The brakes on the truck went to the floor and truck barely made it over 55 I felt very unsafe yes it was clean and location was perfect but truck was not good felt unsafe won’t use U-Haul again

The hydraulic brake feature on the trailer was missing a backup cutout switch. This means when I tried to back the loaded trailer up a small incline the wheels locked and the trailer would not budge. This is a safety issue and needs to be addressed

Asked prior to rental if height would be sufficient to transport a 70” fridge. Was reassured that would be fine. There is not enough clearance to transport a standard apartment fridge and had to lay the fridge down.

Experienced tire blow out. Called for assistance. The first two contact numbers were not correct. The third number was able to assist and was assisted by a towing company that replaced the tire within one hour.

Booking this was not a pleasant experience as the initial booking was for the wrong drop off date and it also shifted locations. When I got the confirmation and called because of the wrong day the person at the location would not fix the drop off date as they said it was unavailable. they gave me a different number and this person was able to change the drop off date correctly at the location I called where they said it was unavailable. Reserving a trailer really needs to be cleaned up and more attention to details on the initial reservation.

I will be recommending Home Depot truck rentals to everyone that I know and warn them about U-Haul I went a few exists on the highway noticed I used almost a full tank brought the truck right back with the same amount of gas originally and still got charged $50 to do so .

I ordered and reserved truck in Taunton and uhaul sent me to Swansea to pick it up. Uhaul should have made sure the truck was at its original reservation point instead of making customer drive to go get it…and uhaul notified me the day before my pick up date The guy in Swansea should be fired. A miserable man offering miserable customer service. Period

My reservation was initially for another location. Church St New Bedford. This is the second time I’ve reserved a trailer and has not been available upon pickup. Frustrating that the items I reserved are not present when I reserve them. Inconvenient.

I am VERY dissatisfied with the process of the return in Swansea, MA. We arrived 10 minutes before the required drop off time. Needed to wait as there was only 1 staff. He then went to help other customers and said he’d email a receipt. He emailed the receipt with a drop off time over half an hour after we arrived for the return. Because of this I am being charged a full extra day AND insurance. I’ve tried contesting the charges and need to wait up to 72 hours for a response. I’m extremely dissatisfied with the drop off process and that the costs were already taken from my card without explanation. This is unacceptable. If the drop off location doesn’t have enough staff to attend to customers the customer should not be charged because they had to wait, AND until the staff had a moment to go into a computer to log the return after assisting other customers. Nor should this occur without explanation to the customer and a signature. I’m also quite upset that I have to wait 72 hours for resolution. I called within an hour and a half of the return. It’s frustrating to have an experience like this at drop off especially since the rest of the experience was positive

This place was great. First time at a U-Haul and the paperwork was quick, all my questions were answered immediately, and I picked up and went less than 10 minutes after getting there. Return was just as easy. Guy was already outside, asked me some quick easy questions, and I was in my own car within 2 minutes, knowing the receipt would be emailed to me.

There is a water leak in unit #98. I didn't realize this until too late. I came after a storm and found a table I had in there wet and the floor was wet. Some papers and books were warped. Also, I always get an email telling me to correct my address. Even tho I've gone to the facility 3 times to have it changed and even called customer service. No one cared enough to actually change it. (That's just frustrating more than anything. The water is the main problem.)

I rent to the five by eight I needed a larger unit. They would not refund me anything, as I already paid for both units. Stated because I didn't online I'm not eligible for a refund. Not even a portion. This is terrible service. I have been there may be a week.

Every six months you raise the prices!! When I went to cancel the rental there was no worker on the property. Door was open, no one was there. When he finally showed up he was rude. The prior employees/manager were wonderful

The condition of both units I rent is terrible, especially for the price. For the most recent unit there is a large gap in the siding that exposes the unit to the elements. The door is bent and difficult to operate and lock. The other unit I rent is also falling apart and it smells like rodent.

I spent $72 in buckets of DryAir over the 5 months. It's an outdoor facility, so "clean" is relevant to the circumstances. Also depends on how long you plan to stay. Mine went longer than expected. For $20 more, moved to a climate controlled facility for the long term.

The unit I chose with the 1 (800) was too small and I had no idea it was only 2 floors which meant we’d be moving thing by climbing a flight of stairs. Every storage unit I’ve used always had more than just 2 floors so not knowing til I showed up was kind of disappointing but the men were very sweet and understanding and very accommodating. I had a bad experience with being rented a UBox when I requested a storage space. I was told it would remain on site so it wasn’t a big deal until the manager up and moved the Ubox to another town, my computer and musical equipment was unsecured and bounced and slammed around, damaging my PC monitor. They did work with me to get a storage space, brought my stuff back. Moves are stressful enough this was just a nightmare experience that could have been avoided if not for a stubborn decision from the manager to move a rented UBox without my consent!

Excellent experience. Staff is great, everything superb well lit, clean, well maintained, bathroom exemplary. ---except for that entrance card reader. The thing is unreliable. It sometimes takes scores of swipes to get in. I see other people struggling with it too. Really should be replaced/repaired or upgraded.

When I arrived at the facility I had gone into the office with a quick question and I saw the Uhaul employee having a disagreement with a customer. The customer was extremely rude and refused to have an understanding conversation. I just wanted to state that this employee kept calm the entire time. He was polite and rational the whole time, even when the customer was getting pretty loud with him. I was very impressed with how he handled the situation and I’m glad I witnessed it so that I could give this feedback. I did not get the employees name but he was fantastic and deserves the highest praise.

It was ridiculously easy. Too easy in fact. Make it a challenge! Just kidding. I would like to say the person at the front desk was very helpful at the Uhaul I went to. He even walked with me to show me my storage unit and gave me the lay of the land. Made everything clear on where I should bring my car around too without me having to ask. Felt like he put himself in my shoes and knew what questions I would have before I could ask them. I liked that a lot. Definitely will be my place to store stuff in the future. I just regret not remembering his name. Thanks again!

I had a customer representative that was fairly grumpy and I felt more like an inconvenience rather than a customer. He did help overall but it was met with initial resistance. I wanted to drop off my UHaul at the Swansea location instead of the Twiggs location after I had just emptied my truck into my storage container and he told me I should adhere to my original reservation. I called Twiggs in Warren, RI and she was lovely and said it shouldn't be a problem to drop off my Uhaul at that Uhaul location. She initiated the change in reservation that allowed me to drop off my Uhaul. She was very helpful! He did overall help and take a truck but I felt as though I was inconveniencing him. He also wore his mask around his neck the whole time.
