STARKEISHA CThis was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had working with a company. I will never work with U-Haul again. The girl that answers the phone (stephanie) needs customer service training or just fire her. I’d call with an issue and she would hang up on me, I’d call back and she would just hang up. Awful experience.

Caroline SExperience was beyond horrible. Ubox was hauled off without any mention of me needing a lock until a hour later . I paid for no problem of course. My box shipped sooner then the estimate and I did not receive the key . I ended up needing to get a locksmith upon arrival to enter the Ubox ( I was reimbursed.) However, My desk was broken , which I needed working from home. The $65 insurance I paid for was useless due to “ improper packing” . I also used moving help which is through uhaul . Movers packed my ubox so Im not sure how I am held responsible for that . So now I am out of a desk and have to locate one similar. Customer service was good but overall a stressful experience to say the least.

Amanda MCharged for gas after bringing back vehicle with more gas than was provided at rental, associate didn’t speak to me about any kind of pre inspection that was necessary to monitor gas. Vehicle had 1/8th of a tank of gas upon my departure and had slightly more than that upon me dropping the vehicle off. I was charged an extra $100 to my bank account due to gas charges and some overages on mileage. Any mileage owed is fine but there was no reason for any extra gas charges. Associate then started an argument with me about said gas charges stating that I had brought back less than what was provided. This is false. I will make sure to never use this service again.

Ruby FI had a 9 am appointment to pick up the truck. The place didn't open until 9:16 am setting me back for my other appointment. The ruck ran horribly. I felt like the truck was going to cut off at every red light.
ARMANDO LTruck broke down, check engine light on, stalled at lights, exhaust fumes in cab, broken and leaking exhaust. Overcharged me on the receipt for stuff that i initially paid extra for.

rosalyn wThey didn’t want to give me the trailer and the young lady did not hook the trailer to my vehicle properly when I went to drop it off in the Waterbury,CT location they told me it was not hooked up right and it could have came off very dangerous and I drove from FL to CT with that trailer on the back of my car that was not hooked up correctly.
ISRAE'A CPoor customer service. The male associate guaranteed me that I could rent a trailer hitch for a job after I asked him to make sure that I could. After he hooked it up he wouldn’t let me leave because the blinker wasn’t working on the hitch. He said it was something wrong with my truck spark plugs , which was a lie, I took it to my mechanic today and was advised that they’re perfectly fine. I ended up renting a box truck which ended up costing me $400 as opposed to the $30 I would have spent on just the trailer so I ended up losing money. The girl had called me 5 times me a before 8AM the next day about the truck as if I was renting a damn Mercedes and had a bad attitude when I arrived. Very poor experience for me all around.

BEATRIZ GI was very pleased with all aspects of the moving process using Uboxes. The staff on both ends of the move were polite, professional, and responsive. The boxes were picked up and delivered on time and placed in the correct locations. There was no damage to the contents, even after an 1800+ mile trip. I used Uboxes on a previous move (which went well) and the experience this time was even better!
James WI know the truck was in transit during Tropical Storm Debby, so it arrived a little late and there was water on the floor of the box, so two of my dressers had bubbled/water damage :(
victoria fThere was an equipment issue with the truck lift so Ubox arrived 2 hours late. Also, there were only 3 furniture pads and ubox had some trash from former user.

PRABHAKARARAO PAppreciate how patient, helpful, and kind everybody was. Especially, at the Boston location where I had to collect my belongings from the pod. It was hot, it was busy, it was crowded but everybody at UHaul appeared to be in a genuinely good mood. Thank you for being so awesome.
Kaveh GThe Velcro closings were difficult to use. The latches on the wooden boxes were out of alignment and very difficult to close. A previous rental was one of the fiberglass boxes and it seemed to be much better constructed.

