My charge was way more than I was told and from the example they told me on where to have the gas back at when I turned the U-Haul in was incorrect I had put way to much gas back in when I got to Decatur Alabama and I wasn’t told that I would have to pay any kind of free for the free storage been but it cost me an additional almost $9.00 🤷🏾♀️

Helen W | First ImpressionsI went to notify U-Haul that my unit was cleared out and no longer needed on8/31. The employee motioned for me and 2 other customers to go to HIM while he walked away another 20 or so feet so he could park HIS butt in a truck to conduct business. Both my knees are shot (I walk with a cane) and I am in A-Fib so walking any distance is a hardship. It was poor behavior as an employee, a lack of respect toward the customers and the others customers felt the same way. We thought it was pathetic that he felt he needed to go sit worse that I did. jean h | Overall ExperienceU haul bought another storage facility down the street and staff didn't know the sizes . We had to tell him 3 times what we needed it for only to find our every time we went to the units it was too small. Third time it was a bigger one n finally got it right. We drive back n forth 3 times to get the right storage unit! Also our unit was tore up inside w rat traps broken and cob webs everywhere. It also leaked rain all in bottom floor cause walls were broken nd tore up! They changed the gate codes without telling us and luckily the gate guy told me how to get in . Thank goodness he was there the day n time I needed in my storage! I want my money back of 150$ I pd for not even a mth I used the unit!! I mentioned all this problems to the manager n assistant manager and they seemed to just say " sorry" !! This is absolutely ridiculous. If uhaul is gonna buy units from other places, maybe they need to KNOW and INSPECT them n have their employees know how to rent them out!! I just moved here from PA and needed a storage unit quik and dependable. This was a bad experience from the start!!
