Peter M | Online Move InThe person that checked me in did not car for the fact it was raining outside. So the trailer number was not the same. He claimed he would change it and text me. I never received the text. I went to drop it off at my drop off location and that was great the gentleman said he would call in the morning and take care of the discrepancy for me. I followed up there with a phone call to verity that it was taken care of.

RADCLIFFE AMom and I have had devastating health care issues and had to be at Mayo. Allen and Andy and everyone has been kind and compassionate . I’ve spent several thousand at U-Haul since 2018. They took good care of me. No one has been as kind to mom and I . We knew our treasures were safe. Milo at the Civic Center was also kind.the staff at the Commercial site next to Pepsi are sweethearts.They helped me so I could get back to be with Mom who had a stroke, I love these guys!

CHRISTOPHER OProvide customers with vehicles that do not have mechanical issues and need roadside assistance after sitting on a highway with an issue! Also fix your inventory management! You can’t allow people to reserve trucks and then when we pick them up, tell them that there are no trucks available! This happened at the location in La Crosse and that why I had to drive an hour away to this location in Rochester!

Amy E | First ImpressionsI had my reservation confirmed online when made at the uhaul on north Broadway outside Rochester 5 minutes away and nearest my home. I then got a call in a few days stating my reservation was reconfirmed at the uhaul on south Broadway twenty five minutes from home. Caused needless extra miles and expense with the uhaul rental. Nothing on website said my original booking when made there were no trucks available at that specific site. I wonder if that location is simply owned to draw people from northern part of Rochester to rent and then get switched to the real site in southern Rochester?
SHERWOOD PGreat location, great staff. They listen to my problems with the vehicle which was immense having extreme loud noise in the cabin due to a broken weatherstrip and possibly issues with the muffler. I had to head phones with noise canceling to survive in this long trip and could not hear the phone

DOUGLAS BThe store was clean and well organized. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The truck itself seemed like it yearned for death. The seat was nearly impossible to move in order to reach the pedals. The driver side door was not sealed well so the ride was very loud and cold. The truck did not easily reach speeds over 50 mph. Braking caused the engine to Rev up to over 4k rpm. The door on the back of the truck was incredibly difficult to open and shut, likely due to no grease on the rails. The mpg was atrocious. Let the truck reach its final resting place before it brings someone with it.
SAMANTHA E1) 150k miles 20' truck with looseness in the steering causing significant 'wander' and continuous adjustment. 2) front brakes are 'loud' and 'metallic' 3) When returned gas gauge 'pointer' was right on 1/4 as required by contract. *** I added gas over 1/4 (8 gals) before driving last 45mies which when checked at U-haul left gauge right on 1/4. Alan at South Broadway claims 4 gals were added to raise gauge to 1/4 ~ this is not correct!!!
TODD JI no longer have need to use storage facility , but I am 💯 percent going to use uhaul again if ever the need arises for storage or hauling.

JOSEPH TI do not have any complaints regarding the employees at the desk, they were very helpful and friendly. As for the reservation, I used the app to pick up the truck. when I was taking photos and entering the vehicle information; the mileage on the odometer was different than what was on the app, the vehicle had over 30 miles more than what it should have been. I then tried to take photos which it kept having errors , I then thought to myself that I better go inside to ask the staff before pursuing. I returned around 6:58pm and luckily they were still open. They also saw that the app did not register the odometer miles that I had entered, it was still saying that I drove over 60 miles when I went roughly 13. If I wouldn’t have noticed, I would have been charged 47 miles at the rate listed. More than double the charge of the U-Haul. The gas tank should have been at 1/4 according to the app and it was visibly under 1/4. Also, the cup holders had straw wrappers in them, it was not vacuumed out and the rear space had white dust almost like sheet rock on the floor. Why did all of this happen? Did the previous person who rented the vehicle enter false information? Is there not somebody who goes to check the vehicle after it’s returned by someone who used the app? This experience was NOT what I have had in the past with U-Haul . Very disappointing.

