Not great service, but better than most in the area. There’s usually something wrong with the trucks I get. The check in process takes so long, by the time you get in the truck and notice stuff that’s broken, you don’t want to wait 30 more minutes for service in hopes of getting a new one. Also dislike the after hours process. Takes too long. Just want to be able to drop and go. Not try to take a ton of photos, especially when it’s dark out.

I had to move by hand a motorcycle trailer to make a space available for my car trailer drop off. The attendant then went inside and I had to use an available trailer dolly to move yet another trailer slightly to allow my drop off to be properly placed in the parking space.
BRIAN KFirstly, The guy behind the desk couldn't get the system to work to check in, after 15 minutes he went outside to ask his manager for assistance. Obviously his freshly lit CIGARETTE was far more important than a customer, when he finished it he came in and corrected the issue. When we finished the paper work we went to the vehicle, where I immediately noticed damage on the side and the mirror along with notice that the fuel gauge was not completely full. After reporting this in the office the manager seemed bothered that I interrupted whatever he was doing on his phone. Reluctantly he walked to the vehicle with me and said that the damage had already been reported by a marking that was visible. When I pointed out the fuel gage he replied by that was the normal position. We drove the truck a total of seven (7) miles and when I filled the fuel it took three (3) gallons (which would equate to 0.428 miles per gallon) When I pointed this out they simply said I must have made a mistake in the amount. Now I'm FURIOUS! I shoved the fuel receipt across the counter and said "I guess I cant read either"? I am a 67 year old disabled Vietnam Vet have NEVER been bee treated with such CONTEMPT and lack of respect. As I left, I turned and said, "JUST REMEBER A HAPPY CUSTOMER TELLS A FRIEND, AN UNHAPPY CUSTOMER WILL TELL THE WORLD!" I have been a faithful customer of Uhaul since 1978. That ended Sunday April 27,2025. I will not do business with a company that treats their customers in this manner. I will also point out that this is my first review I have written on this event, however, will certainly not be the last. I will happily tell you that you will be hearing from "Pissed Consumer" "BBB" "Federal Trade Commision". Also just in the event that you didn't know Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 92A enables the Attorney General to investigate and assist the consumer who was treated unfairly. BRIAN TI was accused of leaving things behind, which I didn’t. I took all mt belongings. I emptied after hours on the weekend and called on Monday morning and the man I spoke with checked everything and closed my account. 3 days later I get a call for the wood and not closing my account. The woman called me honey and treated me like I was trash. I will never use the U-Haul on central street in Leominster, ma again and will never refer anyone to that business. The kids that work there are just that kids without adult supervision.

The two women at the counter were clearly annoyed with the system but they were very polite and professional with me. In the end they were able to figure out a workaround and it all worked. I then went to go hook up the trailer and the (off duty) manager was waiting in the lot for a family member. She jumped out of her car and hooked up the trailer and checked the lights for me as well. For what could have been a bad situation, was turned around by those 3 great ladies.

The advertised price of $39.95 when I ended up paying $186 is completely unreasonable. If I move again, I will not be using U-Haul. Additionally, the brakes on the truck I used were concerning. I had a friend back it up for me and they were the ones who mentioned that they did not feel safe. But again, the customer service was high quality.

VALDEIR VI was overcharged for miles! Milage was wrongly recorded. It was not corrected even after reporting it to the employee before taking the truck. Take pictures! I was charged for 24 hours for being 2 hours late! Snow was not properly removed on the windshield and on top of the truck. But especially the windshield. The truck shows tire pressure errors. Though I didn't get any issues with the tire pressure, dashboard indicators remained on.

KENNETH MI rented a motorcycle trailer, when I went to pick it up it was totally covered in snow. The girl came out to shovel it off but the snow had turned to total ice. I climbed up on the trailer to help her but I have a ruptured bicep on my arm so it wasn't easy. In my opinion the open trailers should be shoveled off before a customer comes to pick it up. I hate to complain because I always have good luck with Uhaul!

