Donald PWhenever I went to this location,I was always greeted by a staff member that asked if I needed any assistant with anything. On the last day that I was moving out,there was a problem with the automatic door opening. I went to the office to mention it to attendant. He came right out and figured out that someone had shut off a switch on the inside,locking the door. He turned it back on and everything was good after that. Very friendly and even asked if I needed help with moving anything.

He continued to tell me that he might quit so he would pass my number along to the next person to help me. super unprofessional and left a bad taste in my mouth. made me not want to use u-haul moving forward.
Grace HEveryone was very cordial, friendly, polite, and worked very hard to make me feel respected, considered, and valuable as a customer. I had ordered, recieved, and had installed even one day earlier, of my initial appointment. Though my Nissan Rouge Sport rear light gave them a hard time, being removed and reinstalled (manufacturer fluke in design), they worked diligently to keep me informed of work being done! This is the biggest UHaul facility I have EVER seen!!! There is a three story storage facility present. I did not use, but, overall this facility is a huge, new business! The staff is younger, but, I was impressed as how hard they demonstrated politeness and timely responses! I had accidently spilled my drink, I was about to wipe up, as I warned the young man to watch the spill so not to fall. To my utter shock and amazement, the young man, politely said, "Madam, let me clean that up for you! Took the paper towels, retrieved from the large, clean bathrooms dispenser, and kneeled down and cleaned up the mess. Once done, he politely asked "Mam is there anything else I can do for you, like give you a water?" Which I accepted. I was HIGHLY impressed in this facility, so if I require a UHaul within this area for retrieval, I will surely return to give my patronage, because I appreciated the RESPECT as a Woman, Customer, and Retired Veteran! After installation, the manager explained the install warranty and how to remove and install the hitch ball, as I requested to remove. My rear lights worked perfectly a safety concern. I departed this facility, after closing, however, the "one day earlier installation," made me satisfied and gave a much better timeliness to have my hitch, so I could drive North to retrieve my last load, to return to my new SC relocation. I HIGHLY recommend using this facility, as they had an excellent selection of hitch equipment replacement parts, like hitch balls and wiring, as well as everything moving materials required! What got me to notice, I saw my FIRST UHaul shopping cart for when you have a large, moving box purchase order, that made me giggle, and become "amazed!!!" I wanna THANK THE STAFF HERE TO OFFERING ME EXCELLENT SERVICE! Which while waiting for my install I noticed each customer for moving boxes, storage obtaining or payment, parts, or questions, EACH AND EVERY CUSTOMER WAS TREATED RESPECTFULLY & CORDIALLY!!! I wanna THANK THE STAFF, KEEP UP THIS SERVICE TOWARDS CUSTOMERS, I SEE GREAT SUCCESS! I MOST DEFINITELY BE RETURNING, IF NEED ARISES, I SAW NUMEROUS 26 & 20 TRUCKS, VANS, AND PICKUPS PRESENT!!! KAILYN GMa and I wanted to move down here to live the beach life. So we packed up our belongings and headed for Myrtle, Myrtle Beach that is. Now our kinfolk said you’re gonna need some storage for all your belongings. That there truck rental app had a deal that just couldn’t be beat! We put our belongings in there and met some really nice employees along the way, but the journey is over and we were happy!

LLOYD LYour employee I believe was high or under the influence of drugs. I asked her employee ( Alfredo) did the van have blankets he told me yes I drove 10 miles away. Open up the back of the truck. There were no blankets. I drove back to the location. Talk to a lady who had just transferred from Hendersonville store and apologize for not having the blankets.
DAVID KOnly negative comment was that I was asked to park and unhook the 6 x 12 trailer myself. That was a heavy lift getting the tongue off my hitch.

Where they were stored until my fiancé could drive 13 hours down to have them delivered to our new address so he could unload them. They were supposed to arrive on 6/12. They never did we were told there was a delay and they would not be there until 6/13 we were promised that they would 100% be there the 13th. I called for an update to the NC traffic dept that handles this and was told again another delay. Mind you I had to keep calling to find out about these delays a nobody was communicating this to me ahead of time. I spoke to many people call center agents, traffic/scheduling manager, warehouse manager, U-Haul in Myrtle beach employees. Everyone was on a different page and nobody seemed to be able to tell me what was going on at all! Apparently there was one truck that was being used down in Myrtle Beach and it was broken down. If you know that your truck is broken down and you don’t know for sure if it is going to be fixed why are you promising customers deliveries several different times on several different days when you cannot actually promise that? Do you not have a back up plan when this kind of thing happens?? Being such a big corporation you should have a backup plan!!! Absolutely uncalled for no excuse. You inconvenienced people, who had to drive 13 hours out of state, miss work, almost miss Father’s Day with their children. My fiancé had to have his mother come down with him, and also his sister to help him move things who also had to miss work and he had to pay her for missing work. Had to pay extra hotels each night when this was delayed last minute. Get your shit together U-Haul. I will be seeking a refund for all of the nonsense that we just had to go through. So unprofessional I can’t even begin to tell you how irritated I am considering that this process costed well over $5000. You sure took our money, but you couldn’t follow through with any answers. I will be contacting your corporate higher-ups and this is going to be a big deal because setting and done my fiancé ended up having to go drive to get a truck which yes you provided it for free, because he could not wait another day for it to be possibly delivered and then probably told again it would be delayed. I’m sure. So he had to go and get a truck move all of our things out of six shoe boxes into a 26 foot truck. He then had to take and drive that truck a half hour to where our home is and unload it so he had to move our belongings two times when it should have only been one!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!!!

