I *don't* like U-Haul's insistence that I provide my lease, my 'other contact' info, etc. etc. etc. If you are going to continue with this nonsense, I WILL rent from a different truck rental company. YOU NEED ME MORE THAN I NEED YOU. And *ask* how much "loss of a customer" costs the business. $$$$ P.S. Even though I rented through the U-Haul web site, it took me THREE PHONE CALLS to make sure I wouldn't have to produce the additional documentation YOU DON'T MENTION BEFORE I HAVE ALREADY GIVEN MY CREDIT CARD NUMBER. A customer service rep at the location said, "All they will really ask is my driver's license and credit card." And guess what? THEY ***STILL*** bothered me for this garbage documentation when I picked up the truck. Try NOT to alienate your damn customers.
MARSHALL SCustomer service at both locations were better than most customer service representatives - anywhere. The trailer I rented had a more-than-just-a squeak when backing up. It sounded as if something is seriously broken. Foreboding when driving 1500+ miles solo. But it did have new tires and lights that worked, so overall I'm very pleased. I'll use Uhaul again soon.

CRAIG JEquipment was clean but had some sort of leak at top corners of windshield which caused water to pour in when vehicle was first moved after being parked. Luckily no rain during our rental so once we dried things out it was fine. Pick-up location indicated this was the only/last one-way truck they had available, so swapping equipment wasn't an option.

JORGE RYou could start by giving the so many Miles free when you rent a vehicle. I was shocked that I was charged more because they had quit that. You were making more money out of me for the last month.Then you lost in revenue by giving me those few extra free miles

KEVIN BOne tire on the trailer lost air almost from the start of a 6-hour rental. It finally went flat just over 1/2 way thru my rental. The repair guy who came out found no nail or other damage. Did Uhaul rent it to me with a bad tire? I got only part of my tasks done as a result and despite repeated requests, was not offered any compensation.

Christine LEmployees were abrupt and incompetent. Insisted I needed 3 phone # to rent when I questioned why was told I couldn’t rent then. Next day when I returned the item the next day they tried to tell me I’d rented at a different location, I had printed receipt and text and suggested they check the camera. Maybe hire someone older than 20 BTW I am an old guy

MARCELA GThis is the worst experience I’ve ever had with U-Haul company, for 30 years I’ve been using U-Haul from California all the way to Washington state. I rented a 4 x 7 open trailer and the guy that helped me never said there will be a $20 charge nor did he highlight it. Apparently he’s new. the manager explained to me that it has to be returned through the app which he never said. So either this employee or employees are not being trained correctly when I move from California myself to Washington state I dropped off at this location. I also rented a close trailer on a different occasion. I’ve now noticed every time I go to this location. There’s always a new face and new management. I told the manager I would never come back to this fucking location. I’m a registered pro mover through North American van lines I have over 25 years experience and this is bullshit. This location is 3315 E. fourth Plain Blvd., Vancouver, WA 98661. My name is Steven Mar phone number 619-606-1945. As well when I dropped off the trailer, this location was closed, but they were leaving about 45 minutes after closing, and not once even looked at me when I was pulling in with the trailer. No, it was two employees, a male and female, and they could’ve also been Kind enough to remind a customer to make sure you return through the app.
STEVEN MThis was a distribution that you asked of me. These people didn’t have record of it. Then they gave me the wrong trailer. Once they got the right trailer they didn’t latch it and I only found out when I stopped for gas.

Ricky MI thought the Customer Service was really friendly and I was happy with the rental but the thing is that moving by yourself and having a complicated move out of an apartment which is not a moving friendly. I guess you could say you know presents challenges and you never know moving has always brings challenges. You never know what to expect even when you plan for them and I was I was two hours late, but that’s because not only that I needed to get the U-Haul cleaned out so I have to spend an hour to do that get the gas so I technically if you think about it, she said she would’ve waved an hour if it was an hour but since I was two hours late, I got charged a whole Nother day and I didn’t even have the vehicle for a whole another day and I also got charged the insurance for a whole Nother day which I didn’t have for a whole another day. It would be for two hours so I got I paid two full days and then I paid a third day for just two hours And really the two hours. I think should’ve been calm because when I brought it back, it did have a full tank. It was cleaned up. Everything was intact if I would’ve brought it back damaged or if I would’ve brought it back, not in good shape or not filled I could see the problem, but the fact that I made sure that all those things were taken care of, and it took a little extra time because of the difficult things you run into when you’re moving, and I tried to call in, but to be honest using the phone system to call into the into the local branches is never easy. It takes a lot of time so that being said and then I also got charged $50 and I think that if they’re gonna charge $50 saying that somebody else had to rent rent, I’d like to see the proof that it was rented so because I got charged $50 for each day and so that’s not cool right I shouldn’t have gotten that and so U-Haul‘s done some extra things there where they’re doing a Making all these charges but if you’re gonna charge for it, you gotta have proof of the charge so I have to see that somebody else really did have it rented in that reservation for that day a legitimate one and I didn’t get that and I got charged for that and when I tried to rent it, it told me it was available so that’s kind of odd and so but then I told myself no I need to take it back, but I’m really upset about the whole extra day charge for just two hours because technically I scheduled it to pick it up at 11 but realistically I didn’t get there until later in the day so you know there’s gotta be some flexibility here so cause I have basically had the U-Haul for two days or the van for two days and I spent almost $300 which that I won’t be able to do again if that ever happens again I will never be able to rent a van because the mileage went up almost 40%. that’s a huge increase and on top of that you’re doing charging people 50 bucks just telling them that they owe 50 bucks no proof You know I mean maybe I should’ve skipped on the insurance because that’s what it’s gonna come from

VICTOR S3 days prior for rental pick up I ordered a 4'X9' trailer with a ramp.I needed this size only because my gate opening was only 52" wide. When I went to pick up,all they had was a 5'X 12'. The worker I hired was on the clock.They called another U-Haul and reserved it for me across town.I appreciated this ,but I was still out $ I had to pay day laborer. When I booked initial reservation, I told your employer that I could only use a 4'X9' because of my gate size...he wasn't" paying attention and it cost me about $40.00 in added labor. Check my rental record...I use you guys a lot.

KENNETH KReturn customer here. Just like my last experience, the representative was very helpful and made the rental easy and efficient. Knowledgeable and helpful with a good sense of humor, she made the experience as palatable as possible. I think the rates are reasonable and the equipment is always in great shape. Not that I'm dying to move again but IF I do, it's nice to know that renting a vehicle won't be a difficult or annoying part of the process.
GREGORY AKeep hiring customer representatives like Joanna. She was kind, courteous, patient, extremely knowledgeable. Her demeanor calmed both myself and the person I was with rather quickly and with a smile (we were grumpy not looking forward to helping out the daughter. I enjoyed our conversation and was impressed with the way she took over and hitched the trailer for me. She even went over all the relevant "need to know "items and safety features and procedures. She almost jumped in to change a ball hitch for a taller profile(we didn't know, so we brought 2 with us). She would have changed it out for me if I had let her. She is a keeper, and if she hasn't received a raise lately, she deserves one for putting up with a couple of old coots , today, with a smile and cheerful attitude. I would recommend this site to anyone as long as they got a chance to meet her and her personality, I am confident they would spread the word quickly to do business there. Thank you.