MICAH HThere was a snafu when I made the reservation. I gave the person helping me the destination and date of arrival for the pod I was reserving. That information failed to get put into the computer, so when the day arrived when the pod was supposed to be delivered it wasn’t delivered because it was still sitting back at the location where I had made the reservation.

DARIN HThe lady that worked there on 11/09 is very unfriendly and unprofessional. Responded to my “thank you” was an “uhm hmmm” sound. Not sure if she is a racist or just unhappy?? The self pick up and return is the worst feature ever. Not worth it and very inconvenient. You still have to basically do everything to inspect the vehicle from picking to returning by yourself with lots of unnecessary, time consuming steps.
Nghia NEquipment was excellent and easy to use. The person who eventually helped me return the trailer was kind, courteous and professional. He apologized for the lack of help from his coworker.

And the storage facility was incredibly clean and user-friendly: 5-star rating and there’s no doubt about it. Note: It would be nice to have a lock reclamation opportunity. I didn’t need to keep the lock which came with my storage unit and could have drop-boxed it there. And I have already shared my experience with others.

Best employee there hands down. I went outside one morning to get my motorcycle out of the storage unit to get it ready to pull out for the season, and was shamed by Summer for Storing my motorcycle indoors. I had no fuel in it and had it winterized. She said..."lets get you an outdoor storage unit...RIGHT NOW!! and yelled at me. I was disguted with how she treated me. I stopped paying for the storage unit and expected it to go to collections. Savanah called me with a settlement offer and was very pleasant...so I took the offer. I had the perfect storage unit and I love the facility. I am extremely dissapointed as to how it all turned out...I wish I had that storage unit back, however, I refuse to give my business to someone who treats their clients so unprofessionaly.
PHILIP W | Overall ExperienceOn the day I came to unload my storage unit, there was a lock placed on my unit for unpaid balance. My account was on auto pay and was not overdue. I had to have the staff remove the lock which set me back moving all my stuff into my house. When I had emptied out the unit, I came and spoke to the manage and told him I wanted to close my account. He asked me to write my information on a post-it and he would close the account. Four days later, I was charged for the month of November. When I attempted to contact the local UHAul place they kept disconnecting my call, this happened 4 times. I finally had to call the corporate number who connected me with a person at the local store. I recognized her voice as the person who hung up on my earlier. She assisted me in closing my account and crediting my money back. This storage unit was expensive, I was really frustrated with how I was treated and the lack of respect in both instances. I would likely not recommend this place to anyone or use this storage unit again unless some sort of restoration for treatment happens.

I originally made reservation online 10/2/2023 and thought everything was fine. 10/6/2023 got email asking why I haul lost my service because I didn’t move in. Called and Summer helped me, my reservation was nowhere to be found. I went after work to do this I person, she was already helping another customer who had similar experience. Standing there waiting for her to help me listening to Summer handle the customers issue I felt pleasure to see how she dealt with this. Since and after Covid I’ve dealt and seen nothing but trouble with customer service, she’s definitely a asset to your company.

Once I took the lock off, my alarm kept going off, so when I tried to enter my code, my code said I was not done with the check in process which I was. This place needs more staff because the staff here looks like they could use more people other times I came there where two people and the lines where still long. I wasn’t aware I had to keep the staff appraised of when we are using a unit we are renting. They literally won’t leave me alone and are threatening of renting it out from under me. Everyone that works for this company is incredibly unprofessional and we will never be back. The regional office is a nightmare. I have never had a more horrible experience.

Gina C | First ImpressionsFor the duration of my rental, the security gate was nonfunctional or just left open. When I started my contact, I was assured there would be a remote gate opener provided. After several requests over months, the remote was not available or not working. No apology or accommodation was offered. On each visit when I inquired, staff was always hard to find and not helpful when I was able to find someone. Parking spot was very difficult to maneuver my trailer into due to the tight clearance side to side as well as the limited turn radius. Parking spots were poorly maintained with a lot of junk and what apparently is building materials being stored there. Very disappointing for such a new facility. Will look for something else next season.

