It was also shifting gears like it needed a better transmission. I have had better U-Haul experiences this was my least favorite.
SHATRIYA SPickup and Return were easy and efficient. The manager acknowledged and respected my 30 yrs of military service with a discount. I’ll be back to rent from this place again.
KEVIN HWell they tried to charge me $10 extra for a 1/10th of a gallon short gas. I had pictures from before and after and the employee refused to believe and said it's corporate policy! What a horrible experience!

JUAN MA "REAL" Uhaul location! Very customer oriented.
Jack SThey required me to drive in reverse which made me uncomfortable. I should have been permitted to drive forward as close as possible and they take the trailer the few feet to their desired location. There were two U-Haul representatives to assist but it appeared both wanted to do as little as possible. The movement occurred on U-Haul property and to the location stated on sign. They then redirected me to another location and requested to drive the entire distance in reverse.
ANGEL GTruck was ready but key was not in the correct box, but employees were friendly and helpful! The blonde girl moving/checking in trucks was especially helpful as she went out of her way to bring us the truck bc it was parked at the end of the lot!

DANIELLE FMixed reviews. When I originally signed up for one U-box I paid IN FULL according to the invoice. Unless it was buried in small print in the myriad of emails and texts I received, I was not told until the morning of drop-off that there was an extra charge of over $100. Of course, I had no choice...you had my possessions in your possession. I received a text around 7:30am that the delivery driver was "on the way". She arrived over an hour later. Would it not be more customer friendly to provide an ETA instead of 'On the way?' Seems like a simple thing. The pickup driver herself was friendly enough once she got here.

TINA MElizabeth was extremely patient with me when I first showed up at 8am. My coffee wasn't coffee-ing just yet, but she helped guide me along through how the U-Haul process worked. This was my first rental ever, and I have to say, it beats the multi-trip car hauls of the past. With the overall friendliness of the staff, my fiancee and I are looking forward to renting from U-Haul again next time we find ourselves in need of hauling anything!

Chad L | First ImpressionsTruck keys assigned to me were not where the check out person thought they should be so a different truck was assigned. No big deal other than some additional minor computer issues. Started the check over process prior to leaving. The gas gauge was less than the Full mark and I tried to make a note of it but the check in system would not allow it. Should be apparent in the check in photo. After filling during the trip, probably 60 miles worth of gas was not in the tank when I pulled off the lot. Not a huge deal, just think Uhaul would make sure trucks leaving the shop had actual full tanks of gas if I'm expected to leave it with a full tank. Would have gone back in and said something, but wasn't sure what the gauge normally looks like until I filled it completely later. Other than that, great truck and did the job. The drop off site in Nashville, on the other hand, was ridiculous. Mostly a pot shop that does a little Uhaul on the side. Not sure how Uhaul would think that set up was okay, let alone professional (cause it wasn't).
GARY VExcellent service from beginning to end. Female drivers to deliver and pick up the U-Haul boxes were simply terrific, Stanna in Springfield, IL area and Madison in Grand Junction, CO area. 5 stars all the way
Pam SWell everything was good until the customer service rep told us we only owe $10 my son looked at his account and it was debited for $79 and some change . My thing is I paid $69 prior to the visit . Couldn’t understand why my card was charged the day before for $69. I Called the store I was told me and my son have to work it out among ourselves . And that when someone return the truck they card be debited if that’s the case my card should have never been charged

RICHARD MThe gas mileage was not what was on paper . The truck had 29 miles to empty when I picked it up . I took a picture of it . It was 12 miles to empty when I brought it back . I was told to put 8 gallons of gas in the truck before returning. The ladies showed no professional ethics in executing their duties.They lack customer service training . They just gave me a truck without them seeing the gas level which to me is not fair. Maybe cause am black that’s why they acted that way . This is my first and last time going to uhual.

Winnie L | First ImpressionsIt is very easy to book and get the trailer. But beware of MovingHelp. I booked help for 2 people to unload but they didn't contact me and cancelled my order without notifying me. I was alone and I was able to book BadgerBrothers for next day. Don't use MovingHelp.
OZCAN DI had a really bad experience. I put the location where I wanted to do the drop off. I rented for 12 hours I picked up around 1pm or 2 pm I returned the same day around 11pm in the location that I choose to do the drop off and they charged me $220 for a wrong drop off. When I choose the location, they wanted to charged me $20 dollar fee for a 11 days that I was late for the drop off. I called and went to different locations their answer was there’s nothing we can do about it because it’s been already 2 weeks of this. When the same week I saw they were charging me $95.52 twice on my bank account plus the $47.76 that I was paying for one dolly. Really bad customer service they don’t want to take actions on situations like this. And this is a really bad experience because they wanted me to pay $471.87 for a mistake a didn’t do. They need to upgrade their System for a better customer service everything should be better. It’s easy to just put excuses and excuses to steal the money from customers and it’s really sad how big companies like this be taking money away from people that is having issues on the road because the weather it’s really bad.
EDUARDO Awe weren’t allowed to drop the trailer off at a location closer to where we were located (there was an ice/snow storm) so we had to drive it all the way back to the springfield lcoation

PAUL KWhen we returned the truck, I went inside. The clerk was very unfriendly and pretty much brushed me off. Told me there was a coworker outside attending to the truck. I asked if I would get a a receipt through my email. She nodded. Received this questionnaire and I saw additional charges on my Visa, but I still haven't received it. Work on your communication skills people! It doesn't take much to thank someone and use actual words to answer questions! I'm the reason you have a job.
TIMOTHY WThe rear-view mirrors only showed from the middle of the truck body down. When I backed up to the house it was difficult to tell if I was gonna hit the gutters. Would be nice if the mirrors were taller.

Also, the side mirror was loose and folded back whenever the truck hit a bump in the road.

But Nov 1st I had an auto payment come out for the storage unit. Now, if I didn’t have money in there I would have been charged $30 for overdraft. You all would have gotten paid but I would have paid extra for something I asked you all not to do.

When I notified the front desk worker she said ok we'll check on it and that was all. The truck I checked out from your location leaked into the inside of the storage area on my drive. Everything that I had from the middle of the 26' to the back shelf was wet when I got home to unpack. Some electronics and a mattress were soaked and destroyed. Very unhappy with my uhaul experience to say the least. Need to file a claim! I already filed a claim for finding mice droppings in my storage unit.

(Or broke down $33 every 10 days) I don’t understand how if there is still 1/3 of the month left, I would not be refunded for moving out early. I was told that it was too close to my next billing date. I do feel I should be credited for the portion of the month that I paid for but did not use.

Then three weeks after moving in, they locked out my unit and said I moved out without telling them, even though my locks were still on the units. They blamed it on a system glitch, but had to manually put those extra locks in my units. Wouldn’t you call someone before doing that?? No one tea co ed out to me at all, and it was pure luck that we discovered it during business hours, as we were preparing to unload a truck. The high school kids they have running this place could really use some customer service and common sense training.

Employee had an attitude with me because of problems the store had like no cash in the drawer, and the pinpad not working properly when I swiped my card. I was never asked if I had a preference on where I wanted my storage and was just placed into one that was most convient for her to get me out the fastest. Ended up on the 2nd floor where I had to manage my couch and bed through a narrow hallway. I'm pretty sure she was just having a bad day but no reason to act the way in customer service.

After moving a few things into the unit on day one, I came back on day 2 and there was a red lock with a note saying come to the office for non payment. My unit was free for the first month, so that was a little surprising. The office got it figured out but what I did on line was not showing up in the local computer system.
