KENTON RThe person changing locks had problems with opening it. When we were trying to lock it we had such problems with putting the lock on. I went and asked some but they were busy. They said once they were done with the customer he would help us. I continue to push the mechanism and finally it clicked into place. That’s the one issue I have. We are senior citizens so it was difficult. Are these units mouse proof?

Staff changed my reservation date through a misunderstanding or miscommunication and the trailer I scheduled was not available when I needed it. I had scheduled it weeks in advance so I could plan my move. It was very frustrating. I called a few times the day/night before and was told my call would be returned (it was not). Apparently the “national system” was down. Is this even possible for a massive company like U-Haul? In the end, I was able to use a different trailer so it ultimately worked out. The staff during my pick up did their best to help. It was just very frustrating/irritating.

The truck is unsafe to operate as the steering wheel is not straight and shake a lot on the road if i go over 90km.

The trailer I booked, didnt have lights working properly (this was troubleshot and confirmed) I ended up having to take a trailer two-sizes too big and way bigger than I needed. Recommend-- Had no choice but to come here. If I had another viable choice I would have looked into it.

FRANKLIN BNOTHING! This was my first time using Uhaul. I've used to he a mover so I knew how to move. But I am very impressed with how easy it was to book and how friendly the employees were. I enjoyed my experience with Uhaul. My friend is moving her boyfriend from a small town east of humbolt and I am gonna use this company. It was extremely affordable supplies were extremely cheap. I can't be how cheap everything was. I am extremely impressed!

EDWARD BEnsure there are staff at the loading and unloading bays consistently. Also, make sure that the loading and unloading bays are shovelling and not just putting ice salt on snow and turning it into slippery slush. We struggled to get into the loading bay for 20 minutes and had to pull in forward which made loading hard
Mackenna HI got charged for not filling up the tank even though it wasn’t full when I got it. I filled it to the amount they told me to fill it (how it was received) but still got charged for 6 litres of fuel. The wait times were long. The app didn’t work 80% of the time. When I tried to drop off the van their systems were down. Overall an annoying experience. The vans locks didn’t work well, you had to try several times to lock and unlock it. The tires had zero traction for our weather.

KORY KOn pick up the system crashed numerous times. They tried using the back up system and kept assisting other people through while we waited for over a hour before eventually leaving with the plan of renting a truck from somewhere else. After leaving we got a call after we crossed half the city to say that it was working. We drove back there, and to our surprise it still wasn't working but they finally somehow managed to force it through on the back up system. They acted friendly when we got there and started the truck for us. They let it run the whole time we waited, but did you know on the backup point of sale, you don't get a link to verify the vehicle, the fuel, and condition? So you are at the mercy of whatever they decided it was. When I finally got in the truck,k it was well under 1/4 of a tank. It only had a handful of miles left to empty. They are supposed to be returned at a 1/4 of a tank minimum, and maybe this one was, but because they let it run so long, it was closer to a 1/8. So we had to pay to put extra fuel in it and got an additional mileage charge for this trip. (have done a rental from this location before, going the exact same route, and we never had a mileage charge)

REJEANNE BI would just warn customers about how rough the ride is on your furniture. As even with everything strapped down I had multiple pieces of furniture break due to the vibrations in the box.

They were professional and very good at loading and unloading, getting a couple large items out with proficiency. They were also very kind and wanted to work hard. We asked if they could stay an extra hour and they did. We would highly recommend them.

Had to pay extra money to fix the mistake made by staff which is unprofessional.

EDWIN MIt was all good until the end. Miscommunication I haven't used the storage unit for 4 months and got charged for it. I told them I was leaving but the movers put the lock back on. So I am out 1000bucks.

W KHire more people? This location always seems really unorganized and the employees are pretty flustered. When I picked up my uHaul, there were a couple people ahead of me and then after 10 minutes of waiting, about 4 different parties walked in after. There was one employee sitting with the customers and another on the phone, frantically trying to resolve some other issue. This time was my second time renting from uHaul in the last month. My first time was not good at all. I almost had to cancel my move.

