HARRY HThis was the best experience with Uhaul, ie; excellent truck, professional staff, however upon leaving and seeing and being told "gas tank at 11/16".....,(in my 35ish times renting from Uhaul it was always FULL.) I drove the first 143 miles empty, fueled at that location, did the math -miles per gallon, empty, and then estimate miles per gallon while loaded as to help with estimating refilling near drop-off point. I fueled up at exit 52. It was a long stop as the fuel sending unit is slow to register rising fuel load, after 15 minutes of fuel/stop check gauge repeat, I stopped with fuel gage at a needle over 3/4, I could see all of 3/4 bar.. it is 17 miles. How did i use 3/16 of a tank empty truck to go 17 miles. All said, fuel.tracking to 11/16 is absurd. $19.99 charge for a needle width on a poor electric sending unit. Brings a question, if a customer brings back rental with more gas then necessary, who gets that benefit? The next customer? Should be, otherwise it is gouging the honest man who tried real hard to do as expected. I will need a uhaul again soon, or maybe a Ryder truck soon. Your people were great, gas tank policy left bad taste in mouth. Sincerely, Ken Stauss

The local moving company delivered and unloaded the Box into our Denver home. All the Uhaul and contract employees were knowledgeable, friendly, and able to answer my questions. Nothing was broken or damaged - all items were treated with respect.
Joan TThay treat you like family. They were so good to me. When That I couldn't afford to pay for my storage. They told me they wouldn't sell my stuff. Then when I thought I would never see my stuff again. They surprised me and said I could come get my things. if I could take it all out at once. They didn't make me pay. They are the best place you could get a storage ever.

JERRY DThis location was fine. However we were supposed to pick up at another location but the prior renter did not leave the keys. It took 45 minutes and 5 phone calls for various U Haul personnel to figure out the problem. Them we were directed to the location above. The ORIGINAL location was a third location and we received a phone call 2 days before rental to change to Commerce Ave. the Commerce Ave location truck did not have keys. The whole situation was frustrating.

SHANNON TGreetings! We returned the UHaul truck today reserved under this contract at 8:00 AM ish in Kelso Washington which is 48 miles north and beyond where we live and unpacked our moved material. When the reservation was made, we were "incentivized" to drop the truck at that location (rather than something more local) for the benefit of UHaul and were allowed a discount on the initial quote we received. Doing so added 45 miles and two hours of time (there and back)....we only agreed to this arrangement to receive the "perceived" discount. You will note that the vehicle was returned in less than 24 hours from the time of pick up. The initial quote included: The cost of a 10 foot truck for up to 3 days/380 miles at $209.00 Safe move insurance of $45 Safe trip fee of 7.00 Environmental fee of $5.00 Total: $266.00 The total we expected to pay UHAUL was $266.00 (see attached order/reservation). These were the "transparent fees" we anticipated in making the reservation. Additionally we expected to pay for the gas to top off the initial fuel tank. Our gas tank upon receipt was not full, and down by 1/8 of a tank. We were instructed to return the vehicle at the same fuel tank capacity. The cost to fill the tank to completely full was $97.50 and that was how it was returned, benefiting U-Haul by at least an eighth of a tank of gas (? gal X $7.50 that was quoted to us to be charged if it was not brought back to the level at embarcation). When we got to the facility in Kelso, the agent initially wanted to charge us for "extra miles" (7). I disputed the fact since, even with the additional miles added (reminder: this was for the benefit of U-Haul), the total mileage came to 344, not the 380 allotted in the attached agreement. (mileage out: 34703.0 and mileage in: 35047). Clearly the agent was having difficulty with basic math. She acknowledged to us that the final total for this rental was $266.00 (excluding gas) but we did not receive an invoice or confirmation of this since I had the initial order/reservation paperwork with me (and showed it to her). Beyond that and what was NOT transparent in our original quote/reservation/agreement was a "vehicle license recovery fee" of $10.00 and a "Rental tax" of $28.01. These additional fees essentially canceled any benefit that was offered to deliver the truck at U-Haul's preferred site and we respectfully request they be waived and our credit card credited. I would hate to assume that this is some type of predatory, disguised "fee or tax" (that has been in the news and with which local legislators are keen to address). We sincerely hope that these are oversights to which U-Haul will address and refund to us based on the order/reservation to which we agreed. Are they serious. There are no homeless within 10 miles, that specific location is still new AND remote. So stupid. If PDX doesn't do it Kelso shouldn't.

My only feedback would be larger doors on all large size containers would be handy but we made it work. We ended up renting 2 units and when they heard about my broken toe she made our second unit easy access on the ground floor. The large elevators were so handy!
