KEVIN SI have rented here many times but not recently. Check in was horrible. I pulled in and there were 2 uhaul trailers checking in. I waited about 35 minutes while 2 uhaul employes checked them in. When I finally pulled up expecting someone to check me in they both said I had to check myself in on my phone which I could have done 35 minutes before if they would have told me. I struggled checking in on my phone on the app. After about 15 minutes I asked for help & the women grabbed my phone disgusted that I could not figure it out & just got me to the next step. I still could not get the milage right but didn't dare ask for help. After about 15 more minutes she pull up in one of the trucks and said you don't have to take the picture. So after over an hour of checking in with no help I told the women I doubt if I would rent here again. Her reply "I don't care". Wow! not a great experience to say the least.
MARK LWhen I went to pick up the truck, the employee I spoke with at the counter was completely standoffish and unhelpful. She forced me to use the U-Haul app on my phone after I told her multiple times I did not want to do this and would rather work with her directly to check in. This was not convenient and was extremely frustrating. After this experience, I would not recommend this location or this company to others and would direct them elsewhere.

KAREN PNothing The service was way above pare ! My trailer had a malfunction with the tail lights normal wear and tear. I took it back and everybody was a very good customer service.
MITCHEL GPersonnel told us they needed a break when we arrived and to unhitch the tow dolly ourselves, it was such a completely opposite experience from the store we picked it up at when Chandler helped and greeted us in AZ. Staff eventually helped unhook the tow dolly but it was not a friendly, welcoming experience.
MELANI HThe customer service was so painful. It was clear we were working with someone fairly new, but he was argumentative with us every step of the way and had a horribly rude attitude. It wasn’t great at all until a seasoned employee stepped in and took over.

JOSE FI rented a 6' x 12' trailer in Huntsville, AL. The minimum rental period was 5 days since I was traveling to Colorado, but I only needed it for two. There should be an allowance for turning in the trailer early.

Richard RTrailer suffered a broken rear axle due to rusted off mounting hardware and allowed the rear-most axle to swivel uncontrollably over ten inches. Was absolutely incredible (and lucky) that it failed without the weight of the car loaded, which would have caused a serious accident and likely jack knifed in the heavy traffic we were towing in.
Jeff SDon't offer in-store desk check-in only to force everyone to do things via a mobile app. I do not want to have to download an app for a one-time U-Haul rental.

The only reason that I gave an average rating is customer service was not as attentive and appreciative as it could be. Felt like I was a bit of an annoyance and despite no other customer, the sense from the staff was "have a seat and we'll get around to you when we are ready."

laura gWe drove 22 miles and we were charged for 7 gallons of gas. This is unacceptable. You rely on photos of gauges that have limited resolution on what is actually “full” vs 3/4 full. You should either make sure that every vehicle actually has a full tank or improve your experience and based the fuel reimbursement on miles driven. Yes I understand that some people may leave the vehicle in idle and that would alter the estimate, however the gauges move in a non-linear fashion so your current method leads to fraudulent double charging where multiple customers can be charged for the same “gallon” of gas.

MICHAEL MThe drop off signage clearly states instructions which advise you to stay in your vehicle and staff will be out to help check your equipment in, This requirement applies during business hours. This was not the preferred procedure of the staff I was told when I finally had to go inside the facility for assistance after several minutes of waiting. The signage needs to reflect what the preferred procedure is.

JUDSON MI had to call and change our pick up time twice, which may have been frustrating for UHaul, but the woman who answered the phone both times could not have been more pleasant. We will definitely return to this location to rent trailers and trucks.
MICHAEL TThe uhaul call flex location was and always is great. Knowledgeable staff, had what I needed But we originally rented from a different U-Haul location which is officially a gas station. When we went there, the staff never got off her cell phone the whole time, did not know what to do about us needing an adapter from my Honda Ridgeline, and it was a failed experience Luckily I knew the U-Haul Colfax location and they took care of everything

Christopher CMy only comment here is there is clear signage instructing where to pull the vehicle for the return, and once there clear signage instructing me to stay in the vehicle and that someone would come out to handle the return. After sitting in the vehicle for several minutes, no one appeared so I thought they must be busy so I went in and there were two people just sitting at the desk. They were very friendly and helpful once I let them know I was there. My suggestion is to either do what the sign says or change the sign.

CARA LThe 24/7 self serve mobile app, while useful for after hour needs, was overall a terrible experience. I was forced to utilize the app during pick-up & drop-off which took a longer time than renting equipment with an employee at the counter. The employees at this location seemed irritated with minor questions while the app was not working with less than helpful answers & rude attitudes. Never using U-haul in the future because of this experience.

JUHA JI have rented quite a few times from different U-Haul locations. This location was by far the best one I have ever used. From the beginning of check-in to check-out they gave excellent service, were extremely competent, friendly and efficient. I will choose this location first from now on.
MALCOLM MI think it’s stupid that I as a customer have to do the job of a U-Haul employee checking out and checking back in a truck. It’s all done through the app. It should also all be done by U-Haul employees and I should have that option
