Daniel SI am compelled to document what is, without exaggeration, one of the most profoundly disappointing and unprofessional rental experiences I have encountered with U-Haul Moving. I had a confirmed reservation for a 6x12 enclosed trailer, an appliance dolly, and SafeTow damage coverage—equipment and services that were critical to executing a time-sensitive move for my daughter. Upon arrival at approximately 8:30 AM, I was immediately met with operational inefficiency and a complete lack of customer service awareness. Only one employee appeared to be assisting another customer, and after waiting approximately ten minutes, I politely inquired whether additional assistance was available given my schedule constraints. The response I received—“Hold on, I will get to you when I can”—was not only dismissive but demonstrably unprofessional. Eventually, another employee emerged from the back to assist. While the check-in process began adequately, it quickly became apparent that the location was either underprepared or poorly managed. I was informed that the appliance dolly I had reserved was not available. While inconvenient, I agreed to proceed without it. However, the situation deteriorated further when confusion arose regarding the SafeTow coverage. Despite explicitly confirming I wanted the coverage, it was ultimately omitted from my contract—while I was still charged for the unavailable dolly. This reflects a concerning lack of attention to detail and transactional accuracy. The most egregious issue, however, involved the condition of the trailer itself. After hookup and departure preparations, I discovered that the trailer’s braking system was malfunctioning. The brakes were initially locked, and upon inspection, the brake fluid reservoir was completely empty—an alarming and unacceptable safety oversight. I attempted to seek assistance immediately, returning to the office only to find it unattended, with no employees present despite an open maintenance bay. After waiting and receiving no response, I was left with no viable option but to proceed due to time constraints. While towing, the trailer exhibited clear signs of mechanical instability. It would not track properly and behaved erratically on the road, creating a hazardous towing condition despite being pulled by a properly equipped Ford F-250. This represents a serious failure in equipment inspection and readiness—an area where U-Haul should have zero tolerance for deficiency. Upon return of the trailer around 6:00 PM, the experience was equally frustrating. I waited under the designated return canopy for nearly ten minutes with no assistance. Upon entering the office, I observed both employees sitting behind the counter, disengaged. Only after prompting did one acknowledge me, and even then, assistance was delayed further. The check-in process itself required me to assist in removing the trailer—something that should not be expected of a paying customer. I communicated the mechanical issues and earlier failed attempt to report them. The response I received was indifferent at best—simply stating that a note would be left for the manager and the contract would remain open, with no clear resolution or accountability. To date, I have received no follow-up. I have rented from U-Haul numerous times over the years, including during my military service, and have generally found the company to be reliable. However, this location represents a stark deviation from those standards. The combination of poor customer service, inaccurate billing, lack of equipment availability, and—most critically—unsafe equipment conditions constitutes a complete breakdown in operational integrity. This experience reflects systemic issues in management oversight, employee training, and equipment maintenance. I strongly caution others against relying on this location, particularly for time-sensitive or safety-critical moves. In summary: unprofessional staff, inaccurate billing practices, unavailable reserved equipment, and dangerously deficient equipment condition. This was not merely an inconvenience—it was a liability.

KATHY SThe process for check-in non counter less was horrible. The gas mileage was not what was in the system and uploading a photo did not work. When I returned my truck I put the gas right back where it was. I was charged for gas I didn’t use at all. I have discovered that this is an ongoing issue. This makes me not happy with U-Haul anymore.
Felicia TI was charged 5 gallons of gas when I drove the truck less than 12 miles and it was never idling. I put in 2 gallons of gas before returning the truck which should have more than compensated for the usage. That gas charge was just to make more money off of me.

BRUCE AI tried to reserve a storage unit online and the site would not store my drivers license photo so I was unable to complete my reservation. Two days later when I was at the rental location, the unit had increased $23 and the rep was unable to honor my original price. This was a bit irritating and I had no choice at that point.

DARWIN MEveryone I interacted with at this location was very professional. Equipment was all as described, no issues. I also utilized the “Move Help” option within the uhaul booking to hire movers to help me load/unload. I had a company booked, but they canceled on me the morning of the move. I was able to work with the Move Help folks and get another company booked the same day. This pushed my timeline to turn in the truck a little bit later. The employees at this uhaul location understood my situation and did not charge me for turning in the truck a few hours later than scheduled. I highly recommend this location.
