month. It was his behavior that led to my decision to move my storage to another facility.
