Both people I dealt with were great! The first woman checking me in for the trailer pick up was super nice and helpful.. As well as the second woman who helped me when returning the trailer. Despite it raining she was helpful with a good sense of humor. Both girls were also seemingly working alone and pretty busy.

Mikalea WMy trailer I reserved was not at the downtown location I selected (because it was more convenient to get in and out of that location). I got sent to the Coldwater Rd location to get a trailer. Then the Coldwater rd location told me I could not take the trailer back to the downtown one without being charged $100. U-Haul reservation is “guaranteed or we owe you $50”. A joke. I’ve never had an issue with U-Haul until now.

TERRY JImprove the speed of the computers. They seem to be very slow. The staff works hard to serve but seem greatly slowed by the tech. When I checked in there was two customers being served and seven waiting.
BERNARD LOur original reservation was in Nee Haven, IN. The person who does UHaul there was in the hospital and nobody else could help. Besides the fact they didn’t even have the trailer. Our pick up was at 4:00, we were slightly early, luckily. The. We were sent to downtown Ft. Wayne because they supposedly had one. Nope, but they made us a new reservation, called up north and made sure they had what we needed. Onto the third location on Coldwater Rd. We arrived just before 5:00. Luckily we’re weren’t much later as places would have been close and we would have been screwed!! Finally got the trailer after an hour run around from the original location. Overall it was a very frustrating experience!

JASON SI've used this location several times in the past, and generally, it is great. This Saturday had some issues. First, they often seem to be understaffed on Saturdays. There was a line of 8 people waiting to check out or return equipment. 25 minute wait. Then, the first trailed that I was assigned was not found on the lot. Christy quickly changed it to another trailer. We got it hooked up, but half the lights did not work. So, we had to switch to a third trailer. That one was great. Nice, new, and clean.

Kris F2 employees working. 1 seemed to know what to do, the other appeared clueless. I waited around 30 minutes with only 2 people in front of me. When I finally got in my uhaul the passenger side windrow was left partially down so my wife had to use her coat to dry the seat from the rain. The fuel gauge on the paper is not an accurate representation of the gauge in the truck. The paper looked to be between 3/4 and full and the truck was closer to 3/4. I returned the truck with more fuel than when I got it only to receive an email later with the final invoice showing that they said they added 4 gallons of fuel. If you look at the milage, I only put 17 miles on that truck and added 2 gallons of gas before dropping it off. I will never use this location again and will tell anyone and everyone that mentions uhaul about this experience.
Travis MThe truck was extremely worn. In addition, an unsecured furniture mover and dolly were both left in the truck from the previous rental.
DARRELL AOur 24/7 pickup was not ready, customer service told us they did not put the truck key in the key box. She said I would get the $50 guarantee applied to my rental. Had to wait an hour for the center to open. Then we went completely through the contract and ran the charges. Only then did they inform me that they could not rent to ME because SOMEONE ELSE owed them money. After taking care of the outstanding charges for the other person, we had to go through the whole process again. The $50 guarantee was never applied to the rental rate. When I mentioned the promise to the staff, she said she couldn't do it. When we found our truck, the equipment we ordered was not in the truck, so we had to go find it. We needed to adjust the mirrors, but they would not move, even after 3 people tried. Not a safe driving condition! The staff marked the gas tank as half full on the contract , it was not!! Was significantly below half tank. We finally left the center 2 HOURS later than we should have, which made us late for every subsequent event we had planned that day. What can you do to improve for the next customer? Be more diligent in your 24/7 preps, and keep your promises.

DEPRINCIA NNot clear where to go for truck rentals. Staff was friendly but missed a few important details of how the following 24 hrs would work (card hold vs actual invoice, text to reply on condition of vehicle before leaving, etc.). Truck windshield was a mess inside, large dent in passenger door not noted, otherwise ok. System was down upon return so had to wait for final invoice until today. All worked out. Would be tough to 'recommend'.

CRAIG EThe only issue I’ve ever had with this particular U-Haul location is just that it’s in a weird spot to get to! Not much is able to be fixed about that. Other than that, my experience was incredibly easy. Megan helped me secure a 10 foot truck without any prior reservation well under 10 minutes and was very personable. While walking in, I was also impressed by how well organized the store was!
Alex LI wanted to get my 20 ft truck at the Lima rd.location but Indianapolis headquarters said that it couldn’t be delivered there even though I reserved it 2 weeks ahead. They said I had to use the Coldwater location. This was not convenient for me. When I went to the Coldwater location the dolly and appliance cart I reserved were not available, the first truck ran rough and engine light was on. They encouraged me to take it anyway. I asked for a replacement which ran well but left oil stains on the driveway of both moving locations. The manager was helpful but there are some issues that need addressed.
ROBERT Ythey took reservation of mine for an appliance dolly but when I came to pick up my truck and equipment, they didn't have any. I said .. but I have a reservation ... they said people don't return them so it's not their fault that they can't fill my reservation. The guy was arrogant and rude about that. They then offered a regular dolly but didn't give it to me free ... even though they let me down on my reservation. Then at drop off there was a line of trucks out onto the street that wasn't moving. I had my wife go in and see if I could just leave the truck. They had 1 person working and said to just leave the keys in the truck and we were good. So I did that but the line was out into a busy street blocking traffic. It was a mess of a situation and I don't think I will ever use this service again.

