The only thing that was really frustrating was how long it took to get off of the lot. The check-out process wouldn't work on my phone. It might have been a browser issue, but A) I didn't know I was going to have to do the check-out using my phone; and B) if the app doesn't work with every browser, you need to have a back-up option of a human employee doing the check-out and verifying the license plate, condition, and mileage. We finally forwarded the link to my friend's phone and had her complete it, but it would have been so much faster the old way OR if U-Haul had specified recommended browsers in advance.

First of all, I asked for a 5‘ x 9‘ trailer. After waiting for 20+ minutes for someone to hook up my trailer (there was not much staff only one person in the lobby because somebody else was on a break or something), had that trailer hitched up to my vehicle and one of the turn signal lights was out. They had to switch me to a 6‘ x 12‘ trailer which cost more money and they charged me the difference. I was at the facility for well over an hour to pick up the trailer. Absolutely abysmal and I should not have been charged the difference because the trailer I had been renting had a bad lightbulb

Staff are helpful and easy to work with. The 10' box truck we got was not in good condition. The key for the truck is bent, which made it hard to lock the doors and even harder to get the key out of the ignition. The switch for the lights was missing, so I could not control our headlights and could not tell if they were fully on or on daylight running mode while driving in the dark. Add to that there was no marked drop box for returning the keys. I slid our keys under a door with the hopes that the location found them the next morning. Figuring they did since they did not reach out. But, that was super frustrating because I did not want to be responsible for a truck if the keys got fished back out from under the door.

There was one person behind the counter and probably 10 people in the lobby. Phone ringing off the hook. By the time I got my vehicle absolutely out of gas. Visor was broken flopping in my face the entire time. And somehow the advertised $20 a day in town turned into $100 trip. Less than 2 hours.

The rental was returned but not checked in properly by the staff. Got charged for fuel being siphoned out of the tank overnight. I am glad I took pictures. I had to call and am waiting on the proper charge to be placed on my card.

There were several mechanical issues with this truck (door difficult to fully close, key bent and difficult to engage, drive train clanking when down shifting, etc.), Improve access to inventory, Trailers and vans were not available from the website, forcing me into a more expensive truck. The location had several unreserved trailers and vans. The price quoted on the website was less than the actual cost.

Returned rental before location was closed, 2 hours early, after only renting it for less than 2 hours. Gave key to employee. Vehicle did not get checked in until next morning so double charged double and charged an after hours fee. Man asleep on boxes in the lobby when picking up rental.

The original trailer that I was given was in need of repair. I brought it back later the first day of my rental. They did not have a similar same trailer to replace it with. I ended up with a smaller trailer which meant that I was not able to move as much in each load.

I would like to give a special thank you to Sugar Foote for his kindness and efficiency. He was approachable and was very helpful in the midst of a difficult transition. The staff over-all were kind. I really appreciate it. Storage facilities carry many memories and things that people are still trying to process, let go or keep for a future vision. The guy was friendly but marked the gas as 1/2 full, when we received it is was below 1/2 . When we returned the truck to a different location after putting gas to the same as when we received it. We were charged an additional $16.80 worth of gas.

We had made our reservation at the uhaul at 2400 1st ave s in seattle. I have the reservation confirmation but the woman I dealt with was horrible. I even triple checked because I could tell this location might be a night mare. We went to pickup and we're told or reservation was in burien. We made the reservation in seattle for mileage. The lady denied making the reservation and then acknowledged she was the one that made the reservation. No apologies just $30.00 in additional mileage and an hour wasted. I will never use your service again. Keanon at your Burien location was excellent.

It was my fault that I did not inspect the vehicle before I left UHAUL. The rear lights on the vehicle were not operational at night. Plus the headlights were so dim, even in the bright light function, I could barely see the road. Again my fault for not inspecting the vehicle. I informed the dealer.

The associate at this location has a very sour attitude and was rude to both myself and a friend of mine who rented a truck the day prior to my appointment. They would cut me off in the middle of a sentence, never spoke clearly, was generally unhelpful, and did not include the blankets from my initial online request. They were rude to the other customer in the store renting a truck at the same time as me, whose driver door handle was punched out and the associate told the customer to just use the passenger door. They had a generally disenchanted disposition, and every person I saw or heard them interact with received the same treatment. I wouldn't recommend anyone come to this location, unless they have a seriously high threshold for tolerance and patience

Inside of the windshield was dirty, no washer fluid in the truck, and gas tank was only 3/4 full. Staff had to get a new trailer hitch. Reservations are very hard to make. I live on Vashon had had to go to the mainland to get a pickup truck, and there are never car trailers on the island. This adds $100.00 to each use to get the trailer on the island. Trying to find a location with a truck and trailer on the days I needed was imposable and the on-line reservation system really is not usable, so I ended up using a friend's trailer instead of renting one. I won't be using U-Haul again unless the equipment I need is available ON VASHON ISLAND. It wastes several hours and $100- to get equipment on the mainland. The Pickup they had was taken in for maintenance and they were told they would not be getting a pickup truck to replace it. This is just BAD BUSNESS. I rated this location as Above Average only because of how bad the one that is closer to me has always been.

the truck broke down less than 5 mile from pick up lost the first day waiting for it to get towed to drop off had to pay for a second day to unload and got over 30 calls up to and as late as 2 am and had to be towed to and from destination was very unhappy and never got back to me on my complaint about truck call me at 2532233256

The unit we got was infested with bees. There was no lock and we had to fight the bees to put on our own lock. Then we ended up having to pay for three full months even tho we moved out a couple days after two. Will definitely tell others to go somewhere else.

The reason for my two negative answers are that I was uncomfortable with someone else having the keys to my storage unit. Additionally, the location and lack of secured access caused me concern. Overall, expected experience for the price I paid. You get what you pay for. I visited the location a few times for my storage, and one of my employees is annoyingly incompetent. The main office was being renovated, so a bunch of customers were standing outside, and the incompetent employee walked by us a couple of times and never let us know we had to check-in at the garage, which would've saved the customers several minutes of waiting for nothing. To the employee's credit, how can you expect more out of him when his own management can't even make signs to tell customers where to go. Secondly, when I got unit 337, I saw that the vent had been ripped off with a screwdriver so that some junky could reach their hand in to grab stuff to steal and pawn for heroin. I was assured that the location's management would patch the vent up so that my storage unit would be secure. After storing my belongings at this location for almost two months, management never patched up the vent. Luckily, nothing was stolen.

The staff was outstanding & super helpful. I'm not a huge fan of the 'trailer van' storage units. I was under the impression that these units were part of a bigger building, so that was a little unsettling especially because of the crime in this area. The only other complaint I have it not being able to reach ANYONE at U-haul on the phone. Your online system works great and I'm thankful that it all worked out. But not be able to ask a person a question before hand was a little unnerving.

Your staff is typically amazing so you must be doing something right! However, they seem to operate with little supervision and little training and few processes. They had no idea how to handle an upset customer (me) when I came in after my unit had been broken into. They need more support there. All they did was look uncomfortable and shrug their shoulders.Whoever the woman was that proactively reached out to me and finalized my move out was especially helpful the past few times I was there. I wish I knew her name. As far as the facilities, they are are dirty and stinky and messy. I wished we had moved out sooner.
