There were four people behind the desk, one person was on the phone and it wasn't business related for the 15+ minutes I waited in line. One person was working with the customers and was very professional and enjoyable to work with; one young lady stood around and watched the lady on the phone and walked about as slowly as possible without actually stopping; the other guy was working in and out of the yard and asked the 6+ customers in line if he could help. So 50/50: Extremely helpful and extremely not helpful - as a former manager, I am not sure what value added the tall, young lady was as other than smiling, she did exactly nothing the 15+ minutes I was there while the other young lady did all the work. I rented my unit (at 1030pm) and was advised it is ready to move in TODAY. This was very convenient for what proclaimed to be "My 24/7 storage facility". Upon arrival, the access number did not work and I could not access my unit (just hours after I secured it). After travelling 2+ hours to unload and store my goods, I was left at the gate locked out with no support after hours. I called every number that was posted for after hours support and no support was to be had. I left roughly 6 voicemails and never received a call back. I finally reached someone at Uhaul Cust Svc, but they said 'only someone at the sight can get me access'. So i was unable to unload my goods after waiting onsite for over an hour looking for help. Most ridiculous from this snafu, is that 'My 24/7 storage facility' was CLOSED. Nowhere EVER did it ASK if after hours access was needed, nor did it advise there is a "PREMIUM" for this service.Andrew E. | Online Move In

That was super annoying, better advertising and more informed employees would be helpful. Please understand It is nothing against any one. Ok but being I am a business analyst I need to do this review. Main issue is customers have to Wait long time in the lobby. When an agent calls us mostly they say they can not help and as they are not trained and only manager can do it. Then they sends text to manager and says manager is in the office but busy. And customer have to wait. And wait and wait. So it is not efficient. They have to be more accountable and transparent of utilization of work hours in order to help customers faster and better. Time is the essence for any one. I am giving a bold and honest feedback since you asked me. I hope it is not going to deprive me of my future rental needs. Just one suggestion. The Uhaul facility at 9505 N Florida Ave needs a sign stating that the office is located at 10145 N. Florida Ave 3 blocks away. On that sign you need directions on how to get to the office at 10145 N. Florida Ave. Actually the sign could read head north past two traffic lights, after the second traffic light look to the right and the office will be there. Only 3 blocks away. I know this may seem petty, but you wouldn't believe all of the people that I have encountered at the 9505 N Florida facility looking for the office.PHILIP B. | Overall Experience

Dayna was a rock star for me and my family. The truck broke down and she did everything within her power to accommodate me. She was knowledgeable about all service's offered in my time of need. The website as well as the paperwork they gave me when I got there stated that you have 24 hour access. I was told I only have access through 10pm. I pointed out that the website and the paperwork say 24 hour access. They said there was nothing we could do and to call/email the manager. They gave me her card. When I called the cell phone number on the card and went through the prompts, the message said that they could not help me and that my number would be blocked. I made a reservation a bit more then a month prior to my move an picking up the truck was fine but then returning it was a hassle. I went to 3 different locations, the first 2 were closed an did not have storage on site as I reserved prior. I was upset driving around trying to find a location with both storage an rental drop off . Beverly was Amazing an super helpful an patient. I had a safe stolen from my storage facility, which I was given a number to call. I hope there was video. Also the movers we hired off of UHAUL website (which are 3rd party, but promoted by UHAUL, did severe damage to many items. I have pictures I will be getting with UHAUL on. To be clear it was Christmas Eve when we moved out, will contact UHAL Monday. I will update review after speaking with UHAUL. Cleaning ladies are inefficient and ineffective. Always taking breaks and lousy at cleaning the bathroom. Went into the bathroom after it was just cleaned and slipped, nearly did the splits, and fell to the floor on the soaking wet floor from the mopping that was done. When my reservation for the storage unit with accepted, there was no instructions as to what I needed to do to activate it as checked in and where to go, as my chosen location was a remote storage facility. It took almost an hour to get everything straight and have access to the unit. Better communication from U-Haul would be beneficial. The mobile pickup is terrible. I spent 30 minutes waiting for the approval. I tried the chat and got no response. I called the number and was on hold the entire time. I was on my way to another location (with a person) when the approval finally went through.Peter D.
This has nothing to do with location. This has all to do with the terrible automated system. Scheduling the truck online is a breeze but the pick up is the worst and most cumbersome thing ever. I checked in around 9:15 or so and sat there waiting until almost 9:50 !!!!! Way too long, I'm sure a live person could have gotten me out of there quicker and much more efficiently. The whole account verification deal while we are sitting there waiting to pick up the truck doesn't make sense. It easily could be done before hand. The whole process should not take more than 15 minutes or so, you have to remember what people using your trucks for.....which is moving right....so people are on a time schedule and need to get stuff done...in a hurry. Thanks will definitely look for another location next time that has a live person.Lawrence L.

The experience was not with the location it was with Uhaul itself. I placed my reservation one week in advance but on the day of pickup all kinds of bad things went wrong.
