There's a $5 charge that has no explanation on it. I only ordered and received 6 cloths but was charged for a dozen. I also had a hard time picking up the truck. I reserved the truck online but when I arrived at the location, my ID would not scan. I overheard some other customers complain about the same issue.

Ed BMy only concern is that when I reserved a vehicle, whatever quote I’m given, I expect just that. I can understand if I go over the miles or whatever but in this case I did not do there was no need for my price to change. Then while I was reserving the vehicle because this was my very first experience with U-haul and will probably be my last. I checked with many different times to see if the price would change and it didn’t ON THE APP during reservation but as soon as I returned the vehicle ON THE SAME DAY, I got hit with an additional 90.00 fee and I feel it should have updated in the app and adjusted the price. I actually only had it from 11:30am-9:30pm and the only reason 930pm was my time is because I had so many technical difficulties with the app. That’s a real headache, I had to do the process 3x and it took forever to upload photos. I made a mistake and refreshed it to see if that would help, I had to start all over again twice. You would think the mobile checkin/out would be faster. It’s a nuisance. Never again U-Haul.

JUSTIN WEmployees were not professional at all at the time of pick up. They could not be reached when I needed questions answered after getting the rental. Once returned I called about the bill and I was talking to one person who answered but another person was in the background yelling questions to me. Once she took the call she sounded in a hurry and was not listening to my questions she answered that two payments would equal the total owed. That was not my question. She then stated she will email the receipt to me. She did email it. I simply wanted to know why I had two charges on my card that totaled more than she stated was owed.

Mary EThis is the ONLY U-Haul I have seen that MAKES its customers haul out the furniture pads, haul out the utility dolly, and appliance dolly by themselves. Every other U-Haul I have used PLACES all these items INSIDE the U-Haul for the customer, at the start of their visit. Problems encountered were that the app. times-out and did NOT allow me to get all pictures in. The driver's side, bottom mirror was missing. This poses a driving hazard.

JOHN ENo complaints on the truck or the location, however the price for only 2 hours is ridiculous. I believe y’all should definitely take a look at the rates because that is terrible to charge 99 cents per mile then for only 2 hours. Y’all advertised for 19.95 and when we get to the end your total is 100 dollars or better.

Patti SI had a decent experience because I did online check in. Rhebyoung lady at the counter was very frustrated and said several times to everyone in there that she is in storage and not the front counter. She signed ever 30 seconds from being angry at having to work the counter and it being crowded. I was able to skip the line to get my keys but was not acknowledged by any worker and had to “break in line” do get the keys when it advised me to proceed to the side of the counter. Refurb was great, the guy acknowledged me and told me I was good to go and didn't have to go inside.
Michael GI booked for one location two days before then a couple of hours before pick up i was forced to change locations in which was in another city from the original resulting in excessive, unnecessary mileage driving the price up for a small truck that I didn’t have for 24 hrs. I am very unsatisfied.
JOE KI have been using U-Haul for years, but this is my first time actually renting a storage unit from them. I wanted to utilize the free first month complementary unit because I frequently rent trucks from this company. The staff was helpful, checking in was very professional. The facility was clean. I was provided with a card key to get inside and outside the building. however, upon arriving, we realize the storage unit they gave us was locked. We were unable to finish our move in a timely manner because we were delayed 45 minutes waiting For customer service to help in this situation. The alarm went off because it was after business hours. It was very stressful plus the unit was only supposed to be 8 miles from my location. It was 17 miles It took me almost 30 minutes to find the storage unit from my home.

However, the manager Amanda needs to learn customer service if she is going to interact with the public. When an issue arose relative to trailer size and rate, she raised her hand, told me to stop talking, turned and walked away. This confirmed other reviews I saw online and only escalated the situation. She is one example of terrible customer service and may benefit from additional training. But, I'm not convinced of it. Perhaps Daniel could be promoted for a smooth transition.

JEFFREY T1. My rental was not ready for mobile check in, even though the app said it was. I had to wait over an hour for an employee to arrive to check me in. They had forgotten to set my truck up. No apologies were offered. I would like this reviewed some kind of concession on my bill to be made. 2. I was charged both a fuel charge and a cleaning fee. I would like one or both of those reviewed and refunded to me. Due to the poor customer service and the total lack of preparation of the staff, was rushed in completing my move. I will concede that maybe I was unclear on why I have to pay an .89 cent per mile fee AND refill the fuel tank, but again, the total lack of customer service or directions from the staff are equally or greater to blame. 3. I had preordered 2 dozen moving blankets. When I pointed out they the truck was not supplied these, the staff member that arrived an hour after the posted opening time just tossed the four bags of blankets at my son and I and said “here they are.”

