John KI was very happy with the service and my move was much easier than I had been anticipating. I liked doing my own packing and unloading as some movers I’ve used in the past were too rushed and left my belongings in a pile. Plus it was easier to load and unload being so low to the ground. The containers also fit many more items than they would appear to. All the staff and the delivery drivers were very helpful and friendly. I would recommend this U-box move for a stress free move. Thank you so much.

nancy rMy container arrived a day late and it was difficult to get any information. This caused a lot of anxiety, and I had to ask a lot of questions to get any information. Luckily it was only a day and everything turned out fine. There was also some confusion with accessing the container. We thought we would be able to access the container until 7pm, but we found out we cannot access it when the facility is closed. Outside of these 2 incidences, it was a great experience. All our goods arrived safely.
Sarah KThe pick up location was great and helped with everything I needed. Once it got to the drop off location that is were everything went down hill. Customer service was bad, I paid for guaranteed delivery 6/15 got a call 6/13 saying they would be there and that I would be getting a call 6/14 to schedule the delivery. Never got a call I called the office they said they will be there between 9-5 6/15 okay fine. Then I got nothing delivered I called and got an attitude from the Customer service saying that it won’t be there till 6/17 maybe. Provided no help. Told them I paid for delivery 6/15 was told it would be and scheduled it Friday and I didn’t get my box till 6/17. I would be hesitant to recommend this site for use later. I am hesitant only because a Zachary from this store was helpful on Sunday and tried to help which was appreciated

Richard RDespite being expensive to move just about anything these days, this was a very well done service. Everything went smoothly, and even my fragile items (drum set and a lot of vinyl LPs) arrived without getting roughed up. What was particularly good was the communication. I received phone calls and texts, and I could call back(!), the dispatcher who was able to relay information about the trucking status to me. That was exactly what was needed with my own hectic schedule. Keep up the good work U-Haul!
Peter AWhen providing a schedule for when the customer’s possessions are going to be delivered to them, try to care about the schedule you create for the customer. My stuff was in the same city as me for almost a whole week before the delivery date (which is fine, because maybe there were a lot of local box deliveries) but for no apparent reason (at least to the 3 different UHaul employees I talked to and myself, maybe some UHaul deity knows the reasoning) my possessions weren’t delivered to my new house on the date that UHaul scheduled for itself. Instead I had to spend literal HOURS trying to figure out what the fuck happened. And I still don’t know what happened, because no one I talked to could figure out why UHaul LIED about my initial delivery date. But, hey, UHaul got its money, so it doesn’t matter what happens to the customer, it’s not like I’m going to fight a massive corporation since I technically got my stuff eventually. It’s not like UHaul took ANY responsibility for their lapse in timeline, especially since I did ALL the leg work to realize that my stuff was not going to be delivered as was promised about a month before, and was confirmed the day before. And I thought UHaul wouldn’t fuck up my move since they were a relatively big and stable company, and having worked at UHaul for a time, I thought they would be trustworthy. Turns out I was wrong!

vivian LThe two wood boxes were in poor shape, specifically the doors would not seal. After half loading the first one we noticed mice busily building nests. They love the furniture pads for shedded nests! So each time closing the door(s) I had to use duck tape to seal the gaps. The delivery person in Arizona (Melissa, who was great) wondered why the boxes were all taped up! You should get rid of the plywood boxes, or give customers discounts when they are supplied.

We had to drop off the furniture pads on the other side of the city, bypassing several other locations. But overall great and helpful. Thank you

The two women I dealt with on both ends of my move were friendly, professional and made me feel confident that my possessions were in good hands.

Paul WA lamp was broken but that could have been poor packing on our part. Getting the pods was a mess in Dallas. We were sent to 3 different locations, the 1st one, no one was there. The 2nd one we got the truck, service was good and the 3rd one again was locked and it took an hour for someone to show up. After a lot of planning this was disappointing.
Cindy OReceiving the U-Haul box was a breeze! Very helpful staff and on-time service--very satisfied! However, once the box reached its final shipping destination in Santa Maria, problems began. We were not notified that the box had arrived, and the app was not updated. We went to the Santa Maria location to make sure that the box had indeed arrived, but was told that we couldn't access it right away. Made an appointment by phone to access our box, but that appointment didn't make it to the location--so, when we arrived, we couldn't access our box and had to reschedule. Arrived to access the box and had to wait over an hour to be helped--only one customer service person on duty for a Saturday morning! Was not informed that we needed a converter for our truck hook up, and was not allowed to leave, and was not able to purchase one from that location--had to wait for a converter to be brought in (another hour!). Finally, get the box home to unload and the shipping bolts were still on the box...it's a good thing that we had the tools to open it safely otherwise we would have had to return to get the box opened. The one customer service person in Santa Maria was very helpful, but incredibly over-extended. She had 4 other employees on duty, but they were all goofing off and were not assisting her in any meaningful way. If we have need of UHaul services in the future, I will NOT be selecting to use the Santa Maria location, even if it means driving a longer distance to access better service.
Everything was excellent, really. I loved how every step of the way was communicated well. Everyone I spoke to or encountered were very friendly, polite, and helpful. You had excellent pricing. Thank you for making this move run smoother for me.

Jean hHave a way to track the box, we went an extra 3 days (over 1.5 week in total) without having any of our stuff and no idea if it was officially lost or just delayed. I had so many people transfer me over the phone to tell me the same thing, they didn’t know where my box was. It created a very stressful experience overall because of that.
Stephane BSome confusion on delivery of my items to storage unit locally. Worked out, just had to clarify where to drop off cube. Driver was polite, considerate, making it easier to unload on my own. Thanks for the help from office personnel.
