Your marketing is misleading. You advertise$29 for a rental that was actually 100+. I only traveled a small distance with all but 5 miles or less dedicated to the move the rest was picking up and returning the truck. I was charge $25 more when the truck was returned. It is dishonest advertising. Will not use uhaul again. Only because of the $70 upcharge.

I booked online for this rental, but that seemed to make little difference as I had to go through everything again in the store. When hooking up the trailer to my truck the two employees seemed to go over everything well and checked to make sure all the lights were working. THE BIG PROBLEM was when I got to my location, which was not near here or any other store, I parked the trailer and when I went to load my items, I found a keyed padlock on the door. I then had to drive about 15 minutes each way with the trailer to PURCHASE bolt cutters to be able to open the door. How was this never seen? Also, no one had ever looked inside the trailer from the previous rental as it hadn't been swept out and I found a thumb drive (easily seen) on the floor. I proceeded to give this to the gentleman checking the trailer back in and hope the previous customer got it. William Hartwick

The check in process took 40 minutes, instead of the 10 minute process, promised on the web site. The van we were assigned was in the middle of other vans and trucks. An employee came out and assigned us another van, he was great. The rest of the move went great. I was surprised how much the van could hold. We brought the van back, after hours. The check in process went a lot quicker; however, the picture that was sent, to drop off the keys, did not match this location. We had to search for the drop off box for the key. Other than that, I would recommend the van to anyone needing to move.

I will not recommend U-Haul to anyone! It is too expensive! I used a 10' truck within the city limit for a couple of hours and I ended up paying $83!

Rude employee. Long wait time. Employee refused to help offload trailer. Asked me to pull around back, back trailer into narrow slip, then come find him. I dropped trailer off in pouring rain and employee never inspected trailer for damage. Alerted employee that I called Uhaul customer service re uhaul trailer door jam and tail light. Asked employee to notate that the sliding door wasn't working properly and tail light out. Employee refused to notate. Will never do business with uhaul again and advise others to avoid uhaul as well. The uhaul location was filthy. Inside was disgusting.

Inside of driving area was not clean. Spilled drink residue and smelled of smoke. Windshield was cracked but did not notice until defroster melted ice and snow. This should have been revealed. Did call customer serves within 20 minutes to advise and they resolved. Second time We have been shorted on pads, only received 21, not 24. Pads came in four tied plastic bags so did not take time to count. Will always count in the future! Vehicle handled great, easy to maneuver, heater was great given the cold weather and the cost was worth the inconveniences. Would recommend U Haul.

Actually have the truck on site that was reserved would help lol. My experience with U Haul was TERRIBLE. They didnt have the truck I reserved. Then I had to drive back 20 miles to get the dolly i reserved. The key didnt work to the lock so I had to go purchase another one. And the truck felt and sounded like it was going to break down. * Customer service was bad. Arrived at 9am when it opened and had to wait 15min for service to start. There was another client in front of me and only at 9:25min someone was able to help me * The truck was in bad shape: Roof of the truck was leaking (I found out when it started to rain later in the day) and some of my things got wet. Passenger door lock was very tricky to get it to open. * I was returning after hours and for some reason the app to return the vehicle did not work with my motorola smartphone (the picture that is needed to show the odometer was not being accepted). After 10 min trying to get it to work we decided to use my wife's iphone and finally it worked

More transparency on the importance of miles on vehicle needed to be known prior. I hadn't realized and guessed too low by 10 miles. No big deal, but in the future I know to look it up or round up on my guess.

I've used Uhaul several times, this same location and cannot think of any improvement. I get great customer service who explain everything. And are always friendly. Anytime needed I will use this same location and will always recommend to friends or family. Thank you!

The trailer I was given for my rental only had working trailer lights on one side. My turn signals & break lights worked, but I was driving at night and it would have been nice to have full working lights to see all the way around the trailer while going down the road. Other than that, the workers were extremely nice, and understandable when I needed to switch trucks due to personal issues.

Your employees are apparently not required to wear a mask. The young man behind the counter around noon on 11/7/2020 had a mask around his neck, but not over his nose and mouth. I mentioned it to him, and he just slid it up, but within a few seconds it was back down around his chin doing him and U-Haul customers no good. Your supervisors are not doing their job. Not only will I not recommend this facility, but I will warn others away until the pandemic is over.

