To begin, I had originally set up my Uhaul pickup online and 3 weeks in advance to avoid any kind of headache or confusion. I was to pick up a 20' truck with a car hauler. The day before my pickup, I received a phone call to change my pickup location as the one I requested didn't have the necessary equipment. I confirmed at that time that my drop off would still remain the same and they confirmed. On my day of pickup, I arrived at the location to find the storefront locked and no one inside. I walked around back and followed the marajuana smell where I found the Uhaul Rep lounging with some guys in a garage. He got up and asked me to meet him back around front where he would unlock the building. Once inside the storefront, the Uhaul Rep had stated that his computer only had 5% battery and we "would have to make this quick." During the paperwork, I stated multiple time that I would be dropping the truck off at an alternate location as I had requested weeks prior and he stated "That it wont be an issue." The truck and trailer were clean and fantastic. I had absolutely no issues with the equipment rented. During my drop-off, the location was closed so I followed the link from my confirmation email and the dropoff process seemed easy. It was a Saturday afternoon and the location didnt reopen until Monday. Monday morning comes and I get a call from the pickup location asking if I had the keys to the truck and trailer. I reminded him that my drop off location was different and stated that the keys were in the appropriate lockbox. I sent my original confirmation email and a picture of the truck where it had been parked. The receipt came late Monday and now I'm being charged and additional $180 for dropping the truck off in the wrong location.