Lucien T | First ImpressionsI always use u-haul for my moves and decided to try the storage facility. i am very happy with all the services available and the storage units are reasonably priced in comparison to mini mall storage that kept raising my monthly fees up to $900 and the one time i was late 15 days for my locker they locked me out and were abbott to sell my belongings on the 16th day on the locker i had since covid 2019 which was a total of 6 years. i feel so welcome at uhaul every time i go to pay my monthly fee and the staff are so good every visit,. the place is very clean and has a public washroom that is convenient when i need to access my storage plus they have the best prices for bulk boxes that make my storage easy to organize:. i also like the donation drop off that is there as well, i found some neat items and also left a couple useful things. My uhaul location is excellent for all my moving and storage requirements. i highly recommend!

We put 40$ gas in truck only to find out the gas tank was punctured so it all leaked onto ground. Then we received zero compensation or refund including 100 deposit that was paid prior to rental. After giving him the damaged lock, as good as canceling the service with no trust of leaving anything behind.

We were required to take a photo but was never stated before the check out process that I would need to provide one. The customer service agent made me go back to take a photo. It would have been nice to know this process when I first rented the uhaul. I am currently 7 months pregnant and had to go lift the door by myself as my help had left. Know processes ahead of time would have been beneficial.

I thought they could provide a $20 lock since I'll be renting at over 200/month because of a technical issue. Otherwise check in went very smoothly.

Could not move in our items until the next day. Was left with a full Uhaul truck we could not unload and had to keep overnight. When asked Uhaul staff, was told it is procedure to apply a Uhaul lock when storage unit has no lock. But we arrived the day the booking started, so not sure why a lock was applied before we even got there. Instructions were not clear on this process.

When I came on December 29th to get the truck, i asked Mohit Gill to show me the storage unit. What he showed me was a 5 x 8. I told him that was not what I agreed to. Then I went to load the stuff, while Mohit was to find the proper sized unit. When I got back I was told that he had assigned a 10 x 10 unit at a much higher price. I said no, Then I had to wait half an hour while Mohit was busy with something else. When he finally was free he offered me a 6 x 10 for more money. I said no. I finally got the 5 x 10 that I had reserved and moved in.

As such, I tried to use the U-haul app to avoid the frustration with the staff but the app has its own set of failures. And why does the app allow you to book things that your location, when you go to pick it up, doesn’t have?? That is nonsense! My perception of U-haul over all is that it is a greedy corporation that has cornered the market on cheap DIY moving and vehicle rentals that doesn’t care at all about the discrepancy between its advertised experience and the reality of the the rental experience which often includes great frustration, stress, and anxiety. My hope is to never use U-haul again if I can help it.

The prospect of moving to a new city and not having anywhere to put all your possessions is a very stressful thought. Additionally, it seemed like only one staff member was proficient in serving customers while the other two were almost helpless to serve anyone without the help of the proficient staff member. While I got what I booked in the end, it was not a straightforward or simple process and in fact it produced a lot of anxiety. I don’t really want to use u-haul again after that.

When I called to ask what was up with that they said it was an oversight and they would put my lock back on. A year later I come to empty the unit and the lock is still on it and now nobody can find that key and it takes forever to get it cut off. Manager was not apologetic and really wasn't helpful at all. I will never recommend this location to anyone.

They are an asset to the company and what keeps this location operating at peak efficiency. Uhaul main office should support them so they can continue their high standard of operation. I noticed that they could use additional staff on a number of occasions that I was attending to my storage lockers, renting trucks or trailers. They we’re all very busy with customers and yet they continued pushing to the extreme to assist everyone in an a timely and friendly manner. John’s work ethic and the staff’s were top notch and demonstrated that they would do anything to help customers above and beyond most companies standards. If our employees did as much as these individuals do on a daily basis It would have made my job much easier and I could attend to more significant issues. It was a pleasure to do business with this group and would recommend this location to my friends an associates. I would tell them this group no matter who the customer is will always get the best care possible even it’s their first time coming to Uhaul on Miller Ave in Saskatoon. Saskatchewan. Well done to the the team on Miller and thanks for what you do!

Also the size I ordered on the phone was not big enough despite explaining contents so had to upgrade to a bigger size at a higher price.