JIMMIE SMade appointment with main U-Haul phone number and set at Coldwater location. Service set up to include assembly, wiring, bike rack, and adjuster piece and given a quote. Appointment was changed several times, took much longer than stated, bike rack was not put on, they took bike rack off display, never had the adjuster piece (now have to order it separately) and it was $50 more than the original quote.

LANCE KWhen approaching from the North, the first drive and front building could use signage indicating where the main walk in entrance is located. I wasn’t sure and parked up by the trailers as I was picking one up, and then walked around that front building which seems to not be used.

However, in bad weather instead of having renters go find their own trucks which have icy windshields with no ice scrapers, all vehicles should have been taken care of and pulled up for the customer. Additionally, I was very concerned that the check engine light was on but was told "oh we just can't get them to shut off sometimes." ... I had a long trip ahead of me and that made me anxious the entire time that I would have it break down. It ran fine, but it was worrisome. The cupholders were a dirty mess. Otherwise everything else was great. Online drop off was easy.
JENNIFER WReserved a 15' truck to help with a local move. That option was not available but was offered either a 26' truck or Cargo van as alternatives. Took the cargo van option which got the job done.

HARRIETT HThis has truly been my worst U-Haul experience ever. The evening picking up a 15 foot box should be a 15 foot box not a 15 foot truck and box. OK whatever go to the truck, truck doesn’t even start and it’s covered in over an inch of snow and ice. OK I really look at the truck. It’s not gonna be big enough. I need 15 feet. It wasn’t there. Luckily they hadn’t locked the door yet, but technically they were closed. The people there were very helpful. I will say that. Nothing against them. U-Haul in general is who I have better words with. OK so I get a 20 foot truck truck, it is also still covered in an inch of ice you have to scrape the ice off your windshield yourself. You would think if you make a reservation they would prep a truck for you. So needless to say I got dropped off by Uber now the place is closed. I gotta walk a mile down the road to the gas station to buy a ice scraper because now all the employees have left. Let alone it’s 5° outside. I wasn’t fully dressed to be outside scraping ice. Let alone walking in t°. OK I can deal with all of it somehow not really, but I will for the sake of it. Two days later I get it loaded I go on my 900 mile adventure. Needless to say when you get up the speed limit, the truck fights itself left and right. So here I am looking like a drunk driver my whole trip. OK, let’s top that off. There’s a haze on the windshield that you cannot scrub off at all!! Soo here I am severe thunderstorm for 300 miles and I can’t see out the window. I even bought chemicals to try and clean it with no luck. Let alone the windshield wipers completely suck ass and haven’t been changed in I don’t know how long. So needless to say it was a completely miserable trip. A miserable experience. I feel like I should be charging U-Haul for the chaos I had to go through.

Justin A | First Impressions3 weeks into my first month with U-Haul self-storage (which is free if you rent a trailer beforehand and return it) my unit was almost cleared out by the staff. One of the employees didn’t process my storage unit correctly and my name didn’t attach to my unit so they assumed someone came by, put all of there stuff in the unit, and left. They broke my lock on the unit, went through my stuff, found my degree and learned my name but never contacted me. I went in by chance to grab a gaming console I left in MY unit and they were talking about how they had laid claim to all of my stuff and that they planned on clearing it out if I didn’t show up within 72 hours. One of the employees even mentioned she “had dibs on my tv”, I was baffled and they said they’d only give me a month for free. If this is how issues or errors are handled at U-Haul self storage I’ll never be using this again, this experience wasn’t made right in my eyes and after they attempted to sell my unit to someone else? I’m going to recommend my friends and acquaintances that they find a different self storage facility. This experience has upset me and it has added anxiety to an already stressful situation as I had just moved across the country.

I rented a 20 foot truck one way and was supposed to get in writing a free one month storage unit and they gave me a 10 x 10 x 7 where the capacity of the truck exceeded the amount of storage. So, I paid too much money to get the free storage unit that I could not use. Then, I had to use Public Storage not free. And the mileage costs .99 a mile from Uhaul. Now, I have to rent another truck from Uhaul and pay to get my personal property out of Public Storage not free and the mileage adds up. I would like my next rental truck in town free as they gave front loaded me mileage at rate and I paid that I lost out on never using. Theresa Slater 8104445848. Not happy.
