Self check in process was easy online. Gave 3 stars because once arriving, the place was so cluttered . We could not see service rep over the counter. The gentleman had to announce his presence. However, they were very helpful and nice.

The van I rented on June 6th at 1911 Dort Hwy, Flint, MI was filthy dirty inside and outside. Inside the cargo area of the vehicle I found a wheel/tire along with the jack left behind. I was ashamed to drive such a dirty vehicle and had to wash it myself. I did not see this equipment until I stopped 25 miles away. When I made the phone reservation via the national phone number I was never informed of the $100.00 collision damage waiver. The speedometer displayed multiple safety /service notices on the screen. The employees were professional and courteous during both the pickup and drop off of the vehicle. I have rented Uhaul equipment in the past and have never felt so displeased with the equipment and hidden fees that made me feel like I was totally deceived. Michael J. Kish

At first glance of the store manager he was a fast talker would over talk you and when I made mention of his store smelling of marijuana he didn't care and fastly said its legal and seemed bothered I made mention of it. I also asked him why my truck pickup was relocated. He didn't seem to care but advised me he had a reservation for me. I asked again and he again repeated himself on the reservation. I just wanted to know why I wasn't called about the switch instead of email. I just was very unhappy about this experience.

We had one way trip and had a little trouble determining where we were suppose to drop truck off after moving. We chose the closest U-Haul on line but were unable to see email confirming same. Thank you for the service.

The truck had some issues. We knew about the oil light but after packing the truck with vintage furniture in your bleakness the truck roof leaked in just four hours blankets were wet so consequently furniture got wet and window wouldn't roll down properly.

I called to let the location know I was lost trying to return the truck. And due to construction on the Express way had been driven away from my destination and waited for over 10 min for them to even pick up a phone so I could report the issue. And upon arrival had a difficult time finding parking for my other vehicle so I could go inside and finalize my rental and inside there was only one person working. Leaving me waiting for an additional 10 min. Which now brings me to being ONE HOUR LATE. At which point the person working charges me $40 for an entire extra DAY rental.

I locked my keys in the truck while it waa running as u was doing my checkout. Called roadside assistance and was told i was already check out ans roadside assistance wasnt covered sinxe i already did the monile check out. Not happy my optiona where to wait for hours and pay to get it unlocked. After i alrady paid for roadside. Since i had alrady check out, the rep was unable to look up my contract agreement to see if i had assistance.

Trailer was attached to vehicle by lot employee, and I was told it was ready to leave. As soon as I exited the lot, the trailer's tailgate fell open and hit the roadway. Neither side latch was engaged. Equipment was missing tie down rings inside the trailer bed.

Very very poor customer service. A black man was very helpful the day of my rental pickup and also there was a Caucasian man who was very rude the day of my rental pickup. I got into the wrong U-Haul truck , the black man called me back to tell I took the wrong U-Haul.. I returned the U-Haul to get the correct U-Haul , the white man was very rude he came outside cursing at me just very very rude. I was 7 months pregnant at the time and very upset. I will never use U-Haul again. Also my card was consistently charged for unknown costs... no one could tell me why I was charged. And now today!! I am being charged for not returning a U-Haul truck that I don’t have.

make sure that the manager doesn't CHARGE for u for a return for a one way had a Death in the family and returned the rental to the same place and there trying to Charge me for a 1 day rental and the uhaul in Inkster ,MI needed that 10"van i was supposed to drop it off there and now tha manager josh was very un Professional about this,

Worst U-Haul rental ever. Truck barely made it back to location, people receiving truck did not take my complaints seriously, just referred to manager who was not there and did not return my call. I did not get the blankets I ordered or correct dolly and previous person must have hauled a truck of marijuana and all of my daughters furnishings smelled like it afterwards. Had to basically hold the truck in gear with one hand and drive with other. I have rented a lot of uHauls but this was worst experience to date. I asked to be contacted, I was not. I also was charged for more gas than was in truck, manager agreed to change amount and did not. I AM NOT HAPPY WITH RENTAL OR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Truck was good. It did have some glass in the back when I picked it up and smelled like bug killer. I was surprised by how much my total bill was after dropping off the truck. Almost $170 to rent it for a day? The truck was clean and empty when I returned it.

Poor experience with online reservation. I reserved a 10’ truck from the Lapeer rd location successfully online. Received a call the next day that that location didn’t have the truck but the one 7 miles further did. Fine, I guess. Asked if they would cover the extra miles, of course not. Then I focus to pick up the truck on the following day only to find out that this location didn’t have a 10’ truck either. The clerk did offer to upgrade to the 15’ at no additional charge. At least I still got a truck but why couldn’t the Lapeer rd location do the same thing. The way I figure it, I spent around $15 extra dollars in gas and mileage without any compensation. Why allow me to reserve a truck at both locations when the truck isn’t available in the first place? Mistakes happen, I get it but I shouldn’t have paid out of pocket for that mistake.

I called before picking up and the gentleman on the phone was very professional and answered all my questions. My Mom did the pick up and drop off and had a very smooth and satisfying experience. Note: my Mom can be difficult to please. The gentleman at the store did an excellent job!

I am still waiting for my refund for 3 of my 4 U-box containers being 5 days late. Can't get any straight answers on the phone, everyone sends me to another person. Also, at each pick up and delivery it took approximately 2 hours before we could leave and that was with an appointment!

The only thing I could think of to improve on would be to hire more employees like the manager Josh. Josh was very helpful, took his time with each customer to make sure they were taken care of and had everything they needed despite being short staff it appeared. All employees I interacted with there were wonderful and very helpful.

The trailer had a broken wooden rail on the inside. It did not impact my use. The site I picked it up from recognized the damage prior to rental and I was not charged. Everything went well except for the very poor quality u-haul trailer ball mount I purchased. The square tube shank that slides into the vehicle's receiver hitch was significantly undersized and rocked around making a LOT of noise for the the 1300 mile round trip. Very disappointed in the craftsmanship of these products.