I returned my truck the night before it was due back but was charged an extra day fee. I called the store and an employee suggested I come in to fix it. I told him how ridiculous that was and he got the Mgr. The Mgr blamed it on a new employee and said I would have an email receipt showing the credit within 5 min. Every couple hours I checked and had no email. I called the store repeatedly and it always went to immediate terminal hold. The 800 customer service could not get them either and said there were no notes or credit in the system. I finally had to go back to the store and it took the Mgr 15 minutes to pull up a credit receipt. It showed the credit had been issued around noon but he never apologized for what I had to go thru to get a credit receipt.

The trailer I originally reserved with a ramp would not work because the ramp was narrower than the trailer. The employee who helped me was able to quickly make a change to another trailer. My only problem was this trailer was supposed to be cheaper but I was charged the same amount.

The only think I recommend is putting a step bar on your pick up trucks. I had to use a step stool for my mom to get in the truck and I konda struggled myself. It is definitely not made for short people.

I went to the Uhaul on Waverly to get an appliance dolly... was told I should go to Cedar st. They only have 3 and they are all gone! When asked to call to Cedar street today make sure and reserve it before I drove to the other side of the city, I was told they are 3 times larger and they have them. Which they did.... but how does one moving store only have 3 appliance dollys????

Night and day. The difference between the jolly cedar u hall and its counterpart in neast lansing mich Awesome is the word to describe chris and staff at the uhaul at cedar and jolly Intelligence and professionalism rule there Onthe other hand, the manager Jordan and her staff were sullen, lncompetent,and inept... We lost two days because of bad promises Also had to go to a non u haul hitch store because of jordan's unwillingness and dis respect The other two employees at the neast store mirrored jordan's rude behavior. There was roaches on my truck. One had been dead for a while and i killed one . Also they infected my new house. So far ive found 2. I will never rent from this location again. I am beyond pissed off. When I called the uhaul place to address the issue the customer service woman put me on hold and never came back. I now have to hire someone to come spray my new house. NO I WILL NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO GO HERE

I wanted to add furniture pads and was told no. He also said wednesday the 30th was our drop off and it was actually Tuesday... I also was not pleased with the alignment and felt it was difficult to drive. Also was displeased that i selected a different location to pick up our truck and got assigned a different location witch put us behind almost an hour with construction. Uhaul has moving help as a reliable stress free option to have moving companies help with your move.... The 5start collage men sucked. Showed up smelling of booze and damaged several of our things, didn't fill our truck properly and left us with a "full" truck and several items unloaded.... On a move from MI to FL we didn't have a way to make 2 trips. We had to unload and reload the truck the next day... This put us behind a full day of travel. Uhaul wouldn't help us or make it right. I was so looking forward to a stress free move and it was nothing but stress. I felt for the price i paid it was a total rip off. I have no plans to rent through Uhaul ever again. Uhaul should make sure the customer is taken care of and is getting outstanding service and getting what they paid for and what is advertised. Anything less should be corrected immediately. You should not endorse a moving company or a 3rd party that would allow such poor customer service. Weather a 3rd party or not UHUAL recommend by proxy this company and now i have over $4000 in damages. Also your doors leak. We had water damage on so many items. when we drove in the rain water leaked into the truck bed and soaked anything on the floor...Mattresses,bed frames, tv stands, antique chests, clothing, our tv, pictures.... And many more items. This is unacceptable.

I arrived at my pickup/check in time at 9. They told me that they didn't have a key for the truck yet and that it would be a little while. I told them this was fine, I'll run and get coffee and be back soon. They said that works perfect and that they'll have the key well before I get back. DeAndre said that he would text me when it was ready. I received a text from him a little while after I left saying that he was going on a key run and should have it before I get back. Once I came back in to pick up my key they said it still was not ready. By the time the key arrived and I left it was 11. I had friends that took the day off to come help me move waiting for me at my house. I booked the truck about a month in advance and it wasn't ready on time. I had also rented a furniture dolly that wasn't in the truck. So I just lost money on that. There were a few other things also. Staff was using their personal cell phones for business related things. When I checked in one staff member took a picture of my ID on his cell phone. A lot of staff either had their mask down on their neck or their nose uncovered. The reason I'm giving 3 stars is because I left my keys in the truck but I was able to come back and retrieve them. I am very thankful for this. But my overall experience other then this was not great.

Was given a dirty truck and was going to be charged for the people before me mess. Was never told to inspect everything. Mileage, gas and cleanliness should have been told to check to make sure it was correct. So when we got our bill we were charged for more than expected. Computers were down and had no contract but a piece of paper for me to sign.
