RICKY GI returned the trailer a day early. One of the staff members directed me where to place the trailer. I did so. Waited a short time before he came out and asked me to park the trailer in a different spot. Not a problem. After unhooking the trailer, he complemented me about my truck and.told me he appreciated me. Nice gesture, which I took as there was nothing else I needed to do and he would check the trailer in. Wrong assumption on my part. I checked my U-Haul account on the app throughout the day to ensure it was. It still indicated the rental was "Active.". I checked first thing the morning of April 1st. My account still indicated active. I then called the drop-off location and spoke with Scott. He said that he saw my name and would take care of checking the trailer in. I waited a half an hour and checked my account again......nothing changed. I decided to drive to the location to make sure they checked the trailer in. I didn't want to be charged for another day. I get there and I spoke with Scott, and said that he would take care of it. He then went on to say that he was the only one there that early, and he had trucks to fill with fuel and had a couple units broken into and all of the logistics that goes with it. I understood the fact he was the only one at work, but in my experience in customer service, you take care of the person standing in front of you. I didn't need excuses. After he told me again he would take care of it, I got in my truck and as I was getting ready to leave Scott came out with his hand-held computer and asked where I parked the trailer. I told him and I left. When I returned home, I checked the app one last time to see the "Active" indicator had been removed. My suggestion to the staff is training on customer service. And to those using this location, ensure the staff does what they say they're going to do and get a receipt. My mistake was assuming they were going to do what they said they were going to do.

Charles WOverall experience was good. Unfortunately there isn’t a way to rent a truck for “non-smokers”. Me and my spouse had a hard time remaining in the vehicle for the duration of the rental agreement due to horrible cigarette stench. Nothing but headaches and lightheadedness.

GABRIELLE HOK, so where do I start so the hours are not useful because for people that work and trying to move and they’re single doing it by their self it’s hard to get in during hours of operation doors that should be available to us to go into the sliding doors, the glass doors on the side by the bay Are locked and they’re supposed to be 24 hours according to the one 800 number that I talk to also the reservations that I made and paid for online stuff I don’t believe even attempted to look for the reservation so I had to get another room, which I still need a refund back on that room 38 I was given 1613 the prices are different than what the paper said or the online prices cause it said the unit was $54 and with the insurance the tax it should only be 70 something but then they’ve got me paying. I think it’s like $104 a month Parking lot is not in the front but in the back door where I had to go in at at the loading dock several of your lights are out nobody showed me where the room was. I had to find it on my own. Yes, I was given a map, but that doesn’t help clarify anything because there’s not maps inside on the walls to show you which way to go you have to walk around and look for the map there’s one that I found and also when I spoke with customer service today, they said that you all have to refund my money that I paid for 1638 that they couldn’t do it It’s just really weird. The storage unit was dirty.

But the guy who rented me the 6x12 trailer was knowledgeable about the rental, the pricing of it, and location on the lot was able to give clear instructions how to locate it. He acted in a professional manner even went beyond so. Due to my schedule at work I was unable to get there until right at close picking up and dropping off both days he ended up working past close to help me out could ask for better service

TONY JChange the way you charge. It should be less to pay to drop off the equipment rented rather than bringing it back to the pick up facility. When a person is moving, the cost should be a one way price, because that person would not be returning to the original place of the rental.

My initial experience there when I first got there to pick up the truck and to get my storage facility set up was horrible. I ended up having to call the location manager, and she had to send in a couple of other employer employees and even came in herself because the first person that I was dealing with lost her mind. Probably the craziest and worst customer service experience I’ve ever had in 60 years. Thankfully, Kim was able to fix things and make it a good experience in the end.

She is well informed on all things Uhaul. Out of the 3 plus years using Uhaul, I've never had a bad experience with her. One this morning I did receive this text from Lynn about the units. U-Haul: We are having to un combo your units but giving you month for free next billing you will not hae to pay any more we will write of that Thank. I didn't understand it so I had to call and get a better understanding. Lynn didn't know how to explain it to me and but me on hold. When she came back to the phone she still had no clear explanation and was yelling to me through speakerphone. I then waited and got a clear and better understanding from Kim. My overall experience with Uhaul is great because of Kim!

It became cumbersome to enter and exit the facility. You swiped the card to enter (check in) and if you exited with a cart of belongings and the door shut behind you, you had to swipe the card again (in 2 places) to check out and then check back in. It became a big issue while moving out 2 units. If you pressed the intercom button in the card machine, no one responded. Called to terminate my units. Was put on hold for 7 minutes until someone picked up the phone to disconnect the call. Called back a second time, someone put the phone down on a desk and I could hear conversations. Hung up after almost 10 minutes. Very unprofessional!

So I had to find and get my own lock that was good enough to keep my unit secure. I'm not even sure how to get my access card.

Darrell G | Overall ExperienceThe only issue I had was my reserved storage unit was rented out by the automated system, but the staff quickly offered me an acceptable compromise. I did return the truck two days early and found out I couldn't get credit for those two days because it was a one way rental. I am not exactly happy about that, because we rented the truck four extra days due to my disability, but was able to get done early. No mention was made at time of rental or I would definitely have not prepaid but waited to see if I needed it as the move proceeded in real time. U-Haul took advantage of my need of a flexible time frame and has caused me to look at the company less favorably. I do however want to give credit where credit is due.. the equipment is first rate and attention to ease of use is commendable. Facilities and options available for storage are incredible compared to standard self storage across the market. Security well exceeds need and is priced affordably for the average consumer. Overall I am impressed with where U-Haul has gotten to, I am just disappointed with being taken advantage of regarding prepaid days. Sincerely, T. Tyner

The staff is amazing overall especially the lady that comes in the evening around 4:30pm and stays to closing, who’s short and ethnic. She’s so helpful and I just wish I knew her name.

I don't take to kindly for someone trying to charge my card for my 5 kids during covid unauthorized period. I got a promisary note n I got my things out of storage on the exact last day. So this uhaul place in Lexington nc better stop playing with me and they disrespected my mother when she was inquiring about my debt a woman of christ a cancer survivor and a lupus patient. Stope charging my card period
Shykera C | Overall ExperienceMy unit was in temperature controlled area. Area was comfortably cool, with good lighting, and I felt safe. New lock was waiting in unit for my use. Carts were readily available for loading and unloading. Loading dock area had ample space for parking and height of dock was good for moving boxes from rear of SUV to cart.

Moved long distance, I was advised that a 15ft truck would be big enough for a 2 bedroom house, wow were they wrong, I had to give up 10 pieces of furniture. And was advised that a 10 by 10 storage unit would be big enough for storage, also not so. Had to get another unit. Do the math, you can not put 15feet truck into a 10 ft garage. I am very disappointed and unsatisfied with this and had a very bad experience. I never use u haul or I will not recommend u haul to anyone. I believe that I should be compensated for this, the loose of furniture and money.

Only complain I have is I rented at Uhaul about two months ago and then received notice that my rent was going up. I understand that the manager has no control over rental prices going up but when you are on a fixed income like me you have to go to some place cheaper.

It’s just a keypad, but truth be told electronics intimidate and confuse me a bit. I’ve had to go to the manager a couple times for my own mistakes with the door lock.
