BRYAN AOverall was good. They had issues with the car hauler but were quick to let me know when another arrived. I would like to make a suggestion to employees while you’re waiting to be helped. Don’t be a JERK to fellow employees when helping customers. Really didn’t appreciate the way one of your employees was talking to the other gentleman that was helping me. Do that CRAP when I’m gone.

She obviously did not want to rent to us for some reason not sure if she was thinking because I’m female I would be incompetent like her. Or because my kids were not white or honestly I don’t know what her issue was maybe just a bad day. But to be treated as though I am an idiot is unexceptable . And don’t appreciate someone who is uneducated to put themselves on a pedestal. I’m not dumb nor poor so no issues should have been had. I give her and the facility in Glasgow -10. 1515 grand I would give an 8!

Gail N | Overall ExperienceI had to find the truck myself. I had to get a scraper to even get the ice off. I had a process for $50 and didn’t know I was going to pay over 70$. It was for less than a 4 hr rent. I will not go to that location again. Customer service is terrible if the location knows where exactly what tim I will arrive and th truck is not ready and I warmed up after a snow storm. I had to go quite a ways to get my scraper and find the truck. I had to use the keys to find it. Train your people for a better experience. The location at 22nd and Grand are much better and have been using them for many years

He won't rush the process when working with a new client setting up her first storage unit, which I witnessed while waiting to complete my drop-off. Took care of her, as he should, before moving onto me. Relaxing experience! TC

JASON KThe garage doors don't work consistently. Sometimes the sensors aren't working or even the manual buttons don't work. Otherwise, I had no other issues renting from this facility.

Got stuck in the snow and called roadside and they told me it would cost me $750.00 for them to come pull me out and the wait time was 16 to 18 hours. And they said they only thing the insurance covers is a dead battery. I Live where there is snow and this is bound to have a lot but because of this I has to get it out myself which took almost 10 hrs and so I lost so much time and a whole day of moving so…… THANKS FOR NOTHING U-HAUL I WILL NOT BE EVER RENTING ANYTHING FROM YOU GIYS AGAIN AND AM GOING TO MSKE SURE IT IS MY LIFES PURPOSE TO TELL EVERYONE HOW BAD OF A COMPANY YOU GUYS ARE AND WRITE ARTICLES IN ALL THE LOCAL PAPERS AND ALL THE LOCAL NEWS OUTLETS TILL YOU GUYS STOP TAKING PEOPLES HARD EARNED MONEY SCAMMING PEOPLE TO BUY EXTRA THINGS…… ONE GOOD GESTURE WOULD TO REFUND ME THE MONEY I LOST PAYING YOU GUYS AND THE TIME I HAD TO WASTE BECAUSE OF YOUR ROADSIDE AND INSURANCE NOT DOUNG ANYTHING TO HELP PEOPLE….. JESS PWinter here in Montana is hard on drivers at times. Your trucks should have anti freeze window washing fluid in them. The regular window washing solution turns to ice instead of cleaning the front window.

MICHAEL BThe first trucks heater blower fan did not work- Had to return to store to change trucks, that was handled well- the second truck needed wiper blades to see well during snow storm. Was compensated for the inconvenience but felt vehicles should be better prepped for rental.
LARRY BNot sure what happened but had a leaf spring shackle break on trailer, called road side assistance and they came to a very remote location in the mountains of Montana to retrieve the trailer.. awesome!

Also we used for boxes, the bags of furniture pads just too up space. And didn’t even know we were getting them. Maybe when ordering people can choose how many bags to furniture pads. We barely needed one especially since cross town move. Also wish had option of during month long rental of more than one drop at next house. Then bring container back to current home to refill. That wasn’t an option would have needed to make a separate reservation.

Eric KThis was the absolute worst experience we have ever had, if you look at our account you will see we use your services often. The manager in the billings office was disrespectful, the truck head lights and electrical issues and cam on and off with bumps, the exhaust was disconnected and my son had to reconnect. She told us that my son was fine driving because it had to go to Bozeman for repairs. When we asked for another truck she said no. It backfired a lot on the trip and the headlights were hit and miss. Worst experience, rude and dismissive. If we were not there for my mother in laws estate help, we would have pushed more, but nerves were on edge after her death. This woman has personal issues that bleed over or something, My grandchildren were shocked by her rudeness, at 7 and 9 years old.

