There are diffidently kinks that need to be worked out in the security part of the building. Getting into the building proved difficult for myself and many other people making it extremely inconvenient. Please resolve these issues as soon as possible for future renters at your facility.

CAMILLE H | First ImpressionsI ordered containers to be shipped from my home in Illinois and delivered to my new home in North Carolina. I was told when I placed the order that they would arrive in Little River South Carolina on April 29th. Instead they where shipped to Myrtle Beach South Carolina and arrived on May 3rd. I called the number provided to set up the delivery to my home and was transferred 5 time to 5 different states. It took me 4 days till I finally got someone on the phone that could set up the delivery to my home. First I was told that delivery to my home wasn't available an I would have to pick it up myself or hire movers, After alot of arguing it was now going to be delivered to my home but I would have to pay more money to have it delivered, finally on the 9th of May. This was the worst experience ever and will NEVER recommend or use U-Haul again.

THOMAS M | Overall ExperienceThe reason for this review is : My appointment was scheduled for 9:30 am, on arrival I was told that the manager is late and that he did the hitch installation. The employee that was there called the manager (at 10:00) and was told he was on his way. On his arrival, at 11:15 ! His excuse was that he had a busy morning. As if I had nothing else to do today. His 2 other associates were very nice and accommodating. My only comment to him was (you don’t check your appointments for the next day before you leave).

JOSHUA AMy only complaint is that they could not install my hitch, because of rusted bolts they couldn't remove, not because lack of trying, just not the right equipment to handle that situation, the staff was amazing and very apologetic and I understand my vehicle is 15 years old and from New England. But over all was a good experience. Maybe invest in a stronger impact gun, just a suggestion.

John L | Online Move InThe customer service was great. However, they did not have the key in the lock box ready for the early 7:00am pick up time. Additionally, the gas was only filled to an 8th of a tank. Frustrating to go through all of the steps for early pick up to only be delayed due to no key and having to get gas immediately.

BRETT AMy delivery was set for Thursday, April 3 between 9 AM and 11 AM at 12 PM. The container still haven’t arrived. I called U-Haul and the person said oh they didn’t call you. We don’t have anybody to deliver. They called out. We’re still working on trying to get this delivered. I told them I had movers coming. They said a supervisor will call me back a supervisor never called me back so I called again and they gave me several excuses why my delivery never showed up so they tell me I’m on the schedule for Friday between 8 AM and 10 AM and I’m the first person on the schedule. My containers did not arrive until 12 o’clock. The girl that delivered them to me was great however she did say that she didn’t get the call until 10 AM that there was a delivery and she lives pretty far. However, no one seemed to care that I had to take you another day off work so that’s two days of pay. I’ve lost movers that I had to pay twice for because the containers never showed up. I spent over $3300 in Illinois to have my stuff packed up and sent to South Carolina then another $2000 keeping my stuff in storage for when I bought the house and was ready to move and then my stuff doesn’t show up. This is completely unacceptable. I currently do have a storage unit. I am paying for which I feel. I’m about to pull all my stuff out of there and take it to another company and give them my money. I could honestly say at this point, I would not recommend U-Haul to anybody I care about this should happen to no one ever!

MARSHALL SI booked a 6x12 trailer with a ramp Your sit was swamped with customers and you only had one guy trying his best however I tried to explain my concerns with the trailer as it was not 6 foot wide at gate He said take it and if it’s not right bring it back and we won’t charge you I did that and returned 20 minutes later as it is not 6 foot wide at the gate I called the 1800 number Rhonda assured me I would not get charged Well you charged me and I would appreciate my refund This was a waste of my day as I had a lot planned

sergio sVery disappointed! I made a reservation in the beginning of march, and found the location was closed with a sign stating the office had moved. When i went to that location, i was initially told one wasn't available. Fortunately, one was on the lot, but not checked in... it took several attempts and 30 minutes to figure out the computer, delaying my departure.
ALAN CArrived at the rental location promptly at 7 am to retrieve rental. I had completed all rental tasks online prior to my arrival to expedite the pickup process as I had a tight timeline the rest of the day. However, the agent on duty had no clue how to pull up my reservation and started creating an entirely new reservation. Even after showing her my rental confirmation information, she was unable to complete the steps to to check out the trailer. She called a supervisor, who was able to walk her through the process and was finally able to complete the process. As I was making the payment, I realized the price was higher than it should be. I asked her about it, but she didn't have a clue. She instructed me to ignore it and the price would correct itself later. I was uncomfortable with her answer, but since I was in a hurry I signed anyway. I knew it was not wise to do so, but I had her assurance it would be taken care of. Found out after I returned the trailer that it was charged the safe tow coverage at a cost of $8 that I had not authorized. So much for the system correcting itself. I then went to get the trailer connected to my truck and was surprised I had to connect it myself. I knew I was very qualified to perform this task, but it is the first time ever that I had to connect the trailer myself at a U-Haul location. She said she was not capable to do so and I would have to wait until much later in the morning to have someone do it for me. Not having the time to waste, I professionally hitched the trailer to the tow vehicle and was on my way. The whole process took 45 minutes and I was the only customer at this location. I was surprised the individual lacked the necessary skills/qualifications to perform required tasks when it was known a trailer was going out that morning. A manager did contact me and was apologetic, but kept coming up with a lot of excuses trying to justify the poor performance. This should have been an opportunity for him to understand his shortfalls and be happy I brought them to his attention. I didn't need to hear about how combining two locations has been causing problems. I experienced the growing pains...he assured me things would be different when I come back and provided his contact information.

They could not even tell me why the price was 100 dollars more. Horrible experience…never using this location again.
ASHLEY MI did the drop-off through the APP, so no help was needed, although when I was leaving after all was complete, someone came out and thanked for assisting myself. I left the light attachment on the ground, it would of been nice to have been notified that they had it.

STEVEN CFix the pick up issues!! I did 24/7 check in on time at 7am but was unable to get keys until almost 8:30am after 4 phone calls ended with customer service contacting the GM because no one was at the facility that was to have been opened at 7am!!! Completely unacceptable when movers are being paid by the hour!!! At a minimum, keys should've been available by lockbox. I'm DISGUSTED by this experience!!!

HERBERT SStaff is beyond what is considered helpful and courteous for whatever you are in need of, and answer every question to the fullest. They even help work around the app that seems to have a few flaws to help you get the service you need.
BRIAN G | First ImpressionsMy box arrived before the date I was quoted. It was stored there until I found a storage unit. That’s when the problems started I scheduled a delivery time. I was told between 10am-12 pm. At 12pm I was not contacted so I called the office. To make a long story short I was on hold & shuffled around for over 2 hours. Finally it was delivered at 2pm. I had to pay the guy I had hired to unload my box extra because of the time he waited around. Then scheduled for it to be picked up between 12pm-2pm. Again not there so I called to find out the problem. This time I was not put on hold & shuffled around. Said the driver was running behind. But it was still being picked up. It was picked up after 3pm. But again I was not notified of the delay. I did get a text that the driver was on their way. At the other end in California I had non of these problems. Even wi

Kathleen GSurprisingly, the whole thing worked out! This despite the lack of an apparently cohesive customer service point-of-contact at U-Haul! Every time I called, I either got NO Answer, or several re-directs and promises of call-backs that sometimes didn't happen. I felt like I was dealing with the federal government!