When given the key to vehicle I was given no indication where the truck was or what number to look for when searching for it. There were 11 of the same van on the lot. I was provided incorrect length rack for wardrobe box. Upon return with explanation, I was told I needed to come back the following day to speak to “Owner” to get a refund. After returning the following day and explaining the situation to her she reluctantly refunded the cost after complaining that she couldn’t use the box now because I already taped it together. I explained I had no way of knowing the metal rack was the wrong size until I assembled the box. I apologized for not double checking behind her employee to be sure I was given the correct size rack. One evening I attempted entry “after hours” using card provided. Doors were locked. Called Service Center and I was told I “didn’t pay for after-hours access”. I found out later entry can be accessed 24/7 via the roll up doors for vehicle access. Parking lot looks like it’s been bombed. Asphalt missing and large holes throughout. The construction going on in the building for the expansion of the individual storage units has created large amount of dust and debris covering the items I had in the storage unit. There should have been notice made to renters alerting the fact this would be taking place over the course of several months giving tenants the opportunity to cover belongings.

I was given a 2nd unit which also had a lock on it then I was given a 3rd unit which also had a lock on it! Each time the price went up and I had no choice but to pay because I had nowhere else to take my belongings by this time it was time for everyone to go home and I arrived at 6 with plenty of time to unload my belongings before 7 along with the help I was able to find because people aren't just falling over themselves to help anyone these days! Well the man come back after the 3rd unit had a lock and he took the lock off mind you the SAME lock was on all 3 units. He opened the empty unit so I asked about the 1st unit which he then took the lock off and it was also empty! Why he couldn't take the lock off to begin with seeing as how he had the key. We had backed up to the door to unload before any of this happened and while we were dealing with the unit issues they decided to close all the big doors so we were forced to prop the regular size door open to get my belonging inside. I am not normally a complainer I understand stuff happens BUT had he opened the original unit to begin with I could have avoided so much stress! My help was irate and it was not easy to get him to help to begin with. I hate I had such a terrible experience but this could have been avoided so easliy!

If I had one negative thing to comment (and was a factor in my moving to another storage place), it was that I rented a unit the same day I rented the truck (to have somewhere to move in). It was advertised I could get a month free with a truck or box trailer rental if I also got a storage unit. I was told I could do just that. But when I inquired after I moved my belongings, I was told I did not qualify for a free month because I already had the storage unit. But mind you, it wasn’t a previous storage unit, it was a storage unit I rented specifically for this move. A week later, I rented a large box trailer. Again, it was advertised that I could receive a month free of storage. But again I was told I didn’t qualify. That was frustrating. It needs to be spelled out that you get a free month when you rent a storage unit AFTER your move (as I was told). But if that’s the case, it’s nonsensical because I can’t imagine moving and not be assured you have somewhere to put your belongings when you arrive. Not a good way to treat a good customer. You can check my account and see that I’ve rented quite often and spent quite a bit of money on rentals, towing packages, etc over the past 2 years.

We plan to share our experience on social media as we will never use UHaul again.

The staff was friendly and knowledgeable- provided us with information requested, showed us a sample unit, etc... We didn’t have a certain timeline to move in, just needed to secure a unit, so I set the date for June 29 and we brought a few little boxes on that date. I asked about the truck again and was told it would not apply since I had already moved in... Our unit is in the very back corner. While it is one of the larger units, it has a smaller door. Lighting is poor. I wouldn’t Not recommend this facility to a friend, but it wouldn’t be my first choice after my experience in 6/29.

She doesn’t have any customer service skills. Her mask wasn’t even on her face properly. She walks away from her customer when she’s suppose to be showing them their unit. (Like you know were it’s located already)!

Then got an email several days later telling me that rent was past due and they are going to lock my unit and keep my belongings. That was funny since my unit was completely cleaned out and swept with door left open.

Kicked me out of my space because a little aftersray from an spray can got on another trailer. I simply worked it out with the other customer and the issue was resolved.
