Power was out but I booked online and had already checked in. Took an hour to get the truck I needed. Bad experience at this location. Worse experience ever over the years I've using this company

Dominic G.I was not happy with my recent rental. I reserved a 15' ft truck, however when I went to pick it up at another location, I was told they overbooked & did not have my truck for rental. I was told this location had one, but when I went to pick it up. They only had a larger truck which I did not reserve or want. I was in a bind & had to take the larger truck. I did not want the larger truck because I was taking my belongings to a storage facility. I only wanted the truck I reserved over a week in advance. Not the best experience I have had using U Haul.

NoahsArk M.Maybe be a little coordinated as far as getting you in and out. Also having someone to answer questions about available equipment without having to be put on hold. Ex: I called this Sunday to see about a 2 wheel dolly and was put on hold. At the time I was in Martinez, GA. I decided to ride down to the location all the while being on hold. Needless to say about 15-20 later I arrived and no one came back to answer my question. When I walked in the young man that put me on hold did acknowledge doing so and apologized. In conclusion being a bit more organized overall would make things go much smoother. Therefore couldn't give an excellent overall rating. Thanks TDB,SR.
TIMOTHY B.It will more comfortable for a customer to feed the information online so the renting process can be further expedite. For example, the credit is needed to make the reservation but one has to feed the information again, so also the name of a second person. However, we did not spend much time as Michael was very efficient in helping us.
Somsankar D.I got to the location about 20 minutes before closing due to heavy traffic. The girl and guy there were so nice a patient when they could have easily been upset that they were trying to close. They helped me get all of the right parts to connect the trailer and were so nice during the process. Thanks so much for making my experience a great one!!!

I turn truck in 4hrs earlier than expected, there was a lady there needing that exact size truck. Thank goodness we turned it in early. We wanted a 15ft but they didn't have one so we took the next best thing. Thank you.

Bruce B.When we checked it out, it was location unknown according to the lady that filled the order. Greenwood was the drop off location that also tows cars that my son had worked at so he dropped it off there. Then I get a text saying to drop off at the stated location. When I called the drop off number instead of changing it she made him go get the trailer and take it to Midgard and wasn't nice either. I called the number the next morning and Emily was so nice, she said she could have changed it. It was very stressful and gas is expensive and we had to spend extra money and time at 8 pm after a long day of moving.

I asked if anyone was going to unhook the trailer and the lady asked "you don't know how to unhook it" I just turned around and walked back toward my vehicle and she followed me and and unhooked it. Other that that it was a good experience, the folks were friendly and accomodating.

ROSE V.There was a communication breakdown when trying to check out. There was no one behind the counter and after waiting 10 minutes, I finally had to go out and ask if there was an issue because no one told me all was OK and I was checked out.

I had movers coming and luckily they let me know the unit number so they could work on unloading while I signed documents. My movers were more apologetic than the location was for how long things were taking. People who worked there were friendly and the place we kept up well, only pros I saw.

NORMAN L.Make sure the trucks are serviced good. I rented a uhaul on 3/17/21 and the truck was parked between 2 other trucks so had a lil hard time getting into truck . So I couldn't inspect outside as I should've been able to. Then the engine light was on and as I was driving away the truck felt like the transmission wasn't shifting like it should. Service to the trucks needs to do better.
CHRISTINE K.The straps came off my car while traveling and my car shifted forward. The hinges on the ratchet straps were worn out and not holding the straps. They should have replaced or properly maintained.
Karen S.The only thing I can say is when I asked would there be someone to help me with the dollly, I was told yes and there was however I was referring to putting car on dolly and securing it.. They said it was only there job to secure dolly to the truck. I paid a little extra to have them help me.. highly appreciated!!! Great job at this site.. Great Team Work!!

BARRY A.The customer service was terrible. I had reserved a u-haul from 12-8pm, but upon my arrival at 1pm, I was told that they did not have any more 15' u-hauls. The supervisor stated that I did not have one because I did not arrive until 1pm. However, I was offered a different truck and was told that it would be more than the one I reserved. Therefore, I asked them since the one that I reserved is not available, could I get the current one for the same price? The female supervisor then stated to me, "Well sir, you are a hour late and we don't have anymore trucks and told the representative that was assisting me that if you give it to him for the same price, then make sure that you put your name and not mine." She also told me, "Sir, don't get an attitude because you are the one who's late." At this point, I just said I'll pay whatever because this was ridiculous and I needed to move asap. Sadly, later in conversation as she was talking to the employees she stated that, "When yall open the store, yall need to call these people to bring these trucks back, because that's why this customer don't have a truck." Clearly, if I was on time, then I would not have had a truck either. I will NEVER use this location again. This has been the most worse experience with this company.
JERRY F.The truck needed to be serviced, staff comes to work when they feel like it. My storage unit I was given belonged to someone else. Also the dolly I reserved wasn't available. Staff also tried to turn me away with a truck full of things. Being that I had been through all kinds of issues I thought it inconsiderate of her to try to deny entry. My truck got there 10 minutes before closing. Me and my help got everything off in 15 minutes. I will not recommend this poorly managed facility. The lock they require isn't even in stock at the store. I was supposed to get a free lock since I rented online. Good thing I had an old lock at home anyway. They really need to either do more training or clean house and start all over again.

The overall facility isn’t managed well. The young man today didn’t even have a cash drawer and he was the only one working.

If there was any time you couldn’t pay or was late they gave no grace period and would lock you out of your unit with no notice. And it took a act of congress to get there lock taken off even if you were caught up on payments. Yes I will use the trucks but I will not use the storage again.

The security system does not work well and has system issues regularly. I was offered a free month for my inconvenience, but I would not store here again. The management is good but I do not have faith in most of the locations employees to be able to full assist me. Overall not a bad location. Just would not store there again.

Came back the next day to be reimbursed and no manager available. Had to make a third trip to finally reach someone to give me a lock. I then had to go to the other Uhaul location to get a refund. Unacceptable and poor customer service. Could not reach anyone by phone after hours.

SANDRA S. | First ImpressionsVery poor customer service from office staff. No one was available at the site, had to drive to another site to confirm my reservation. Staff member didn’t want to honor my previously signed contract regarding my free month of storage. He then lied to me telling me Uhaul changed the offer, not knowing that I had already had a contract number. Once I showed him my email from Uhaul, he said he would give me the free month, but acted as if he had a problem with it. The unit I reserved was for a 10x20, upon entering the storage site, the unit he gave me definitely did not look like a 10x20. I was told storage access was until 7pm, so I left to pack my belongings onto my Uhaul truck that I rented from another location. When I returned at the storage site at 4:30pm, the doors were locked and there were 5 other Uhaul customers waiting and looking for site manager. I patiently waited but when the site manager arrived on the site at 4:50pm, he said the site closed at 5pm because it was Thursday. No one told me this beforehand. He said he was only going to open the door for a customer who had about 3 items to put in her unit. He was rude so I just took my lock off my unit and rented storage from another company. I have always been a Uhaul customer and I plan to continue renting trucks, but I will NEVER rent from the Gordon Hwy location again.