RICHARD DDriver came down sick the day my delivery was due, U-haul worked to find an alternate quickly but was still very frustrating to have to unpack over the weeknights instead of the weekend as originally scheduled. 5 stars to the driver who eventually came out, super effort by them to safely unload everything in the dark!

Christina R | Overall ExperienceMileage error, one of the workers was a bit rude when we tried to explain. The other two were great though. Also, the fuel gauge was improperly marker. We took a photo of both the mileage and fuel before we left. The rep was notified and said there's nothing he can do about it and the price was still the same, than proceeded to charge us for the fuel error. So I just had to go to the gas station, add more miles because the price was too high for the 5 dollars of gas I had to put to move the needle. Honestly it's just wild that we rented it for 2 hours, only drove it 17 miles and had returned it same day, just to be treated that way.

JODY SJessica and your stuff at U-Haul are simply amazing the time came when I didn't need as big of a shed as I had and I did not want to give up having a U-Haul shed there just because I like seeing all the friendly faces. So I rented a smaller one for a few months just cuz it made me feel like part of a team. I will miss seeing their faces again Jessica is number one.

With me specifically, she was rude, patronizing, unreasonable, dishonest, and went out of her way to cause unnecessary stress and loss of time. She seems to believe that U-Haul is her kingdom, and the rest of the community is at her beck and call. Only to be humiliated and belittled. I will not go back there or recommend this particular location to anyone. The only reason I did not take my business elsewhere, was because of the rest of the staff. They were friendly, compassionate, sincere and eager to serve all clients, starting with the Assistant Manager. She was a breath of fresh air once I spoke with her. She's the reason I didn't back out completely from U-Haul and go elsewhere. When the general manager is on site, all employees are stressed and constantly looking over their shoulder. I've seen myself how she speaks to them. Pretty sure, as a business owner myself, I would call this store, "A hostile work environment". I would hate to be employed by U-Haul if this behavior is condoned or encouraged by the corporate office.

Should have open access until 10pm but it has closed at 5 every evening. This has cost me two additional days with the uhaul that would’ve been unnecessary if I could have gotten into my unit. It’s been a huge inconvenience and cost more money than it should have. I told the business about not being able to get in and was not offered any discount of any kind for the uhaul. I was just told I would have to extend it. This sucks

I paid for a U-Haul they blatanly told me they could not do online, and then it got cancelled 45 minutes before my arrival time. I have already gotten in contact with the BBB to file a formal complaint, including documention of the incident and their posted threat that I would be thrown out for being upset at their continual failures.

I was told I could pick up the transport trailer by a uhaul employee with my pickup so I didn't have to waste extra miles and fuel with the uhaul 26 foot truck. But after driving to the location for 40 minutes the on site staff told me no I had to bring in the uhaul truck. That was a huge unprofessional waste of my time and fuel. Lots of miscommunication throughout all employees I spoke with. I ended up driving 115 miles to get truck and trailer before I could start my move. 3 hours lost and about 85 dollars worth of fuel used before my move began. Very frustrating for someone who made a reservation a week in advance for my moving needs. A refund of some sort would be appreciated. If anyone even actually cares or reads these comments. In my opinion she and her Staff are Rock Stars for sure. If you need u haul services go to her store on 15th and Grand.

Jeff B | Overall ExperienceThe folks when I made the reservations and when I arrived in Billings were AMAZING!!! (every single one). They were the kind, helpful, patient and friendly. I've been overseeing the estate of a deceased family member for over a year now and in doing so have had to work with dozens of agencies, businesses and many more people. Although I have been very satisfied with many, none have had better customer service and therefore better customer satisfaction than I had with your team in Billings (not even close) Let me put it this way, these estate dealings have been a a nightmare and the shining star in all of this has been been dealing with your company. Whatever you are paying them, raise it. LoL. Seriously though, whoever reads this needs to make sure someone reaches out to these folks, because of them U-Haul will be my ONLY moving company. Great job by all. Thank you so much.

They helped accommodate me and made sure that I was satisfied with all they had to offer. As we all know Customer service isn’t what it used to be , but here I felt like it was top notch, so that was super impressive. Thanks Jessica for making this experience great! .