He was amazing and patient, but none of the cars that he had ready in the system matched the cars that were brushed off and prepared for people, and there needs to be more organization on all fronts. She was condescending and implied I was an idiot and didn’t know the process. I don’t think she knows the U-Haul app can do her job for her. She complained so much that I moved the van from the parking spot to her. She seemed annoyed that it was already checked in returned. I asked her if she wanted the key and she said “Most people leave it in the vehicle.” I said “Not when the app says to put it in the drop box.” She needs some serous training and customer service skills.

DEREK SWhile I know it was no fault of Leominster Uhaul that I reserved and was booked to rent from Aubuchon Hardware of Gardner. This took me Time, Gas, and ware and tare. Totally in the opposite direction. PLEASE DON'T BOOK AT ONE PLACE IF YOU DON'T HAVE THAT EQUIPMENT TO RENT AND SWITCH TO ANOTHER LOCATION. I think your contract states a reimbursement for this bate and switch activity but of course that was not mentioned.

BYRON MI do not have recent rental experience from uhaul to compare the experience in terms of an average. I was required to submit an selection for this. I was informed by the driver that the truck we picked up had body damage and the alignment was off, so it seems that it could have been maintained better. The vehicle did appear to be clean. While paying the final bill, the sales associate incorrectly stated that I was not able to use two different payment cards to pay the amount due. This created unnecessary hassle and it sounded as if she was doing this out of bitterness towards me after overhearing an unrelated conversation with a displeased hired person. This unnecessarily took additional time for myself and the hired person to resolve. Additionally, I attempted to verify the acceptance of two cards to pay a final bill through your online chat support. Multiple representatives did not address the question and let the chat close due to time though having received the question. Lastly, I had sought to verify the details of the insurance offered through uhaul with online chat support prior to renting the vehicle and this information was not provided from multiple representatives. It was a simple request of deductible information and I speculate the information is available within uhaul's organization.

BRIAN TNext time, at least show me what truck I’m driving instead of saying “the one by the gas station.” Also the truck I got had a light out and the check engine light immediately turned on. Other than that 10/10.
WILDER PFire your mananger, its the only way to ensure your future customers are not treated HORRIBLY and have their uhaul reported as stolen when it clearly was not. Your poor communication and note system led to this terrible manager creating a serious situation over nothing. The idiot manager filed a misleading police report. Horrible mananger. Terrible service at the LEOMINSTER, MA, CENTRAL ST location. Couldnt be a worse employee. I am considering legal action against your company due to the misleading police report filed, and hope that manager does not keep her job after this unacceptable situation.

I will say that my entire experience of renting a truck with an appliance dolly (given furniture dolly), had to go to another uhaul facility to get an appliance dolly and was charged for that plus held $60, extended the truck rental, spoke to a person after I seen the ad in the truck for the storage unit, she messed up on setting up the storage unit and told me she was putting in that I could then keep the truck until 12, got to the storage unit and lost over an hour while the staff fixed the women's mistake. Was the worst experience ever. Except the wonderful staff at the Leominster mass uhaul storage facility.

I have spent hours waiting to speak to someone only for the phone to hang up on me. and then to receive no help from anyone online. the only person to help me were the people at the storage unit. i had to file a claim through them and reopen it several times bc I still haven't received my refund for the fees. I had to call the storage manager again bc he's the only one who has helped me bc to this day I still haven't received my refund. I wouldn't recommend renting from U-Haul to anyone bc of how much time it takes to speak to anyone and how little they care. by the way it's been over a month and I still haven't received my refund. this was terrible and I deserve a bigger refund for how much time I have spent on this. this service besides you having one kind and caring employee has been terrible. reference number 3721448

The guy that supposedly “fixed” it only had to put a bigger washer in the back of the door because the door is worn out were the screw is. But no.... he decided to force the screw tight. Only to realize it wasn’t aligned & then grabbed a drill and just made the lock hole bigger, instead of doing the job properly. You tell me that isn’t some ghetto carpentry 🤦🏻♀️. I know for a fact that it’s going to get loose again. If he would’ve fixed it properly he wouldn’t have to come back again when it loosens up again. The lazy work harder & double. I sure hope they don’t try to charge me for something that was already messed up.. mind you that I said yes to the unit ONLY because he said it was going to get fixed for proper use. I’m not the happiest camper but I’m happy with the storage space & the facility is very clean. Just that 1 little detail would’ve given U-haul a 5 star rating but I have to be realistic, so there you have it.
