Was told the trailer i rented was going to be 175 bucks roughly ended up paying 300 dollars to rent the said trailer and was also told i would get a 100 dollar deposit back and only got 60 when I dropped the trailer off

Daniel CEquipment that was promised the night before via email was not there and was forced to take a larger unneeded truck. The lady, assuming manager, who was called over was rude and uncooperative. Drop off at spuds shack in murphy was very kind and efficient. The truck was not the problem, was personnel in Socastee and wrong equipment.
WADE MThe staff was the biggest drawn-down reason.... The clerk was untrained in how to rent a truck, and the manager had to assist while she was already overwhelmed with tasks. The clerk was not reading the prompts on the screen and kept attempting to push things through... I would think such a highly regarded company would ensure training is provided to staff? Van was brand new and perfect, no issues, that was a true highlight! Hope they get some better training and help so they can thrive!!

Suzanne RGate pins kept coming out if a bump was hit. Also 1 pin was bent and half the length it should have been when trailer was picked up.

ANDREW LWhen I arrived No one was in the office or could be reached for 20 minutes. After walking around trying to find some help a representative showed up and assisted me in securing my item I had reserved. She was very pleasant and helpful thru the whole process. The dolly was in good shape EXCEPT the nylon straps had torn abrasions that will NOT PASS SCDOT Inspection since they were compromised. This IMPORTANT item should not have passed U-Haul's Pre-inspection. The printer was out of ink (really??) for a hard copy of contract. U-Haul can do better. Very nice new facility.
Sam HReally great customer service. Annamarie was super helpful in ordering the parts and scheduling the installation of a trailer hitch. The installer showed me how it works. The young salesman even got on the ground to show me where it was (hidden)! Who knew!
Kristi HThis location was wonderful, however it was not our original location. We were supposed to pickup at an Ace Hardware, upon having trouble with the mobile check-in we went to ask an employee for assistance and were told they were not trained in the process and could do absolutely nothing to help us (their exact words). After sitting on the phone for 45 minutes with a representative who was also struggling to help us and got a little snippy at times, we finally got moved to this location. We did get a free upgrade to a 20-ft from a 15-ft since this location did not have any available, which was nice. We did end up behind schedule due to the issues.

Rick HIt took an hour to get my trailer rental. Lots of inexperienced employees and apparently only one that knew how to use the computer. Suggest cross training so facility would be more productive.

KIMBERLY D | First ImpressionsWorst cust experience ever! 12-23-2025, three new employees started on 23 Dec, at no fault of their own they could not help. Annmarie was in a terrible mood. Sign on front door said call her, she answered with a mad temper, said she was unloading a box truck, would be there when she finished, waited 30mins called her back, said she was busy and to wait. Second name on the door “call Samson”. Called 4 times no answer, look at the cameras, 6 of us waiting for Annmarie. She assigned me 2161, that was rented, then 2160, that was rented, ended with 2131. When I returned the box trucks had to walk the property to find Annmarie, she was still in a bad mood. A second black female called in, line of customers at the counter, Annmarie said hello to her, she did not respond and went outside to wash trucks. Annemarie called Samson, complained about her and asked for help. This was a worse case scenario for how to deliberately provide poor customer service. Robert Conley 757-324-9119
Robert C | First ImpressionsI wasn't going to comment, but since you asked. 12/7 I reserved a 10x10 unit. 12/8 Found out it was 2 5x10 units. I thought that would be ok, but I really wanted a 10x10. 12/10 Went to the facility about 9:30 am; it was closed; around 10:00 am a manager from another facility came to open up since no one was there; he gave me a new 10x10 locker, but it only had a single door and I wanted a whole door; since he was very busy taking care of customers, I decided to come back the next day. 12/11 The actual manager was there and training someone on the computer; he assigned me a new locker and I returned one lock; I put my stuff in the locker 1032 and locked the lock; I know this b/c you cannot take the key without locking the lock, and I had the key. 12/? My key card did not work so I went to the office. Ann Marie (?) not the manager. I went to the locker, and my key did not work. She went back with me to verify. She said they did not cut off locks, so she didn’t know what happened. She texted the manager, and I said I would be back. 12/16 The manager went with me to the locker; my key did not work; manager somehow found the key for the lock on the door; my stuff is still in the locker, but someone had put some stuff in a cart in the locker, not me. There was no explanation as to how my lock was removed and another put in its place. 12/17 Since security is lax and no one bothered to explain how someone removed my lock and put on another lock, I decided to vacate the locker. I am fortunate that I did not have anything too valuable in the locker. I emptied the locker and rented one at an Extra Space facility for half the price. Needless to say, I was very disappointed. No one even offered to find out how my lock was removed and replaced with another.

In the office were two ladies not paying attention to me or the time because the door was locked. They saw me but didn't acknowledge me. I left. The next day , I was treated rudely and abruptly. Good experience until the end. I close my unit a week early from my rent paying day.

SHAWN S | First ImpressionsMy only complaint is that whenever I had a question or went inside to pick up my rental truck there were never enough employees. On more than one occasion I was told by multiple different employees, “I’m the only one here and it will be a couple minutes.” Not to mention the line I already had to wait in due to there only being one employee. And the 2 times I had to call no one ever answered the phone. Other than that the storage facility area is awesome and convenient. Lots of carts and big elevator helped moving in and out smooth. Had a 10 X 15 locker so I had a lot of stuff.

Brought it to the attention of the manager who was nothing but nice and helpful. There was a male emplyoee, around 35 sitting and the front desk who was asked by said manager to go check the function of the gear shift as I was concerned about it failing. He was visibly annoyed by doing this. He and I went to the truck, he sat it the seat moving the lever in a childish manner. I attempted to explain my concern to him and his reply and was much less than professional. Making statements asking if I was sizing him up. Will never again use your company.

I recently received a callback 3 days later and they still had not closed my account even though I moved out on the 30th of August the person said I would receive an invoice showing paid in full and closed, instead I got a survey inquiry.

On the last day that I was moving out,there was a problem with the automatic door opening. I went to the office to mention it to attendant. He came right out and figured out that someone had shut off a switch on the inside,locking the door. He turned it back on and everything was good after that. Very friendly and even asked if I needed help with moving anything.

We put our belongings in there and met some really nice employees along the way, but the journey is over and we were happy!
