People were very unhelpful and could have cared less about the fact that one of our trucks didnt have any AC for the entire trip from OK to Mi. It got so hot in there and for a 20 hour plus drive it was a huge deal. They could have cared less.

There was one gentleman that waited on me both when I came in and picked up and when I dropped off. I didn't catch his name, but he was excellent. Very knowledgeable and efficient. He knew what he was doing and was really nice. Not sure if you can look up in system to see who it was, but he deserves a compliment!

Please be more up front about rental hours. I had asked for 24 hours with a 10' truck but I was only given 7, and for $60 that's utterly ridiculous! Additionally, everyone at this location had a bad attitude. Very rude and lacking any courteousness.

Service your vehicles. I received a vehicle that ran poorly, only accelerated to 20 mph, and caused me several mishaps scheduling and otherwise to complete my move. The manager of the location was gracious and accommodating. Still I should have received an extreme discount seeing as though I had to come back another day to get a second truck. I was blessed enough to leave work early to get this done, but I was very frustrated and upset with the vehicle I initially received

We needed an adapter for the trailer and I think $14 for the adapter is quite steep. Those should be loaned out free of charge or with a deposit, or change the wiring to accomodate newer vehicles. it was an additional expence I was not expecting.

We made a reservation a month in advance but when we came to pick up the equipment they didn’t have the truck, told us it wouldn’t be there for 4 hours, then told us we could drive an hour to pick up a different one before having me call customer service on my own. The gal there was rude and snotty, she did nothing to help resolve the issue or offer to compensate in any way for the mix up.

Location called me and confirmed a 20 foot truck the night before pick up date. I arrived at 9 am on my scheduled pick up day. I had to wait 30 minutes in line only to be told they didn't have my confirmed 20 foot truck. Had to take a small van instead. Total NIGHTMARE will never rent form Uhaul again.

when i arrived to return the truck, it was raining and the ground was uneven and had at least an inch to 2 inches of water in most spots, also it was hard finding the key return box.

Got the oldest car hauler on the lot, asked for a newer unit was told it was going out of state the next day, when i returned two days later the newer trailer was still there, no license plate on trailer after I pulled out of lot, half lights didn’t work

You guys can improve your staff and how they explain the rates and fees and how they messed up my whole storage unit when I had a storage unit there had me under a whole different storage unit and I was renting a whole different one and then old to make up for it will give you this month free but still what if my stuff would have got lost are tuck because they didn't even know that was my storage unit that they put me in and now I rent a truck from you guys and I'm overcharged 1999 a day is a lie frfr how I only have the truck 18 hours not even turned it back early put gas in it and charged $26 more than expected y'all need to get your guys's fees all in order if you're going to try to all this extra you need to state that that is 40 something dollars not 1999 a day but thank you I will never rent from south side U-Haul again

Tell customers they will be charged a extra day if brought back late. Because uhaul over lapped the reservations. I picked my truck up at 3 reservation was 230 I returned it at 330 They had it reserved at 230. How is this possible. Now i have to pay a days rental when I didnt know someone had it reserve for the exact time i had to have it back. I called before i had to have it back to see what i could do. And i was billed I shouldve been able to keep it another day since i was billed for it. I don't feel this was great business.

We had a really difficult time finding the key drop box. The picture on the app shows a bright yellow box next to the entrance. It was actually a slot in a garage door on a different side of the building.

I signed up for mobile pickup but still had to wait in line to do paperwork, so the process wasn't really expedited at all. Waited in line for about 25 min to pick up on a Saturday. Store could staff better on busy days.

The oil light was on when I got in. The steering was sloppy and the steering wheel wasn't straight. There were 2 small slits in the box roof. It appeared it needed some mechanical attention. The staff was friendly and efficient.

The Assistant Manager, Jordan, is AMAZING! The day prior to picking up the U-Haul truck, she anticipated questions I had and provided additional information of steps I could take to make the pick up of the vehicle quicker and easier. The morning I picked up the truck it all went "like clock work". She is a great representative for U-Haul! Kudos! This is unrelated to Jordan - the driver's side door is not easy to close completely. Also, I could not locate the outlet to charge my iPhone. With a five-hour drive to Chicago, it was stressful watching my iPhone battery deplete to less than 10% charge.

