I was refused the rental of a trailer, the worker stated that they were all booked. I went to my truck to reserve a trailer for the day. The website sent me back to this uhaul location. I told them that I was refused a trailer earlier, but there is a trailer available because I just reserved it in the online. They acted like they had no idea.

I been renting with Uhaul over 10 years the day before Thanksgiving I asked for a Uhaul with a ramp to move my home items deep freezer (small) and washer/dryer. I put emphasis on this many times during the conversion but IG with all the noise in the background the representative didn't hear me but no excuse Because I had to communicate in person and I said 10 times I needed a ramp to slide the items off the truck into the storage unit so tell me why when I just called up there Melvin who is finally awake and available tells me that the 10 inch doesn't come with a ramp and the 24 years he been with Uhaul they have never which I know is untrue Because 1 my neighbor got the same 19.95 truck with the blue fish symbol or whatever I got the same truck the day before Thanksgiving instead of him apologizing for the miscommunication he tried to rent me a 15 inch truck for 3 items smh. Also please either retrain the employees because Google and Wrightsboro rd said they have 24/7 access eventhough this location says no Uhaul does this. I will not be renting with Uhaul ever again. The services was mediocre at best, always bums and drunks walking up to me asking do I need help moving, 1 person always working and 5 just sitting around. Loud every time I call. So yeah I'm highly upset truck ending in LV needs tire light check and a ramp light stayed on the whole time and the side passenger mirror wouldn't adjust. I can go on but I was hoping to continue my business today without any issues. Lastly an e-alert was on my account from 3/2025 that should have been taken care of by management aka Melvin in March. Sierra this is no reflection on you but Melvin has highly disappointed I appreciate you and only you!

They gave me a U-Haul truck with a nail in the tire and it was almost flat. I had to stop and pump up the tire, which took around 30 minutes. The gas tank was empty so I had to search for a gas station immediately before running out. Therefore, I was late. I got charged double.

Well I was not aware that I’ll be charged for a dolly for two days and if that is in the procedure, then the rep should display that or let me know that this is per day instead of saying the dolly is to knows that was an unexpected charge for me for two days for $20. I expected only 10 and I was charged 20 so maybe next time on the rep can reiterate or let customers know that this is $10 per day.

I was there on 9/6 and when I received the truck it had a awful smell not only that when I returned it I was charged for gas when I put over what I used back in the tank . The older gentleman who cleans the trucks lied on me and the young lady who works in the front on Gordon highway in Augusta just didn’t want to be at work . This experience with you box containers through Uhaul has been the most excellent service I could have imagined everybody I encountered was pleasant fully knowledgeable, and looked out for my best interest Yesterday I had six containers delivered to my new South Carolina address after dropping them off at Uhaul in Las Vegas then storing them in Augusta Georgia. for 4 months. They were delivered yesterday young lady that drove that big truck that had our containers went above and beyond my imagine, thoughts to ensure those containers came down a very challenging driveway And possibly been a little heavy. She was so professional and laid them out perfectly for I could unload them one after another very easily into my garage one awesome employee you guys need to take very good care of her (advancement) to say the least a very good increase. I’m sure my experience is probably just one of many thank you Uhaul. You save me a ton of money. I’ll highly recommend Uhaul in the future.

Vehicle would not start when stopped at rest area. Had to call for assistance in order to continue trip. When we stopped again we did not turn vehicle off afraid it wouldn't start but this time we had issues trying to put in gear. The next stop we left it on and put in neutral with emergency break in order to proceed with trip. When we made it to destination, we pulled in instead of backing in and put vehicle in park and it wouldn't move, which made unloading very disappointing. We didn't attempt to move again until next morning upon returning to drop off sight. Very disappointed with trip.

The dollies wheel barely rolled, the secured doors rarely worked, stranger had easy access to the building with an security card. The store did not inform me they change the access hour to reflect the store hours. The information on your website is very misleading.

The workers were taking their time with customers, they took over an hour to complete getting my storage unit assigned. One of the two employees started they didn't have access to deal with any storage units when they have over 800, even though he's been employed there for over 2 months. They said there was no storage lots for the size I had reserved. They required more phone numbers than other locations and more than mandatory on the U-haul's booking site. Worst customer service I've delt with in over a decade. 10/10 would not recommend this U-haul location. Due to employees incompetence the owner forced them to work overtime to rectify poor customer service.

During the period of storage there was an extended lighting issue in the back hall where my unit was located. While it did make it difficult to see without a flashlight on several occasions, the manager explained the difficulty they were having with getting it fixed. Sounded like it was outside of his control, at least to some degree. I can't hold that against them. The manager (and the staff) have always been communicative, courteous, and helpful when I've needed them.

Overall it was okay booking the unit. It’s always a line and you always have to stand and wait. They’ll hound you about rent but once you pay it. You’ll have to ask them to take the lock off. The manager made a comment that if I paid my rent on time it wouldn’t have a lock. Considering I pay late fees included. Online says 24 hours access. However when you go you cannot get in past 7:30p and the managers reason is “the area” they are in is why it’s not 24 hours. Which is why I moved my stuff to another storage. So that’s contradicting and you still have to pay the full price for the unit. Overall everyone else was okay. They need air in those areas or a fan. It’s 95 degrees outside and inside. No I’d never rent another unit with uhaul. Especially with this management there. I switched to a different one that’s bigger and cheaper and I still get the same thing as I got with uhaul.

