I dropped off a trailer on 09/10/2025. The agent said I didn't need to wait, and I could leave while he checked in the rental. He said I would receive a receipt within the hour. Two days later, I received a receipt. Meaning I was charged for two extra days. Pretty disappointing.

RANDELL BUpon dropping the trailer off, I checked to see if the passenger side blinker & brake light were still inoperative and they still were not. As I am checking, I have the hazards on and the associate walks out. You can clearly see one side isn’t working. He told me to get in my car and try it again. “Magically” they were all now working according to him so I could out to see and he rushed to disconnect it so I couldn’t see. He then told me the trailer was fine and it was my car that was the problem. He seemed uninterested in being helpful from the jump which is usually a sign when someone is wearing AirPods while working. Anyway, he put the trailer away and it still needs to be repaired.
Cody RTried to check in at the counter and employees simply directed me to the website on my phone and told me to fill everything out online while they sat there on their phones ignoring me. When I asked if they could just look up my reservation number they told me I had to do it on my phone. Drop off process was MUCH easier as different employees simply took the keys and sent me on my way.

RACHEL BThe new checkout system, using the app, is "for the birds". I am over 60 and apps are not always my friend. Thanks much to Brendan at this location for helping this old lady. The fact that Uhaul wants to punish its customers by charging $20 for actually engaging with a human for checkout is ludicrous. UHaul is basically trying to make customers use apps so that they can hire fewer people and the app isn't customernfriendly, and didn't work well at the UHaul location I used because cell reception was not good and the location needs wifi (which it doesn't have) for customers to use the app. But do you really want to sign onto a UHaul location's wifi and possibly compromise your phone's security so that you can pay for your rental? This new mandatory checkout system will deter me from looking to UHaul in the future.

Matthew FFirst, my pick up location was supposed to be Silverthorne, CO. The 5x8' trailer was not available at the time for which I was supposed to pick it up (!0AM). They made arrangements for me to pick one up in Golden, CO (over an hour drive thru the Rockies ONE WAY). I checked with Silverthorne, CO location to see if the person had returned it prior to driving to Golden and it wasn't...this was around 2:30PM. and it hadn't been returned so had to drive all the way to Golden. When I got there, I was given a trailer that looked like it had been thru a war. The front of it was looked like it was ripped but funtionally it was fine. Inside the trailer, one of the rails was broken off and hanging there. The biggest issue I had with Golden UHaul was he told me I had to return it to Phillipsburg, NJ which 52 miles away and well over an hour drive. I tried explaining that I wanted to return this trailer to Hillsborough, NJ and he said I couldn't. He didn't even check so knew I wasn't going to get anywhere with him. I took the trailer and drove back thru the Rockies and then had to hurry to load the trailer since the new tenants were moving in in the next 6 hours. I received no compensation for this huge inconvenience and to insist that I had to return it to a place more than an hour away was not right.
Lisa RI was going to return the van using the app, but one of the employees offered to do it for me and send me the receipt. I appreciated that, but the final mileage they entered was wrong and I was overcharged. I only saw this once I was home and I received the link to the final bill by email.

SHELBY BI bought a lock for the truck at this location. The lock didn’t fit. I would recommend the CSRs learn the products sold in their stores so they can make suggestions or deter customers from buying the wrong thing. That was really frustrating to pay for something that was useless.

vicky hDon't know who was working (long dark brown hair pulled back in a ponytail.) but she was on point. Straight business; in and out. Made sure my car worked with the trailer. When I got back she checked in with me right away. When I pulled up she was moving, working, doing something. Made happy to see she was not just standing around. There is always business to handle. Thus my waiting was not an issue.

MARK SYour new app sucks. It is glitchy and the the location has limited wifi, which makes a 2-3 minute check in 15 minutes. I have rented with Uhaul 3 times the last month, but still wait 5 mins for the authorization. another time, the uhaul rep had to try 10 times to complete my reservation, as it kept crashing, a third time, you called my contact 4 times. clearly did not test this app thoroughly. Not pleasant. andy
ANDREW CThe online check in process was arduous and just did not work. Not sure if there was a connection problem but I had to hand my phone to the attendant on duty to complete the process. The last step to take pictures of the truck just never worked. It would have saved everyone a lot ot time if the attendant could have reviewed the truck with me rather than struggle thru the online process.

The store-person indicated U-Haul has frequent issues that disrupt service like this. The Truck I was given would make a continuously terrible screech at higher speeds making the 20-hour drive terrible.