philip aThe website and App are not user friendly. I was never able to access on line the quotes that were given to me over the phone. Until my final statement came, I was unable to access the state of my account showing payments made along the way. I found this to be unnerving. Otherwise, your service was fantastic. The container was clean and all goods arrived in good shape. The unloading movers you found for me were spectacular. (Up N At It Movers out of Fort Collins , CO). When I clicked on your texted link to review them I was not able to find a place to enter that review and I would still love to do that.
penny dOverall the staff was great especially the Lady drivers who delivered the Uboxes now and in the past all were GREAT people. My Ubox was late after waiting 2 hours it showed up a half hour later after I saw the driver drive past my storage unit Cube Smart in West Palm Beach she went to the apt complex next door. I don't know if she was giving the wrong address. I do know I looked at my billing and receipt and it had the correct address for delivery but did not have CUBE SMART on it which I had indicated to put on the delivery. The box also showed up with 2 weird hinges added on the box to hold it shut I requested Tampa to look at the lock because I had to drill it back on because it was coming off and requested them to replace it if needed changed instead they added the 2 hinges that had an almost like allen screw that was not because I have a universal metric with many sizes and it did not fit. So I had a drill and spent over a half hour getting them off stripping the drill bit and using an adjustable small wrench to get them off out in the heat with Tamika who was very kind and was trying to help but was told about the hinges or had the proper tools to help me. I should not be put in this situation as your customer, thank goodness I am a handywoman with lots of tools. But it seems Uhaul never communicates with each other as a team and with the customer. I know, I have experienced this many times using you in the past and it continues. Considering you doubled your rates for 1 box and I paid 1 year before $832 for my boxes to be delivered to Tampa this is NOT a GREAT Sign. In addition, you should advise your customers when renting a Ubox that you cannot drop them in most storage rentals, even your affiliates but you can park a truck go figure and they usually double the size, it took me 2 days and about 50 phone calls to find a place that would take it. I did not want to use your storage scenario because I would not have access to it and would have to call to get it down every time that was a nightmare when I had them before and would call in advance 24 to 48 hrs ahead and when I showed up most of the time would wait for 3 hrs to get it because they forgot to bring them down my boxes and the forklift had ripped off 5 lock several times it was brought down and the actual lock was ripped off and need to be replaced. Then it was delivered in Tampa with 2 forklift holes in one of the Uboxes and I had to wash 100 loads of laundry for 3 weeks because of the horrible smells. So based on my experience, I will have to avoid using the Uboxes again.
kimmie sThis was one of the best experiences I have ever had with a company. The people were super friendly, helpful and delivered my box significantly early (which was a good thing.). Especially Stacy- she did a fantastic job and helped make some very last-minute calendar adjustments to accommodate the movers timing which was completely out of mine or her hands. Stacy in Tampa gets the employee of the month award. I appreciated her exceptional customer service and would HIGHLY recommend U-Haul to anyone needing to move important items across the country.
paulus jYour customer service is the best I’ve experienced in a long time. I would recommend the U Box to anyone moving. Emails sent at each step and phone calls to provide the updates. The drivers that dropped off and picked up pod were the best and again customer service at its best. Best experience moving I’ve ever had.

After that it got quite messy as I received either no information or incorrect information on where the U-box was when it did not arrive on time as promised. I spent a lot of time on the phone and wasted a lot of time, without getting the correct information on where and when the U-box would be delivered.
Steve KMy computer monitor delivered broken, scratches on my desk and one side of my bed. I called for an insurance claim but were told there was nothing they could do if there were no visible damage to the container.
Cicely JOur pods were delivered to our new home and they were all wet. The boxes of course were squished down and a lot of stuff was wet and moldy. I cannot believe that after I had reported this several times you still had the nerve to charge for storage. It was a couple days late for them to pick up. I had reported this a couple times and now will contact BBB. WE WILL NEVER USE UHAUL AGAIN. IF you can refund the last storage fee believe me thet would not even cover the things we had to dispose of because of mold.
Lucille EI picked up four U—Boxes from storage, unloaded them and returned the empty boxes to U—Haul on the same day. Over the next three days, I received multiple texts and emails from U—Haul claiming I hadn’t returned their equipment, owed money for storage charges and needed to sign agreements associated with reservations I hadn’t made. Resolving the confusion required multiple, redundant phone calls to U—Haul over a three day period. The only positive experience involved a call with Monique who professionally and competently resolved the matter.

Jennifer BCOMMUNICATION. My container was delayed and I found out it hadn’t shipped the day it was supposed to be here. I called multiple times and no one could tell me where it was or an estimate arrival. I was offered no compensation for it being late. This experience was a joke and so was customer service I will never use Uhaul again.
Delaney Pprovided with too many furniture pads. should have asked us if we want them. We had to go to a uhaul office to return them as we didn't have enough space in the container to carry them.
Abhishek TMy Dining table base was broken. I would leave everything behind except that I liked our dining table and I wanted to keep it. That is why I thought about ubox May be a good option. I was wrong. They have to forcefully close the ubox as it was wooden with its door tilted after delivered. Once it arrived, we found the base of our table broken although it was wrapped. I have asked by uhall on the phone to submit a claim to the insurance company and I did but nothing happen. I don’t think that was a gentle ride as promised.
