The final drop off location wasn't bad. And by that point of frustration would have taken anywhere. Because my ride had to get going and had already taken an hr longer than it should have. See above about original location and secondary location couldn't take truck. But the service tech here was courteous and helpful and was able to get me checked in without a problemToby M.

There are many things you can do to improve the rental experience. For starters, it would be helpful if the online reservation system explicitly states that the reservation is for whatever trailer is available, and not the specific trailer you are requesting, I reserved a 4'x8' cargo trailer 10 days in advance. On the day before my reservation, I received an email stating that the only available cargo trailer for me was a 6'x12' trailer. If I wanted a 12' trailer, I would have reserved one. I replied to the email and responded that this extra large trailer was not going to work for me. I received another email stating that the trailer size I requested is available at a location approximately one hour away from my house. I replied to that email saying the LOCATION was unacceptable and I wanted the trailer size I requested, or the next larger size, A few minutes later, I received another email, stating my trailer was available at the same location, one hour away. So I called the local rental office, and I sat on hold for 10 minutes. I then called the customer service phone number in the confirmation email, and sat on hold for another 10 minutes. While sitting on hold, I submitted another change request online, and received a message saying there was an unknown error, and to try again later. I tried 5 or 6 more times, and received the same error message. Later that evening, I received multiple emails from the reservation system telling me that my trailer was ready for me, at the SAME location, one hour away. The next morning, while trying to figure out how to fix this mess, I received a call from a woman who works at the location in Fond du Lac, where my trailer was waiting. I told her I did not have two hours to drive, and I would not be coming to pick up the trailer. I then described my situation to her, and she suggested I call the regional office near my house, to see if they could help me. I called that phone number and explained my circumstances a second time. The woman on the phone said she would see what she could do. In the end, a 12' cargo trailer was my only option, and she offered that at the original rate of the small trailer. So, I told her that would have to do, since I needed to start loading that morning, so my daughter and I could leave for St. Louis early the next day. I had no option, nor did I have time to find a trailer from another rental company.MARC O.

My drop off location was also changed multiple times from our original chosen location and then also learned the day of drop off it was switched after I talked to a 1-800 person and had it changed to where we picked it up from. Got a call while driving to drop location and told to take it to a different location. To many changes to my original reservation. Very unhappy about the confusion to my reservation. I verbally told the person with the original reservation what we needed the truck for and where we were taking the truck. Changing a reservation and not notifying or confirming it with the client is very wrong. I don't think a person should have to keep logging onto their reservation to see that you keep changing things on them. I have rented prior and never had any problem with my reservation. Customer service terrible communication very rude they give truck out with hardly and gas when I brought back the truck and asked the manager to add up my mileage he refused told me I should've checked the truck out before I lefted. I told him this was my first time renting one and no one did a walk through with me just had me sign write away I used your truck twice and I will never again come back management really need some training and the customer service as wellCALANDRA P.

I had booked this appointment over a couple of weeks in advance for a hitch installation. When I arrived, I had to wait 35 minutes until I was finally served; they acknowledged me but was unable to actually start helping me. The appointment was booked over the phone via the general U-Haul number not this particular store. I chose this store because they had a particular bike rack available in the store. Upon checking the store did not have the bike rack available and they were unsure whether or not they had all the hitch materials available in the store for my vehicle. Luckily they did have them available. They were unsure when the bike rack would be coming to the store as they could not track it; they only knew that it was shipped 9 days ago. The truck wouldn't go out of I think it was second gear for about 2 to 3 miles of my 40 mile trip. It was at about 3200 rpm and 30 mph. I had it in drive. Also, the check engine light was on after the first few miles. I would take it to a mechanic if it was my truck. The service was excellent tho.THOMAS G.

The staff was rude upon arrival and overwhelmed throughout the entire process. I couldn't get the app to work to check-in, so I went inside to ask for assistance and immediately was told, "we're booked, so I can't help you" and once I told her that we had a reservation, she finally helped check us in. Upon returning the truck, they were again overwhelmed and told us to just give them the keys and they would email us the receipt later. When I got the receipt, there were extra charges that shouldn't have been on there. I have never had this poor of an experience at any other U-haul location.JAN B.

I didn't have a problem with the location other than the fact that there is no parking in the lot. However, the online process to obtain the van outside of business hours was horrible! I had a pick up time of 6am and I had to list two people to call before I could be approved. We'll, you can imagine that it took awhile when most people are sleep and get a call from a 1-80] number. Someone need to make sure all trucks are properly functioning before renting out. This particular truck I rented did not have A/C. When you turned the A/C on it was burning, so I had to ride with the windows down while it was 90 degrees. Also I could not drive over 40mph on the highway because the truck needs a wheel alignment. It was hard to steer the truck and I was swerving all over the road. Upon returning Joseph was a big help and said he would get it checked out.LATOYA T.
