The truck I rented was very dirty the steering when was black on the hands, I cleaned it and the filthy steering wheel. The seat where dirty and again after I cleaned it black residue came off. The smell was of a man who didn't bathe for days! It made me sick especially when the heat hit it. Whoever cleaned this truck needs to quit being lazy in this day of COVID too.MARGO H.

Well its impossible to get a hold of anyone when calling this location and the guy who i returned the truck to was wearing cut off shorts that were shredded and you could see all of his underwear it was so bad I questioned whether he actually worked there or if he was just off the street.Anthony S.

The two gentlemen working the location were very nice and happy to answer any questions. They were professional and made this part of the process smooth and easy. Based on how great they were, I would come back to this location and hope the vehicle is serviced. What was not great at all was the van we rented. It went smooth for the first part of our trip, though the warning that traction needed to be serviced was not a good sign. The ABS light would flash on occasionally as well. I did not think much of it since when we were doing the first part of our job, the van was running just fine. It was not until the second part that was a tad scary and I should have called U-Haul at once...though with half the job done we just wanted to finish and be done. During the last hour of the rental, the wheels would lock up and at times the gas would not even work as we drove through town to pickup stuff for our house. A couple of times we had to pull over and put hazard lights on since the gas was not working and the ABS lights were on. We did get our work done and made it safely back to the U-Haul location...albeit a scare along the way. I did inform the person at the location and they would take a look at what the issue was, hopefully that is solved for the next person renting the van.Travis K.

The tires were extremely bald. I had the tread fly off about 2 hours into my trip and had to stop to get it changed. The other tire was also extremely bad and needed to be replaced.DONNA T.
Very unhappy with Uhaul, went to new location at Dakota Ridge Littleton Co. made reservations for a car hauler and made it clear I wanted to pick up and drop off at that location. Told yes, then emailed me telling me to go to another location. Walked back inside to clearly say no that wouldn't work. Was told by the manager she will fix it. Couple days went by and I thought I should add another day to the rental and called the number on website for location and phone not in service. Went next day after work to see about adding the extra day, was told no problem can do. I again stressed I will pick up from this location and was told no problem it's all good to go. Show up on day to pick up trailer and was told to go to other location. I lost 2 hours with doing this after I had made 3 attempts to make crystal clear what I wanted to do. What is Uhaul going to do for me on my wasted time??? Answer is not a dam thing. The guy who helped me at second location did what he could to help and I thanked him for doing so. But I got on the road much later than I wanted to, and used up more fuel than I wanted. Gas is around $4.00 a gal these days and I don't like wasting it!! I'll wait for your reply. MikeMike W.

This locationâ€¦EXCELLENT! I needed flexibility because of issues from trying to move. My apartments changed everything on me, but the U-Haul people were exceptional in their help and understanding. The truck seemed to have issues shifting gears and the seatbelt warning was flashing the whole time despite me being buckled. The AC would not work while accelerating either. The staff was very friendly and the truck was very clean!Paige L.

The experience was very easy overall. The only thing I would recommend is warning customers that are getting trailers to bring some dead weight with them so the trailer has something to weigh it down when it is not loaded up.DANIEL T.

Please have vehicle ready with at least 3/4 tank of gas for pickup... having just above 1/4 tank forced me to fill up first to make sure I had enough gas to get to destination... and inevitably overpay because i had to guess on fuel efficiency. Would have been 5 stars if not for thisJESSE A.

We were charged $25 for cleaning in spite of the fact that the truck was clean when we returned it. We did not smoke or drink in it and the bed was clean when we left it with you. I thought this was going to lead me to the bill because I would like to see it and have it for my records. Instead I got this review. I have made multiple attempts to obtain a copy of the bill both with the rental store and with corporate but have been unsuccessful because you aren't able to answer the phone or find my invoice. We had them do our pre inspection before driving out to Iowa to pickup the trailer and our college graduates stuff. They didn't do a proper inspection as the wiring was not working at pick up. The guy here just looked at it and said it was good to go. Too lazy to actually test it properly. Thankfully the Iowa City Uhaul was able to fix us up despite being very busy.MICHAEL M.

The truck was filthy. Covered in dog hair, spilled drinks and even an open Ramen bag under the seat. I alerted the agent and she wiped it down, but I still had to sanitize it before starting my trip. I checked the tire pressures and one tire was 60psi, I do not think this location did anything to check this vehicleLisa W.
Was told at drop off, that I dropped at 230 not 430, like I had said at first and I drove less miles than predicted, I would get an email with receipt and adjusted mileage. 2 days later I have not gotten final receipt. Dont know if I was charged correctly or not. Very pleasant rental otherwise, no complaints.Bill L.

Broken mirror on truck, parked in a very close row and I was asked to pull it out. I would not and the young lady pulled it out for me. Truck was clean and I had no problems with it. The staff was very nice and polite, but this was not a good rental experience. Truck only had half a tank of gas, when I tried to call the location could not talk to anyone, rerouted, waited 11 min. on hold only to be told no can not do that. Drove to location and what I needed was available and taken care of, should have been able to talk to someone at Garrison location. Have rented a truck the same time every year for 6 years with exception to Covid year. Customer service has gone way down.DENISE M.

I originally booked my uhaul pickup for a location on S Broadway. The online reservation immediately rebooked to the Santa Fe location where my rental wasn't showing up. The employees redirected me to the Lakewood uhaul. The experience was a bit frustrating through no fault of the employees as my issues were all with the booking system of uhaul. All the employees I worked with who did their best to ensure I still had a vehicle were to be commended. And the employees as the Lakewood store we're very courteous and professional.Suzette G.

Assist your customers by providing more space to "back in a trailer" in the spaces your want it parked. The "Return Equipment Area" was extremely crowded with other returned equipment making it extremely difficult to place the trailer where to employee wanted it returned.WILLIAM F.

I was told I would have a specific size of trailer and then it was not available. I had to move up to the next size up which was more expensive. Next I was told that of I brought the trailer back on a certain day earlier that I had it rented for I would receive a refund but this did not happen.Jerry H.

your system lies to everyone about availability, says it has trailers at a location, that it doesn't. says it has moving dolly's to reserve , and they don't. I would of showed up at a location at 8 in the morning ready to pick up and go to work, luckily I checked to find out, that location did not have what I needed. all the employees at different locations admitted the system lies to everyone.....Karma , it goes for big business as well.NICHOLAS L.

We rented our trailer on 5:30 Friday afternoon. By 6:30 am Saturday morning the workers were already calling us saying we were late on our return. We were sleeping. They didn't call just once. They called 6 strait timesâ€¦ I then answered and informed them we would be late. Throughout the day their workers called over 30 times. We turned trailer in around 7:30 Saturday night. I'm ok and was ok with being charged another $25 dollars! I definitely would not recommend this place to anyone. It felt like they use there trailers for homes.Destiny S.
