I have used this location many times. It is less than a mile from me. Always friendly and helpful despite being in a marginal location (high crime). The girl from Alabama was especially friendly and helpful. Great experience, as always.

Make sure that your customers information is not mixed up. Because I didn't receive the truck that I reserved because my information was mixed with another customer. My name is Glenda Whitt an the customer that got the truck that I reserved name was Whitney Hayden. You all sent me an email using Whitney's name. So my phone number and email was added to someone else account. This thrower me behind in trying to move cause there were no more 15 feet trucks. That's what I made reservations for. I had concerns about the billing and I had concerns about the climate of the storage unit. I was expecting the rate from the other unit. The unit was priced high because of the space. The consumer should have saved. I had issues with getting my things out of the storage unit after hours. I feel it was an inconvenience for the consumer.

The employee who assisted me was wonderful. She was knowledgable and helpful. It seemed like she was the only one working and there were multiple customers so there was a bit of a wait. Also, I had to go to three different locations (this was the third) to get my reservation fulfilled. I ended up with a positive experience but wish the Uhaul website had directed me here first rather than to locations that could not fulfill my order.

The delivery of the u-boxes to the Atlanta address was very late and caused me to be late when I was leaving. They also only came one at a time and severely delayed the moving company as well. There were also far fewer furniture pads than were promised. However, all of my good arrived on time.

Very courteous & professionals she explained instructions in detail and found a location closer to me that I could drop off within 24 hrs which was highly convenient. She was a rockstar that day. This was a horrible experience. I've used u haul several times before and have never had anything like this happen, nor did I even think this was a thing that could happen: I was scheduled to pick up a truck at 8am from a location that was about 3 minutes from my house. I pulled into the parking lot, opened my reservation to check in on my phone, only to see that my pickup location had been moved. Not only was it moved, but it was moved to somewhere that was about an hour away from my house, which is even farther than the distance of my entire move. As we were on a very specific time crunch and had movers coming to assist us, I didn't have time to spend 2 hours picking up a truck that should've been at the location i ordered it from in the first place. I called customer service and was placed on hold for over 25 minutes. I also initiated chat on the website but never got a response. When someone finally answered the phone, she was pretty rude and unhelpful and she told me that it stated in the contract that they could just change the pickup location at any time. That's a ridiculous and horribly inconvenient policy, but whatever. This is an incredibly important piece of information to know. I'm guessing about 2% of people, if that, read the entire contract before signing, especially when it's online, so the fact that this very very important piece of information was snuck somewhere in the fine print is insane. If u haul can change your reservation at any time to a location that's an hour away, that policy should be in bold writing, right in the middle of the page. Ridiculous policy aside, the biggest issue was that I was never notified of this change. I found out the morning of. The rude woman with customer service said "well someone should've called or emailed you about the change" that never happened. I was never notified that my pickup location was moved over an hour away last minute. I checked on my reservation the night before my scheduled pickup as well just to make sure I didn't need to do anything else, and the correct pickup location was still listed. So sometime between about 8pm the night before, and 8am the morning of, the truck I was supposed to pick up just disappeared and apparently wasn't available at any other locations except for one that was an hour away. Again, I was never notified of this change. We called about getting at least a partial refund for having gone through this massive inconvenience that messed up our entire scheduled moving day, but was told there was nothing they could do. The next time I move I will not be using u haul. This was such a disappointing and frustrating experience. The fact that I wasn't notified of this last minute change is the worst part. It seems like a stupid policy to begin with, but not notifying people that their reservation has suddenly changed and they will now have to drive an hour to pick up their truck is just negligent. I probably wouldn't have gone to the trouble of writing this review if we had gotten some sort of refund or even an apology and a promise to do better, but we received neither of those things. Do better.

The drop off was a disaster. Just as l wrote above for the initial pick up of the truck and tow dolly/ trailer. Nothing went smoothly. Lost another days work just trying to drop off my truck and dolly. You switched up my drop place to a location in a Horrible neighborhood. To a place that had an office that was not attended. Yet was broken into ransacked. Parking area that is wide open. No fenced area to protect tour equipment. What company does that ? I atleast look to protect your equipment. So l tried to and lost my days work because l had to search for a place & still had drop off issues. Am paying for a move one way and lost income because of Uhaul inability to function as a Company!

I understand that the trucks were going fast and they were busy. The employee did clean the trailer out after we saw that it was dirty, but I cleaned and sanitized the cabin out myself. Also, the air stopped working halfway through my trip, making it really uncomfortable for travel to my destination.

Post signs pointing to the trailer drop-off area, since it's a bit hidden in behind a bunch of storage and parking areas. The person on staff (unfortunately did not catch his name) was extremely helpful though and deserves a raise.

I've rented from this location previously as well and the manager there is just awesome! She remembered me and took care of my return immediately upon arrival. I mentioned to her how the pick-up experience had gone and she was disappointed to hear I was told to hook it up by myself. She looked at it and gave me some pointers for safety precautions to take next time should I ever find myself in a similar situation- things like cross the chains so that if something bad happens and for some reason the trailer comes off the ball, if it his the ground the chains will help absorb that impact, otherwise the trailer could flip up and strike my vehicle. She has always been very thorough, and honestly, if it wasn't for having watched her intently the last time I rented from y'all (at this location), I would never have known exactly how to do it by myself at that gas station in NC. She truly saved me!

The experience I had today was terrible at the McDonough rd 30315 location. U-Haul need to move the pick up location for one way trucks. The store clerk that hold the key for the truck is rude and not helpful. In the future I will rent from a different company

I reserved a 10' truck to be picked up in Atlanta 2 weeks in advance. 2 days before the date, U haul changed the pick up location necessitating a 3 mile walk through a very dangerous, high crime neighborhood. They changed the pick up time from 1 pm to 10 am without telling me. When I arrived, (1 pm) the place was locked. (That's right! in the middle of a work day - Padlocked! ) By the time I found another location, I was out 40 dollars for a cab ride and had lost several hours. Because of this, I missed a business appointment later that day. A U-haul employee named Kenya was very helpful in finding alternative arrangements, but when I arrived to pick up the truck, all they had was a 26 ' truck which was way too big. I had arranged for a smaller truck but I was charged for the larger truck. (Kenya said they would not do that). The U-haul employee at the pick up location spent 15-20 minutes hanging out with her boy friend outside while I waited for her to get the truck. I had to go get her and remind her that I needed the truck now. Everything distracts this girl - EVERYTHING! - It took her more than half an hour to get me the truck. U-Haul dropped the ball, , , I was over charged, and under served, U-Haul's incompetence cost me time and money!

Y'all cancelled my first reservation then refused to give me my $50 reservation Guarantee. This doesn't reflect at all on 2866 Forest dr because the lady at the counter was absolutely amazing but whoever effed up my appointment put her through a lot of bs on the computer.