My only gripe is that I was under the impression that my payments would be automatic draft. But then I get a call after the late fee was assessed for 20 something dollars over a week past the due date. Felt like a money grab to me. They could’ve at least offered a first time late fee waiver.

The space is good but that truck was ragged. The brakes were slow to catch and it was a bad ride. The driver side window had to be pulled up by hand and it was hot out. The staff were nice and walked me through the storage. We were given keys to truck and had to figure it out. I picked up a load from Bellaire Rd and returned to the store. There was a little less than 1/4 tank of gas. I put $20 in it just to feel safe. Trip was so short the hand didn't move down. Trip made and items in storage. It was very busy at the time and they seemed short staffed too.

Just getting back in town. From the beginning it was a hassle. Wrong size storage unit rented, manger on duty Melvin Boseman was very unprofessional while unpacking storage unit. He even went as far as threatening to call the police on me for no reason. He was aggressive and very disrespectful. An employee by the name of Tremaine Lee was in attendance while Mr. Boseman hot out of control. After I told him his staff wasn’t trained good enough no cards on site and I wasn’t properly informed about my unit or the access. I addressed that and he got upset. I will not use this facility nor will I refer anybody to use this facility. The level of unprofessionalism that was reached a man trying to handle a woman. Come on now that’s disrespectful because I was in the right. He makes the company look bad

I'm very crippled and the personnel were all very patient and helpful during my entire visit, from helping me from the parking lot, loading boxes and explaining & helping with rental paperwork. I waited 30 minute before being served as no one was in the office. From start to finish it took close to an hr and half just to get a unit. I had movers coming and luckily they let me know the unit number so they could work on unloading while I signed documents. My movers were more apologetic than the location was for how long things were taking. People who worked there were friendly and the place we kept up well, only pros I saw.

Even though I only needed the space for a couple of months while in-between locations, my things were well kept (temperature wise) and secure (untampered with). If anyone I know needs storage at a reasonable price, I will definitely refer them to the location I used.

There was a miscommunication with my unit. I was given the wrong size and the number given belonged to someone else. Then another unit I was going to get wasn’t in the system. The overall facility isn’t managed well. The young man today didn’t even have a cash drawer and he was the only one working.

We called the other location and made a reservation and then arrived at the facility about 15 minutes later and they didn’t have the reservation I made. Very poor customer service. The temperature is set on the hot side at almost 80, feel something around 60 would be better because it felt humid inside which makes a little weary with climate controlled storage and the floor inside the unit was muddy. Overall, the facility was nice and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

The stuff was very rude any time you call. I had to deal with upper management to get any kind of results. I know everyone has policies as far as late payments. If there was any time you couldn’t pay or was late they gave no grace period and would lock you out of your unit with no notice. And it took a act of congress to get there lock taken off even if you were caught up on payments. Yes I will use the trucks but I will not use the storage again.

Though most of the staff seem friendly and they are willing to correct most issues. I found the restricted hours to be most inconvenient. The security system does not work well and has system issues regularly. I was offered a free month for my inconvenience, but I would not store here again. The management is good but I do not have faith in most of the locations employees to be able to full assist me. Overall not a bad location. Just would not store there again.

Website states storage access until 10pm, but it closed at 7pm. Did not receive free lock upon move in. Was sent to another Uhaul location to purchase a lock. Came back the next day to be reimbursed and no manager available. Had to make a third trip to finally reach someone to give me a lock. I then had to go to the other Uhaul location to get a refund. Unacceptable and poor customer service. Could not reach anyone by phone after hours.

Idk if I paid for a unit or was just lied to while filing out paper work to rent a truck. I never asked for a unit. You dishonest employee (it was a female) lied about what I was filing paper work out for. I just wanted a truck was I charged for a unit that I never asked for? Did she steal my money? Very poor customer service from office staff. No one was available at the site, had to drive to another site to confirm my reservation. Staff member didn’t want to honor my previously signed contract regarding my free month of storage. He then lied to me telling me Uhaul changed the offer, not knowing that I had already had a contract number. Once I showed him my email from Uhaul, he said he would give me the free month, but acted as if he had a problem with it. The unit I reserved was for a 10x20, upon entering the storage site, the unit he gave me definitely did not look like a 10x20. I was told storage access was until 7pm, so I left to pack my belongings onto my Uhaul truck that I rented from another location. When I returned at the storage site at 4:30pm, the doors were locked and there were 5 other Uhaul customers waiting and looking for site manager. I patiently waited but when the site manager arrived on the site at 4:50pm, he said the site closed at 5pm because it was Thursday. No one told me this beforehand. He said he was only going to open the door for a customer who had about 3 items to put in her unit. He was rude so I just took my lock off my unit and rented storage from another company. I have always been a Uhaul customer and I plan to continue renting trucks, but I will NEVER rent from the Gordon Hwy location again.
