Friendly staff and convenient location , but I was overcharged for 4 gallons of gasoline due to incorrect reading of the meter. I drove 13 miles total and refilled with 2 gallons before returning. The bay of the truck was also not cleaned out before the rental.ALASTAIR C.

The station manager (I think his name is Hobgood) called me an asshole and idiot. He came out from his room where he was taking a nap because I raised my voice on another customer who kept needling me and trying to get ahead of me to get checked out by the rep. He came after me and refused to wait his turn because he claimed he was in a hurry and had things to go do, but so did I. Anyway, the manager came out and immediately took sides because he saw a dark-skinned man (me) arguing with a â€œwhiteâ€ person. And he went ahead and checked out the other guy who had come there after me. He also told me I could take my rental or notâ€¦ that he did not care. And he had actually rented out one of the 2 vans I had reserved. I had to make do with 1.UNYIME O.

Door was jammed that allowed access into building after putting in code. Was also told bathrooms inside building were only for the office renters, which is bad when we were moving in the hot sun, no bathroom until they agreed to allow my family access. Following week when i came to gather items, code is not working to allow me access to my unit, called the Tenant Judy but her number is invalid. 30 min later im on hold with customer service and its getting dark so ill try again tomorrow. I also saw a med size brown roach crawl into another large unit under the door of unit. The app is a little confusing to use. Tried to use upon pick up but was an hour past my pick up time. The office person. Once they showed up, said the app doesn't work if you aren't on time. That would have been good to know on my third attempt to log in. Then upon return the app worked great but there is a little confusion when dropping the key in the lockbox. It said before you drop your keys to go to U-Haul.com/shrare which I assume is the app. It was a little unclear. I had already received my invoice. I went into the office which was about to close to verify the vehicles return & the office clerk said that it hadn't been checked in. The computers lag behind the app evidently. I was supposed to pick up the truck at 8 AM in a person-less pick-up. When I got to the site at 8 AM, I was informed that I would have to wait for in-person pick-up at 9 AM. I called U-haul's customer service number only to sit on the phone for 35 minutes before giving up. Finally, the U-haul person did not arrive until after 9:10 to open up the store. She said that the reason why my truck changed to in-person pick-up is that the U-haul person forgot to set-up the key the previous night. These multiple errors and delays messed up my day and my family's day completely. There needs to be better customer service from a local and a corporate standpoint.John S.

The U-Haul experience can be hit or miss. Today I went to 2 new locations (new for me, that is). At the Beltway 8 & Westheimer location, the gentleman ( I didn't really get his name) found me a pickup close by, when none came up online for me earlier. His partner was very nice also. Get better vans. The chevy I drove had an alignment issue and fuel gauge issue. It was also very uncomfortable and too tall. It would not clear my 7ft apt complex garage entrance. I was overcharged for gas bc even though the fuel tank showed full when I picked it up, it was not full and I ended up filling it up more than I should have had to. This was not my scheduled location. I rented a one-way vehicle for the Westpark location for Monday 12/14. Nationwide website outage caused us not to be able to pick up the vehicle on that day. I called and rescheduled for Thursday 12/17 to pick up at Westpark location but was called when I was 20 minutes away to say that there were no vehicles there and I had to go to old Katy road. UNACCEPTABLE to be called when in route!!!!Felix G.

I like that it was cheap to rent but then they tack on .89 per mile and that adds up to a lot of your moving. I had it 4 hours and was charged $80.00 now that did include $14.99 for insurance. I only drove 36 total miles, stick to Budget truck rental, never again.JAMES DARREN K.

Judi and James are easy to work with. I have been trying to get into this location for over a year. The old management said they wrote my name down and would call as soon as a space was available. Through out the year i noticed that several spaces had become available and rented without any one contacting me. I first met Judi and James their first week on the job.
