Rented a 5x8 trailer from North Minot ND location. Chase was beyond professional and helpful. He installed a light assembly for me on a random stop in when be certainly didn't have to. Then installed a anti ball rattle assembly in the same way. Give this GM a raise! And he's also crazy knowledgeable. He made me at ease with towing a trailer from Minot ND to Boise, ID. 5 stars.

Get jack on trailer tongue. It was all myself and the young girl could do to lift the trailer off the tow vehicle. Should NOT be expecting people to injure themselves lifting these large trailers.

Nothing needs to be improved, Nikke Besemann did a wonderful job taking care of me when I came in to reserve my U-Haul. She went above and beyond taking care of me when I came in to pick up my reservation. Nikke was super friendly and very nice to converse with while I was in picking up my reservation.

Locations were great, the trailer itself could use improvements, heavier D rings in the floor for tieing down and better wiring in the lites they blew a fuse in my pickup half way through the trip so had no parking lites on trailer.

This was literally the worst experience I have ever had with any sort of company. First off I had scheduled a pick up for a trailer on a Sunday. I showed up at the scheduled appointment time, went in and met with the employee, he brought me out to the trailer, and I tried to hook it up to the hitch on the pick up, and the safety chains would not go through the hooks. It’s illegal to drive a trailer without safety chains, so we went back in and returned the trailer. Even though the manager said, she knew a way to hook it up, my father has been a heavy equipment operator and a mechanic for his entire life, and he knew she was going to hook it up illegally, there’s no way the hooks would ever go on his hitch. I then asked the manager if I could rent a different trailer, since they were sitting on the lot. They also had three different 10 foot trucks, I asked her if I could just rent one of those. She told me that no, all of those were for in town moves only. So I went home, and called U-Haul directly, I was told by that representative that there were 10 foot trucks available, so I made the reservation, drove back over there to get the truck. The same employee was there again, he gave us the keys to a truck and we went out to start it and it was frozen and would not start. The windshield washer fluid was exploded out of the container. It only had 1/16 of a tank of gas as well. So we went inside to speak with the employee again, and asked him what we were supposed to do, we asked if we could use some battery cables to jump it, which he told us that was not allowed. So after all of this hassle, the manager finally lets us use the in town truck. We had to drive it 3 1/2 hours away, unload everything, and drive it all the way back to that location. If there were some other option, besides U-Haul, I would take that. Terrible experience

Was originally at a different uhaul location to pick up a cargo van that had been reserved. The cargo van had tire that had a low air pressure that the other location was not able to fix so the order had to be cancelled. Came to the current location that I rented the cargo van from and the first van they gave to me also had a low tire pressure signal pop up on the dashboard. I ended up wasting about an hour and a half getting a cargo van due to poor vehicle maintenance and had to drive to different locations in order to get a properly running cargo van. The cargo van that I did end up using still had an issue with the right side view mirror tilting upwards the entire time I drove it, and effectively obstructing my view from being able to properly see to the right of the vehicle I rented. I will definitely refrain from using uhaul in the future and caution others from using a uhaul vehicle.

My first time trying to get into building with my code, it kept denying me. So haven't actually seen my storage unit yet. Or put my belongings in it. Some guy was trying to help me and kept asking for my code. So I will have to change my code before actually getting inside. As he was just watching me and telling me do it like this.. I'm like dude I can read.... so yeah. Re do next time I get to minot. No problem God is good!

Everything with check out went well, but when I returned the U-Haul, the guy checking me back in didn’t seem to have a clue what he was doing. I later found a charge from U-Haul for 266 dollars on my 25 dollar rental. When trying to get my money back, it took 12 days to get a return.