What should have been a 15 minute process took a half hour because instead of focusing on the task, they just kept having side non business conversations. I was the only one there, had a reservation and it still took 30 minutes. I go to the business down the street that has uhauls and they have me in and out in 10 minutes.
RICHARD PCheck in staff was excellent in helping me sign in. Other on property help was very friendly in showing me exactly where my unit was and how to get in and out of the drive in section to unload.
glenn s | First ImpressionsI rented a motorcycle trailer, which only had 10 inch wheels. The wheels need to be 14 inches. The 10 inch wheels caused a lot of bouncing and caused the Motorcycle to shift andscratched up the saddle bag on my motorcycle. 10 inch wheels are too small for trailers.

I drove to the location I was told it was at and they looked up my reservation and told me it was at the first location. I drove back to the first location and the trailer was there and I was able to pick it up . Why was there a need for me to waste my time going to another location just to be told I was at the right place to begin with . Also 3hrs into a 12hr drive we noticed the tags were expired on the trailer

I was told when I placed the order that they would arrive in Little River South Carolina on April 29th. Instead they where shipped to Myrtle Beach South Carolina and arrived on May 3rd. I called the number provided to set up the delivery to my home and was transferred 5 time to 5 different states. It took me 4 days till I finally got someone on the phone that could set up the delivery to my home. First I was told that delivery to my home wasn't available an I would have to pick it up myself or hire movers, After alot of arguing it was now going to be delivered to my home but I would have to pay more money to have it delivered, finally on the 9th of May. This was the worst experience ever and will NEVER recommend or use U-Haul again.

The employee that was there called the manager (at 10:00) and was told he was on his way. On his arrival, at 11:15 ! His excuse was that he had a busy morning. As if I had nothing else to do today. His 2 other associates were very nice and accommodating. My only comment to him was (you don’t check your appointments for the next day before you leave).

JOSHUA AMy only complaint is that they could not install my hitch, because of rusted bolts they couldn't remove, not because lack of trying, just not the right equipment to handle that situation, the staff was amazing and very apologetic and I understand my vehicle is 15 years old and from New England. But over all was a good experience. Maybe invest in a stronger impact gun, just a suggestion.

BRETT AMy delivery was set for Thursday, April 3 between 9 AM and 11 AM at 12 PM. The container still haven’t arrived. I called U-Haul and the person said oh they didn’t call you. We don’t have anybody to deliver. They called out. We’re still working on trying to get this delivered. I told them I had movers coming. They said a supervisor will call me back a supervisor never called me back so I called again and they gave me several excuses why my delivery never showed up so they tell me I’m on the schedule for Friday between 8 AM and 10 AM and I’m the first person on the schedule. My containers did not arrive until 12 o’clock. The girl that delivered them to me was great however she did say that she didn’t get the call until 10 AM that there was a delivery and she lives pretty far. However, no one seemed to care that I had to take you another day off work so that’s two days of pay. I’ve lost movers that I had to pay twice for because the containers never showed up. I spent over $3300 in Illinois to have my stuff packed up and sent to South Carolina then another $2000 keeping my stuff in storage for when I bought the house and was ready to move and then my stuff doesn’t show up. This is completely unacceptable. I currently do have a storage unit. I am paying for which I feel. I’m about to pull all my stuff out of there and take it to another company and give them my money. I could honestly say at this point, I would not recommend U-Haul to anybody I care about this should happen to no one ever!

sergio sVery disappointed! I made a reservation in the beginning of march, and found the location was closed with a sign stating the office had moved. When i went to that location, i was initially told one wasn't available. Fortunately, one was on the lot, but not checked in... it took several attempts and 30 minutes to figure out the computer, delaying my departure.
ALAN CArrived at the rental location promptly at 7 am to retrieve rental. I had completed all rental tasks online prior to my arrival to expedite the pickup process as I had a tight timeline the rest of the day. However, the agent on duty had no clue how to pull up my reservation and started creating an entirely new reservation. Even after showing her my rental confirmation information, she was unable to complete the steps to to check out the trailer. She called a supervisor, who was able to walk her through the process and was finally able to complete the process. As I was making the payment, I realized the price was higher than it should be. I asked her about it, but she didn't have a clue. She instructed me to ignore it and the price would correct itself later. I was uncomfortable with her answer, but since I was in a hurry I signed anyway. I knew it was not wise to do so, but I had her assurance it would be taken care of. Found out after I returned the trailer that it was charged the safe tow coverage at a cost of $8 that I had not authorized. So much for the system correcting itself. I then went to get the trailer connected to my truck and was surprised I had to connect it myself. I knew I was very qualified to perform this task, but it is the first time ever that I had to connect the trailer myself at a U-Haul location. She said she was not capable to do so and I would have to wait until much later in the morning to have someone do it for me. Not having the time to waste, I professionally hitched the trailer to the tow vehicle and was on my way. The whole process took 45 minutes and I was the only customer at this location. I was surprised the individual lacked the necessary skills/qualifications to perform required tasks when it was known a trailer was going out that morning. A manager did contact me and was apologetic, but kept coming up with a lot of excuses trying to justify the poor performance. This should have been an opportunity for him to understand his shortfalls and be happy I brought them to his attention. I didn't need to hear about how combining two locations has been causing problems. I experienced the growing pains...he assured me things would be different when I come back and provided his contact information.

ASHLEY MI did the drop-off through the APP, so no help was needed, although when I was leaving after all was complete, someone came out and thanked for assisting myself. I left the light attachment on the ground, it would of been nice to have been notified that they had it.
