Cargo area was dirty. Lots of mud. Side view mirror was broken. Would not stay in place Driver side door did not close completely. At high speed lots of wind noise

Su LThis was my second Uhaul rental in two weeks, first one was for me when I was moving stuff to a storage locker, today's rental was for my son helping him move into his new place. Just like last weekend, the Uhaul App was not working properly, added easily an extra 30 minutes to our pre-planned day because the app kept saying the truck we rented was not available at the location we were scheduled to pickup from. It was a 30 minute drive to the location, so I didn't want to make a one hour round-trip drive in the event the truck was really not there. We called uHaul customer service, and the woman on the phone assured us the truck was there, but the app said it wasn't. Since the app said it wasn't there, we couldn't even start the check-in process. We tried it on Android, and iPhone, and the result was the same. We went into the store (thank goodness they were actually open on the weekend), and even the clerk had a really hard time getting us checked-in, that added about another 20 minutes. We had people waiting on us to help us load the truck. These last two rentals in the last two weeks have been absolutely horrible, and I think when the time comes again for me to move in a few months, I will be looking for different moving truck options. Even the clerk at the pickup location US Gas, said that SO MANY of the uHaul customers come in complaining about how terrible the uHAUL app is, that it almost always has issues.

kenneth bMake sure that it is the right person that they are sending the info to. I’m NOT the right person but got an invoice for everything with someone else’s credit card info, name and address. Not good.
stewart lUsed the truck for a 45 mile round trip. $130.00 plus is way too much. Don’t think I would use U-Haul again.
robert dExplain to the associate that he should be a little more enthusiastic while checking me in. I'm paying 2400 bucks for the truck and he could care less that I was there. Gave me the key and said the truck was around back. Not impressed.

Ridiculous. Also the person who runs this location asking us to park the truck in a specific spot for him. I don't work for him or Uhual
katherine hIf you did not cost me an additional $22 you would be a great company, fleet management is your weak point or you do this on purpose to make additional money.

Rosemary MMy fee for mileage almost doubled overnight. Thanks so much for removing all doubt. It didn't used to be this way with U-Haul Now U-Haul sucks. Never again will I offer U-Haul my business.
John RThe steering wheel was so old it was crumbling in my hand. The cab was very dirty. The employee refused to give me my employee discount which was in the notes and that was the last straw for me. I had rented a Penske two weeks prior and everything from the immaculate location and helpful employee to the immaculate clean truck was night and day compared to my uhaul experience. If I’m not given my cousins employee discount as a refund as I should have received but the man at US gas said he couldn’t apply it which I told him was not true, if I’m not given a refund for the discount I’m leaving bad reviews for my subpar experience with Uhaul. It was awful. It was more expensive for one day than a much larger 16 ft brand new truck with Penske… that is not right! Please fix this matter. You will see it in the notes of my account what should have been done.
Chelise WI couldn’t use the truck. Didn’t know there was no ramp so I returned it within 10 minutes but still had to pay for the rental. Very frustrating
Larissa GWhen I went into the location the Uhaul business is second to the gas business and I was treated as such. I was put off to the side until the customers for the gas business were taken care of. Although the Uhaul was clean, as we were driving (in a torrential rainstorm) water was leaking through the window seals. The check engine light came on 35 minutes into the ride. I was not impressed by the business that rented me the Uhaul.

Bruce CNo one told me I only had 63 miles. I got charged a total of $400 plus for renting a truck 26.5 hours. I have to get a truck this Saturday again. I will be doing business with Budget or Enterprise. I will never do business with Uhaul again!

Peter HOrdered a furniture dolly with the truck rental. When I picked up the truck, he did not have one available. Created a problem for me to try a find one to help with the move. I called UHaul for help and spent 2 hours on the phone with no result. Horrible customer experience.

Paula BI was made to wait for a long time even when I made the booking online. One customer service personnel servicng everyone really prolonged check-in process. Overall, proximity was good and associate endeavored to multi-task appropriately.
Sarah NThey gave my reserved van to someone else. I had to take a truck. I ordered 12 moving pads and the guy brought them out from the back, tossed them on the floor, they fell all over and he said here are your pads and walked away leaving me to pick them all up! WTF. How to I get my $50.00 because they did not have my reservation?

Eric LReserved for pick up at 630am. Was advised by mobile uhaul when logging in reserved truck could not be picked up until 8am. Arrived at facility at 8am and was advised their hours with uhaul are incorrect and they were open for pick up at 6:30. Although a big inconvenience the truck was in great condition.
Kimberly SFor a start provide the equipment that was ordered. I ordered a 15’ truck and it was confirmed. Within hours I received an email that my Cargo Van was ready to be picked up on date requested - in a different location then requested 10 miles further away. Was informed I would get a phone call the following day before 6 P.M. That did not happen. Not a good first experience. The gentleman at the location where I picked up the Cargo Van was helpful. Not his fault my originally ordered 15’ truck was swapped for a Cargo Van. Had to make two trips to move furniture rather then one trip which increased mileage/costs. Doubt I will ever rent from U-Haul again. Moving is never easy to begin with and the lack of any communication from U-Haul as promised didn’t help. Again the gentleman where I was directed to pick-up the Cargo Van is not to blame.

David VVery disorganized. No explanation. No communication. I signed 1 form when picking up. Nothing when returned. Kept saying "phone". No idea what he meant. As i checked my phone hours later all the check in was thru links on your phone. I have no idea if i was even charged the right amount. I would not recommend anyone rent a uhaul from this place. Worst experience ever and i have rented many times over the years.

Adam CThe truck rear door was not latched and it opened when we started driving. The store rep apologized when we returned the truck saying that the prior renter must not have latched it correctly. The truck’s motor was not well maintained. We were concerned that it might break down.

FRANKLIN SWe reserved at one location, but when I called to confirm, Uhaul said they moved us to another location because the first had no trucks. Fine, but an email notification would've been great. When we arrived at new location, their computer couldn't access UHaul's website to complete reservation. So I tried to do on my phone, but UHaul then said there were no trucks available, so wouldn't let me complete reservation. Kid at desk had to contact his cousin at home to do reservation on his laptop. 45 min delay. When we didn't return truck right at planned time, they called complaining that they had another guest waiting. We reminded them that we were delayed 45 min at start, so would be 45 min late returning. Once returned, they gave us a hard time about not refolding all blankets. Never heard of that before. Worst UHaul experience ever.
Ryan FI opted for self check-in via the U-Haul website. I created an account, submitting all of my payment and personal information. When it came time to pick up the truck, the U-Haul website required that I turn on location services. I complied, but the website did not recognize my location and, therefore, would not allow me to check-in. I tried it on another device (again, with location services enabled), with the same result: the U-Haul website could not find my location and would not allow me to finish check-in. When I went into the store, their internet was down and they could not check me in. This all resulted in a 45 minute delay in picking up the truck... which was really stressful, because we had someone watching our children while we were picking up the truck. You MUST improve this part of the self check-in or do not offer this service at all. It was incredibly inconvenient and will weigh on my mind when I need to rent another truck when we move to our permanent residence in 3 months.