Staff there tried to overcharge me. It was bad. Non of them obviously communicate. Ive done a lot of buisness and always paid before on time. For 9 straight months amd once i moved out so i wouldnt have to pay for the next months, cause i was done there, they tried to get money hungry on me. I have 6 buddies i recommended this place to, and 4 of them after what i told them will be done there to. As of next near at the beggining. We will see what they tell them and ill gp from there if i ever reccomend this place again to anyone. The lady nikki was so disrespectful there. Shes so money hungry. I did amazing buisness with them and never ever agsin will i even consider.. place will set u up for failure. I hate this place. The lady nikki just would not except the fact almost that i moved out. Like she didnt want to beleive it. No one there had any kind of good comminication as i told them before u moved out i was moveing out and done there. Then they tried to put it on some jennifer lady i think her name was, that it was her fault and that they got rid of her cause of bad buisness. Idk. Its crazy cause jennifer wasnt even the person i told i was done with uhaul .good luck to anybody dealing with the poor management crew they have there

The website defaulted to a 2 day rental. I rented the trailer and returned it the same day. I was told that there was no discount for early return. That isn’t fair. U-Haul had the ability to re-rent that trailer immediately when I returned it which benefitted them. Customer should get a discount for early return.

I had the worst experience dealing with uhual in minot. I made a reservation online specified pick up needed to be from Minot. I get a call from Fargo to confirm a reservation thinking it was dispatch locations They never said it meant my pick up was in Fargo. I showed up to the minot location with no truck or trailer available. Was able to get a truck a couple hours later. And then had to drive 4 hours for a trailer. There’s a lot more details to this horrible experience but overall I do not recommend. Whoever works on booking reservations needs to improve their whole system because the communication and tracking system is terrible. INot to mention I was told I was getting a discount for the mishap. Which was not true. I got charged over 1900 for just the trailer with insurance of course. Then over 300 for the trailer when I had to go hours away to pick it up. My original quote was 2400 before all the trouble, and still ended up paying that after all the inconvenience uhual cause me. I lost time and saved no money for their mess up. 0/10.

I’d suggest fixing the garage door sensors. The door kept closing on my truck and damaged my endgate while the trailer I was towing was in the facility. No reason the doors should come down when opening is occupied. Hopefully Uhaul will resolve the issue and fix my endgate.

The lady getting the counter asked for a secondary phone number in case they can't get a hold of me. She immediately started dialing without telling me. It was 7:30 a.m. and my daughter was not awake yet. She told me to come back later with a reference. Treating me like I was a criminal. I understand the need to protect assets but at least explain the process and not get shitty about it. She was a heavy woman with short hair and mini facial piercings if that helps identify. I will not be coming back to U-Haul under any circumstances.

Overall this was a good storage location and the staff was friendly. I had prepaid Jan 12th to July 12th. My only drawback was not being able to receive a refund for another month I prepaid the last week of June when I flew back for my sister's internment. I paid an extra month in case my nephew and niece couldn't retrieve their mother's items by 7/12. They notified me on 7/12 the unit was cleaned out and I called the facility to report that and asked for the extra month refund. I was told to call back the following week to make the request which I did. I was told that I couldn't get the extra month back because the unit was closed out. Other than this I thought this was a great storage unit.

I reserved a 26’ one way truck online only to be told the day before I needed it there was not one of these truck available within 300 mile radius. I was also told they never have 26’ one way trucks in Minot ND. If not for the fabulous employee Jennifer who helped me out I would not have had a truck to move my life to another town.

Justin was amazing in helping me get started with finding the right size storage unit and going through the process of getting a unit. He was very courteous and knowledge, as well as being amazing to talk to from the standpoint of a friendly customer. After setting up our storage solution, we attempted to access it to see what the process was like and encountered an issue with getting in. He was extremely knowledgeable about helpful with solving our issue and getting us in.

Although management at this facility holds a grudge against me for having a late return of a U-Haul and therefore, I don’t believe I could approach either of them if I were to have any sort of concerns or issues; I still do believe this facility is kept up with quite well. Before, I would ever need to inquire about another unit or issue, etc. i’m not entirely confident in maintaining at this facility due to the struggle to communicate with management. I rent a lot of U- Hauls, like renting a truck almost every week, a lot. At that frequency, eventually, things can happen causing a late return. I now visit another facility when renting trucks, as this location pretty much told me to go pi** up a rope the last time I tried renting a truck. That’s not quote for quote but in summary. Otherwise, I don’t feel this location could be kept up any better. Floors are clean and nothing noticeable that’s left in need of repair. Parking lot is easy to maneuver around in. No complaints.

