alex cThe staff was great , the vehicle was fine but a recent change in U Haul requirements makes me unable to recommend using any UHaul location. I've rented here a dozen time but now I am required to let U Haul take a picture of me despite giving photo ID - Sorry I am never going to do that again and will rent elsewhere from now on.

ALFREDO RThe van I rented needed mechanical work. It pulled to the right low it needed a wheel alignment. The steering was off. This vehicle is unsafe. I mentioned this to the young man working but he was busy on his phone and brushed it off.

Emmanuel KThe gas was empty in the truck but was indicated as quarter tank on the contract. When I complained after my trip with pictures as evidence, the sales lady told me she wasn’t aware and that I should have reported using the U-Haul App. So if she didn’t know then why do indicate as quarter tank full. Again the total mileage at the end of my trip was 45 miles but was told it was 52 miles and charged accordingly. Soo disappointing.

WINSTON CI have never rented a trailer before so went in a week early to have the employee check my car and hitch. He said everything was good but he did not explain I didn't have what I needed to hook up the lights. Day of the rental I was told I didn't have the light hook-up I needed. I realize this was my mistake but this is their business and is exactly why I brought my car to them a week early so they could look at it. I depended on the U-haul employee to actually check and make sure I had what was needed for the trailer. The employees at the U-Haul of Staten Island location were NOT helpful but the U-Haul employee on the phone at the corporate 800 number was extremely friendly, understanding, and helpful.

KENNETH JI rented two truck in two days, and the staff was pleasant as always. There was an error in my address on the display screen and an employee was familiar with me promptly looked it up, cross checked my previous Rentals to try and fix the error. Which was completely computer based and not employee based. I will continue to use this usual location as long as I live on stayen island.

NAIL CWhen I returned the vehicle I was told that the vehicle had to be cleaned. There had been snow two days before so the floor mats were a little dirty from the salt and melted snow of our shoes. There was no trash or other debris in the cab or the back of the truck. The attendent told me I would be charged $25 for cleaning. I objected and told him I wanted to speak to his manager who was not on site. I have photos documenting the condition and believe the attendent was simply trying to shake me down because he said he had to clean the truck. I thought that was his job in addition to other duties. I wil be reporting this to U-Haul about this incident.

ROGER CHave clean truck and maintained trucks. I picked up my truck and it had the check engine light on. I was in a rush and reported it but customer service said it would be awhile to get a new truck or I can use the one with the check engine light on. Since I was in a rush I had no choice. I also forgot my ez pass in the truck and I was taken in circles to get it back. Awful experience with this location.

MICHELLE DThe employee working was very nice and helpful but after reserving a flatbed truck and confirming twice, including the day before pick up, I arrived and was told they had no vehicles for me. I wound up having to take the only available box truck that was there, which I was not as comfortable driving. The check engine light was on, which was concerning to me. All in all, not a good experience and will be taking my business elsewhere in the future.

JUAN LI reserved a truck n advance when I got there there was no truck available and the place smelled like pure mariguana. No suggestion or attempt was made to help. I had to call a manager for assistance

HUMBERTO MWhen arrived to drop off vehicle, again I was quickly greeted and got my final receipt and out within minutes. It seems that UHaul has stepped up to the plate and definitely improved. Will surely recommend to friends and family!
MICKIE LReserved a truck with dolly, hand truck and 2 dozen furniture pads (3) days in advance. Reserved it for counterless pickup. I get to the location at 7:00 a.m. and the app says I need to call customer service while I try to check in. I called customer service and they stated that the location never set up or reserved the truck. The location was supposed to open at 7:00 a.m. as well, nobody showed up until 7:40 am. The truck itself was in somewhat decent condition, the inside windshield was so filthy you couldn't see out of it, the tow/haul button didn't work, so the entire time it's in high RPMs burning as much fuel as possible and the truck exhaust leak into the cab. So when you stop at a red light you have the pleasure of breathing in the exhaust.
