I’m incredibly disappointed that you had squatters living in a vacant unit. I’ve never had a storage unit like this and wasn’t aware of the full way to lock my units so they also invaded my units. I just had to clean human feces out of my unit that’s still active. Disgusting. How can you advertise that your units are secure and well lit when you had squatters? My first weekend with the unit, I was moving things into the unit at all hours. I wouldn’t have had I known there was a squatter in the unit across from mine. It was not well lit in the middle of the night.

Lance S | Overall ExperienceThis experience was horrible. I called the store to rent a trailer and a storage unit. I went to the store the day before I left to go get some furniture. On the day I came back to pick up the trailer. The guy who tried to assist me was from another U-Haul store. He couldn’t find my information in the system. He had to call customer service for their help. Long story short we finally figured it out and I confirmed with the guy that my Ubox would be ready for 6:00 Saturday night. No one showed up, I called the store. The woman said that there was no one there that day and time who had a fork lift permit so she told me to call them in the morning. I then got in my truck and went to the store on elm street Waterville. The guy there wrote a message to leave for the people working Sunday letting them know I would not be there Sunday, I had a family funeral to attend. I went there Monday to get everything all set and again there was nobody who could help me. I ended up having to get a handtruck from the store to go to the trailer and unload my furniture which was way on the other end of thief facility my husband and I are both elderly people with health problems and should not have been put in this position. I am very dissatisfied with this service. I feel that I shall not have to pay for any of the events that happen being rented in the trailer, renting a storage unit and possibly renting the storage unit for two months now because I had to pay the guys who showed up to help me move on Saturday night and I will not have any money until next month at the end of the month .
Kelly K | First ImpressionsA unit in the same building ours was in let rats in. They were going through all the units and DESTROYED everything we had. My Marine Corps Uniforms that I’ll never be able to get back and our furniture. We did not have anything that would attract them but someone else did and we were affected. I called the so many times from March till August and no one cared. They said “yeah a manager will call you” no one ever called back. I paid for insurance and they kept saying oh well and that they’ll let their manager know. We lost everything.

I ended up going to the office and just having to finish everything on my phone because the person at the desk couldn't find any information on me and wasn't really offering any other solutions. Not great customer service, but when that was finished, it was very simple to find and enter my unit, which was clean and dry.

Serena B | Overall ExperienceI went in to the office on April 15th to report that I had moved out and no longer needed the unit. The two guys thanked me for letting them know. They said they would go by that afternoon to inspect the unit and close our my account. I still go billed for May and had to call the national office (because the local office doesn’t have direct line) to get them to stop the automatic payments. Now I have to fight for a refund.

There's some acres for animals and spiders to go from unit to unit. Needs more space between buildings. Needs cameras. The lady at U-Haul was outstanding. Very disappointed she isn't manager, she is thorough and personable, consistent and hard working. Hope she gets store someday. TJA