This location is top notch. Plenty of clean, well-lit space both for parking outside and inside storage. My favorite perk of this location is the secure loading bay - unload your goods behind a closed overhead door, very cool. Tonya was super helpful and a pleasure to do business with. The staff was rude, and probably the worst experience ive ever had, to pay 10$ for a “free lock” , and the storage unit was smaller than the one i reserved, when i went to return the truck the employees were nowhere to be found waited 5minutes and they were outside talking and smokeing cigs. Wouldnt answer. Any questions was told that “everything can be done online or thru the app”. So my phone happened to be dead, was exhausted from moveing myself with a toddler long distance and to get treated so poor by management i didnt even want a storage thru them or ever deal with them again

Price for outdoor RV storage and indoor climate storage is in no way competitive to all other facilities in Minot. After having our rates almost doubled and then shopping around this U-Haul facility is almost double every other facilities monthly rate and the other facilities offer way more features for 1/2 the monthly rate examples include gated security access, 24x7 access, 24x7 monitored security, RV insurance etc

I picked up my one-way in Illinois to move to Minot. The experience in Minot was fantastic (I cannot say the same for Illinois. Tonya and her staff are professional, kind and helpful. I will not shop around if I need to rent storage or a vehicle again. Coming right to Tonya and her staff.

Well maintained facility and the cart where very convenient for moving things in and out of storage unit. The only thing that was kinda annoying was uneven entrance when going in and out with carts this would sometimes cause things to fall off of the carts.

From the vary beginning we were told that at some point we would have to move our trailer to another parking space to allow lines to be painted on the pavement. All well and good. The only down side was that U-Haul repositioned the assigned parking spaces to “back in” spaces rather than the original “drive through” spaces! It is much easier to drop off your trailer in a drive through. Other than the slight disappointment the customer service is great, easy payments and personally contacted via text or phone with any updates.

The supervisor Ms. Tonya Holbrook is the best supervisor I have ever met in terms of customer service and professionalism. She is a great asset to UHAUL and should be acknowledged and compensated accordingly. The assistant Ms. Jennifer Adcot is also equally very knowledgeable and customer service oriented. She could equally run the place which makes the chemistry between her and Ms. Holbrook great and very beneficiual to the customer. UHAUL is also very lucky to have her as an employee and should let her know the great job she is doing and acknowledged and compensated accordingly. This UHAUL facility should be used as a model for others countrywide. These folks are great and should be acknoledged appropriately. For their sake, I will continue to patronize UHAUL. I want to especially commend the Manager Mrs. Tonya Holbrook for her impeccable no-good-second customer service. She goes beyond expectations to understand and service the customer to ensure complete satisfaction. She listens, understands customers’ needs and problems and come up with amicable best possible solution. She is a human first and puts herself in the customer's shoes and walks in the customer's shoes to ensure customer complete satisfaction. I have used U-Haul for many years even before the internet age and I have never met anyone or great individual like Mrs. Holbrook. She is caring, calm under pressure, extremely knowledgeable in what she does and above all always there for the customer regardless of time of the day and/or circumstances. She came to my rescue though off for the day at night and could have been spending time with family. When I had a problem, rather than make me wait till morning and at office hours, gladly reached out to help at that very odd hour in the morning that nobody else could have done. Mrs. Holbrook is an asset for U-Haul and U-Haul is lucky to have her as an employee and manager. With her skillsets and knowledge, Mrs. Holbrook is more than qualified to hold any higher position in U-Haul and continue doing fantastic caring job. Please help me congratulate Mrs. Holbrook for job well-done day-in-day-out and acknowledge and compensate her appropriately please. She is a keeper especially in these days where great employees are basically not commonplace or non-existent. She also works well with her crew who in-turn also work very hard to service customers well. Everything was great until we went back at 7:50pm to try to put more things in our unit and we couldn’t get in.

I had trouble getting hold of someone via phone after receiving a text to call them regarding my unit. Other than that, it was a very good experience.
