I was referred to a mobile app. If i hadn’t reserved the truck prior to coming to the location and just walked in, i would have received a human to assist me. When i was having trouble while standing in the store, i was referred to a customer service number. When i tried to use the app, i was kicked out of the app and then had to beg for human customer service. What should have taken ten minutes, took thirty five minutes. This experience was terrible at best.

Lori JI have used U-HAUL Swedesboro several times over the years and have always been constantly and consistently with their kindness, professionalism, helpfulness, and patience. I have recommended them and those to whom I have recommended them have always had the same impression and experience.This was a more difficult time for me to need and use UHaul and storage and it could not have been a more pleasant situation. From the manager on down the employees of Swedesboro U-HAUL are a great asset to the company and should be commended for their representation and commitment to the ideals of U-HAUL. They, especially the manager, go over, above and out of their way,to serve their customers.

Susan PThought not all issues were challenging and not every customer service rep was unprofessional it was a 50/50 experience hence the below avgerage grade, and from my (a customer's) perspective there really should not have been any, and to be honest to much to go into on a review. One person actually hung up on me and then lied about when I confronted the reason for her action in person at the U-Haul facility. Too many calls transferred to other departments when trying to get container picked-up Personally I think it's poor mgmt within the office (Swedesboro NJ) that I used for the rental process which I WILL NEVER USE AGAIN.

THOMAS Mone of the customer service at scheduling department was very rude and mean , and she does want to help- her name is Michele- Also the guy who came to pick up the empty boxes after everything was done, in Ruskin FL , he was not professional and he made scratches on our drive way .. he does not want to speak to us, and he was yelling at us. all other people who we dealt with were great ,

Jacqueline H | Online Move InThe cab was clean, but the radio would randomly shut off while I was driving and I could not figure out how to change the radio to the FM stations. Hire more customer service people. When I returned the truck, there was no one at the desk to help me and I waited about five minutes or more before DeJuan walked in from the back and then proceeded to talk to someone on the phone while he was inspecting my rental truck. Multi-tasking is not good customer service. I also mentioned to DeJuan the fuel gauge needle seemed to move from the full tank line to about a quarter inch less while only driving a few blocks to Pedricktown Rd. But DeJuan said since I did not take a picture of the fuel needle showing less than a full tank to prove my comment, he could not offer a credit on my invoice. I told him I notice this while I was driving and I did not want to use my phone to take a picture. I had my associate make the online reservation and she said she does not remember reading about the cost per mile charge. I think charging $1.75 per mile is very expensive, but I guess you attract more people to rent your equipment by advertising only $19.99 per day. Is this type of advertising legal? Finally, when I was reviewing my contract for the truck rental, there was some verbiage on the form for a donation to conservation such as planting trees or other ways to help the planet. However, when I asked DeJuan if U-Haul was partnering with a specific conservation group, he said the donation would go towards U-Haul Corporate internally (I do not remember his exact words). Not sure what he was trying to explain to me who would benefits from the donation, but I think this could be called “Green Washing”
DOMENIC LOver and beyond I want to say a special thank you to Dejuan Hayward -Sloan, General Manager. I was in a bit of a bind while checking out of my storage unit. I didn’t realize that the wide door locks after business hours. My furniture was too big to get through the smaller door so I called the general name from the poster on the door. I called Mr. Sloan and explained my situation and he came after closing and raining to open the door so that we could make it back to Michigan that day. He was truly our Superman by going over and beyond the call of duty. Excellent customer service and would definitely refer my friends and family. Again Thank you!!

Catherina FWhen purchasing my unit I was told it was 24 hour access. However when I got there the code given to me did not work and the sign on the door said 10pm was the cutoff time. I had to throw over $1,000 worth of items into y’all trash bin because I could get in to store my stuff and needed to turn in my uhaul. I was also informed later on that because I had a one way rental that I was suppose to get the first month free for my unit which I was charged for and waiting for my refund

My issue was that I requested a location that was close to where I was picking up furniture and the day of my request I was informed that the truck was going to be further away than I requested. I also requested a hand truck with straps, but they also did not have that. It was very frustrating that I had to re-plan a lot of the pieces because of both of those. I was thankful for the truck, but I hope that there is more notice about the changing of the pick-up/drop-off location. Getting notified the DAY OF was very inconvenient.

I had to make movement to have the lights on again. Just an annoyance to have to stop what I was doing to go into the hallway and trigger the lights again. Other than that I thought it was a very good facility.

Wayne J | Overall ExperienceMy only issue, and this is minor, is that the motion-sensing lights would sometimes go off while I was still in the locker rearranging things, and I'd have to walk back out and down the hall to reactivate them. It wasn't so dark I couldn't function, but it would have been nice if the lights had stayed on a bit longer. I probably stayed in the locker shuffling stuff longer than the average customer and for an average user the timing would be fine, but that's my only minor quibble. I'd go back again if I needed a storage locker.
