RAFAEL REasy and efficient rental start to finish
Holly FUnprofessional Conduct at Yonkers Location On April 16, I made an online reservation for a 9’ cargo van at the Yonkers Saw Mill Parkway location on behalf of my boss. (#70670794) As I was at the desk retrieving the vehicle, I was shocked to learn that the reservation had been changed to my name without my knowledge or consent. (#70685330) (I learned after the fact that the reservation had to be under the name of the person physically picking up the vehicle. However, I was never informed of this policy, nor did I authorize any changes to the reservation.) As a result, when my boss needed to keep the van longer than expected, it created unnecessary complications. Since the contract was under my name, I was the one being contacted regarding the rental, while he—being the actual driver—had no way to manage the situation directly. I had no relevant information to offer, and this entire issue could have been avoided had the reservation remained under the original name. Worse still, Paola’s behavior was completely unprofessional. Rather than simply stating I couldn’t complete the pickup due to policy, she altered the reservation and then, a few days later, proceeded to threaten me on the phone, stating that she “knew where I lived” because she had my license on file. This is completely unacceptable and crosses a serious line. Frankly, Paola should have been terminated immediately following this incident. Additionally, the woman working the early shift—whom I spoke with at 9:15 AM on April 24—was equally rude and dismissive, reinforcing the clear pattern of unprofessional conduct at this location. This kind of behavior is beyond unacceptable, and reflects extremely poorly on your brand. I strongly urge you to take action and terminate.

Virgilio Pit is not a U-HAUL store they dont have a variety of vehicles to rent, the attendant was not familiar with the system, I was at this place for 55minutes, time is very valuable for me thats my opinion.

FRANK MI would rate the staff excellent , very kind people, but the truck was empty with no fuel and the driver side molding was missing ,so my ride was noisy and couldn’t hear the radio. But I guess a vehicle with 140,000 miles can’t be perfect..at least the staff were very kind, so I would recommend the place most definitely.

They look like they take covid seriously with barriers and the charge card units 6 feet away from the staff. I really liked the Yonkers location. At Homefield I’ve had to go to in 6x to fix my card. I hope the 7th time is a charm. Staff allowed a customer to stay in store without a mask yesterday. Horrible. Please get the Homefield location to take covid more seriously there is a rise coming. And help them with workflow regarding fixing swipe cards. A customer should not have to go back 6x to get the same issue fixed. The Yonkers location has their act together.

Could do a better job with extermination- vermin and insects. After emptying my unit, I found mouse droppings in boxes. The elevator was broken for several days which was a huge inconvenience and no compensation was offered. I had to walk up the stairs with furniture. I would not recommend this facility. The rates increase consistently every year and you’re at their mercy.

Its hard to get staff on the phone and if you do get them on the phone, its because they are calling you because you're late on a payment. They'll keep calling back to back till you pick up when they want their money. I've been a customer for years and several times they've done repairs or upgrades and had debris from the ceiling fall all into my unit. I paid my unit late once and they left their lock on my unit for 3 weeks. They charge a "maintenance fee" for cleaning the storage facility but some how debris always made its way in my unit. Especially when they installed the new air units on my floor. This is also not a 24hr access storage facility.