I again asked him and he said “I wasn’t sure which of the two were open” so I was moved again and was able to get into a spot.

Another staff member at same location missed my reservation for a truck, then I had another on site staff reserve for me and they STILL messed up. Got our rv parking spot but someone had left their camper in it. So we have to return tomorrow after they tow it out hopefully. Very stressed since we have to leave town(husband is an otr truck driver) and we have nowhere else to store our pickup. Also cannot reach store by phone. Wait time message said it would be over an hour wait.

Otherwise Staff was good about explaining products and contract to me and tried to help me figure out what happened with app reservation that did not appear on record a bit of snafu with technology aspects, not a staff issue just website on device issue. Also gentleman was knowledgeable on hitch Installations so I could feel confident in requesting an one installed at another time. Thank you all and hope that buggy sprinkler system gets fixed!

Pratibha V | First Impressionsfrom the first day I did not receive a swipe card and never was able to when I went in each time as I just being told I didn't need one though I couldn't get in after 8 without one. beginning the first month my billing was messed up because the card I used for eft was never used so I keot being billed and given late fees. you corrected the errors of late free but continued month after month and then when I canceled my account, twice btw, you did bill my card..attempted with another late fee. the storage was clean and would have been more accessible with a swipe car but the continued stupidity of every month having to call and remit further payments after being transferred to second parties and waiting 20 minutes or more..exhausting and inconvenient. you wore me out.

This is supposed to be the newest facility and a secured unit and even with that someone was still able to break into my storage unit and nobody had informed me about the alarm being triggered and I found out 4 days after my stuff was stolen that the alarm was triggered and no employees had contacted me to alert me. Very dissatisfied on the actions that were taken.

Other than that, it’s been great. Even being on the 3rd floor, the available flatbeds and wider elevator make it a lot more bearable and easier.

steven g | Overall ExperienceThis was our first experience with renting storage, I paid 100 a month for 11 months.. Several months into our rental we went there to obtain our winter coats. MICE had gotten into everything! When we rented the unit the staff failed to put some rodent poison in our unit. I talked the guy into putting it in the unit when we discovered the mice. When we returned for rest of our items it was HORRIBLE. A live mouse was in our unit. They ate 6 winter jackets, ate into our leather couch and chair. Beautiful towels and home decor ruined. An area rug was filled with a nest and wet urine. Numerous notes are left in our account and staff aware but NO call yet from the general manager after 5 days of waiting, I certainly pray they plan to compensate for all of these damages. I have many pics as well as some of their staff took pics too. Devastating and very stressful. My young son has lost many many belongs at an already stressful covid year.

People were nice, but most of the time there is only one person working, so it’s hard to get someone to help you if there is another customer. It would be nice to see more help. Other than that, it was a place that was secure and we felt comfortable having our camper stored there.

Gillian K | First ImpressionsI had found rice and pieces of fluff from something all over boxes and furniture I had in the unit when I started moving things back out of the unit. I then realized mice had been in there after I moved a basket of clothes to the house I moved into and found mouse droppings and a nest hidden on the middle of the clothes, as well as napkins, a bag of rice, and furniture chewed on to make a nest. Mouse droppings were also on multiple other items. I ignored it at the moment because I was just trying to get the move done but I really hope this issue gets fixed for the next person who uses these storage units..

During the call it dropped due to poor cellular connection, and when I called her back, she yelled at me for "hanging up on her" and told me not to do that again. I explained that the call was dropped and I did not hang up on her. She was not apologetic and treated me poorly.

So, I was given another one after the staff figured out which number that one was. The female staff was very helpful and worked hard appearing to be the only staff member there to assist customers.

Even with the covid-19 going on they remain to maintain excellent business and I salute and thank you guys.