Suzanne S | Overall ExperienceEntering all the information, especially uploading photos of my drivers license was tedious and problematic, but I suppose renting my unit online was worth the time and frustration because I got a free lock. However when I went to move into my unit, I arrived at the facility with a fully packed vehicle at 7pm, only to find that, while the security system recognized my access code, the doors would not open. The website stated that I would have access to my unti between the hours of 5am and 10pm. It really would have been very nice to know that this is not the case and I needed to be there during the hours the office is open in order to access my unit. This was extremely inconvenient and frustrating, and caused several hours of inconvenience, frustration and unnecessary work for myself and my friend , and during a stressful and very busy week where I really didn't have the time to waste unnecessarily transporting heave boxes between my home and my storage unit. I feel that the operators of the facility could have set up their website better and made sure that their business hours were correctly posted. Also, from the before I even rented the unit up to the present moment I have placed several calls, most of them during the hours listed as office hours,to the phone number listed on the website as the number for the main office, and at this time I have yet to have my call answered by any employee of the facility. Also, I'd like to mention that during my visit to the facility today, the hallway which leads to my unit has been newly cleaned and waxed and in addition to all of the other inconveniences I've had to deal with, I also had to push the heave handcart loaded with boxes far out of my way to get to my unit. When I needed help getting to the storage unit I had paid for but was unable to access during the hours the website said I had access I was unable to find a single person to help or even answer a question. But when there was a danger I might mess up someone's newly waxed floor by pushing a cart of heavy belongings I needed to store in the storage unit which I had already paid for, there was no shortage of employees who appeared out of nowhere to tell me not to use the door on the side of the building where my unit is located and not to walk down the hallway which would give me access to my unit without my having to take a tiring and time consuming walking tour of the entire facility. Oh, AND after all that, the lock i was provided with was defective and i had to walk ALL THE WAY BACK to the office to get another one. Overall, I'm pretty dissatisfied with the whole experience. I am hoping that the rest of my experience at this facility goes much better than it has over the past 3 days.

Annette H | Overall ExperienceWhen first arrived I could not find my unit but then staff member Jebidiah helped me as walking by. Even had me pull car around to unload at closest exterior doors that were locked. He also brought me 2 wheeled carts and unlocked my unit for me. He went above and beyond in terms of customer service! Also I sent email regarding question on dumpster usage and manager replied back to me within hours. Fantastic customer service at this location.
Kalie P | Online Move InThe manager is nice and friendly and helpful but not all the info was shared at the beginning so during the setup, I had to go back and forth multiple times. The storage process was fine, nothing special, but not bad. But then moving out I got charged automatically on the 26th, and my new apartment cleared me to move in early on the 26th, moved out of the storage unit on the 27th, my payment hadn't even fully posted then, told the employee on the 27th that I was moving out. Went to talk to store employee about a credit or a partial credit as I missed it by one day and have yet to hear from the manager do I'm assuming the answer is no... So I'm out $125 for one day and they get to rent it again and make double the money, how is that fair? Plus when I rented the truck from the office to clear out the storage unit, the employee was so rude that I just wanted to get out of there.

Steve G | First ImpressionsThe Storage was only accessible for limited hours each day and. when I moved out, I received three different emails asking me to make payments. I was told by a gentleman at the desk that he took care of it and had me moved out as of 7/30/22 and it took until 8/15 when I had to go back in to the facility after numerous phone calls to get the situation cleared up. There is an obvious lack of communication and it felt like the only time i was allowed to access my belongings and unit was when it was convenient for the workers at the facility. I was also placed next to the rear entrance to the storage building and on multiple occasions, when I asked the workers to unlock the back door for me to access my unit, on a door which is supposed to be open during business hours, they seemed annoyed at my request and half the time I had to let myself in through the front entrance and then walk across the warehouse to open the doors from the inside. The entire experience from start to finish felt like a hassle and if I needed a storage unit again I would probably go elsewhere.

SUSAN B | First ImpressionsThe office hrs aren’t the best considering it took 3 attempts to get a working storage unit (1st one was already taken, 2nd one had no lock) and still be able to access it when all was said and done. The advertised hrs are not accurate as they are currently doing renovations and access hrs are limited to office hrs right now. I was not aware of that until after all this mess happened and almost didn’t have time to get my boxes into the storage unit that I drove 30 gas expensive minutes for. I will be going back today to continue what I started yesterday and was unable to finish due to early closing. That being said, the staff did go out of their way to remedy all these problems and still leave me with time to unload my boxes that were with me yesterday.

Considering the fact that myself and my moving helpers couldn't have access to park up close to the storage doors. However I do appreciate the first month fee being free. I could not pass that up. The staff was very friendly, helpful and over all had the best customer service.

I rented a trailer for my move and had to return it early due to issues with my truck; Uhaul would not refund any of my payment. Cost over $600 to rent a trailer for 6 days.