The website indicates .79 cents/mile. The invoice received was .99 cents/mile. I was not told that Friday & Saturday reservations were an extra .20 cents/mile; nor did the website indicate as such. Very misleading

the phone answering voicemail is HORRIBLE!!!!!! Broken mirror on truck. The good news; employees were friendly and professional. However, I will never call UHaul again. If I can't go there I will call Ryder!! The phone is slow and incredibly stupid.

Employee was rude and told me the on-line check-in would not work. I was able to successfully complete the on-line check-in without issue. Was not expecting the truck to only have 1/8 tank of gas. I have rented from Budget truck before and they always provide a full tank of gas and you have to return the truck with a full tank. This is similar to all car rentals. Why is U-Haul any different. The first thing I had to do was put gas in the truck. Very rude!

Was supposed to get a 20' truck rental for the same price as the original 15' truck I rented since they did not have the 15' truck. I asked the guy completing my checkout if it was the 15' price and he said yes. Later in reviewing the paperwork I noticed that it was the price for the 20' truck. Was he just too lazy to correct it because he definitely knew he was lying to me.

The website would be better for reservations if one could see availability of trailers for a whole area, not just one location at a time (which is tedious to keep going back and changing, then going through the whole process to see if they have the right trailer).

This place was extremely disorganized. There were about 15-20 people standing around - waiting on some type of instructions. The only clerk who knew what was going on was on the cell phone - presumably dealing with them. I was ignored for 5 min and then passed off to a clerk who needed to ask a lot of questions to process my rental. It took over 30 minutes and is completely unacceptable. Very dissatisfied.

Just dropped it off at this location business was closed used the drop box after looking for it for 10 minutes finally found it, just to let you know, when you do the miles may want to add miles from destination unloading to uhaul drop off that’s where the extra miles go to, would have been closer if they would have had me drop it off about three miles from my apt where I unloaded at, thank you I do love uhaul business

I had ordered a wiring harness that i later found was discontinued for my vehicle. I had to go in twice (45 minute roundtrip drive) before that problem was discovered. Otherwise, everything else ran very smoothly with this location.

We rented trucks from this location three times within three weeks. The manager, James Powell, was very helpful each time and willingly corrected an erroneous overcharge that the drop-off location demanded from us although we had documentation to the contrary. We have already recommended this location to others.

Moving helpers that UHaul deal with are not good. One that booked, called Marvel Movers, lied about the time we agreed on although it was obvious in a text message, and canceled the service without even telling me.

The service we received from this location, and it was very busy, was exceptional. The manager, James Powell, went far above and beyond what I would have expected to diagnose and repair trailer light issues that we experienced and which kept us from starting ur move. He was on the ground, crawling under the trailer, installing new wire and lights, answering questions of other employees, and it was cold and windy. We were very impressed and will always go to this site for any needs we have that it can meet. What a credit to the U-Haul organization this man and location are! Harvey Groves

Every person I had contact with at both locations was helpful, courteous, and knowledgable. They made my job of moving my daughter to Lansing a lot easier and for that I will be forever grateful.

Communication was not existent. I called at the time the job was supposed to finish and was told they would call me back. I tried that for once an hour for three hours and never received a return call. I then went to the store at Jolly and S. Cedar and asked the gentleman in the store if my hitch was installed so I could take my car home since it was closing time. He told me that he would go check and left me alone in the store for 20 minutes. A different employee came in and told me that I could go out to the garage and check. I did, it was not done, and was told he needed another 20 minutes. Nearly 4 hours after the time I was told to call and see if the job was done, I received my car without the plug-in receiver and ball. It was installed and I left frustrated by the poor service and communication. I am satisfied with the quality of the installation and the products installed.

I made a reservation online and was very clear with my need. The associate on the phone seemed knowledgeable and made a reservation for me for a 10 ft truck with a price and mileage. I received texts 3 days before my pickup that said my new location had been moved. I called the number and they told me my location did not have a 10ft truck. Then they told it was a in town rental and my pricing was completely different than the reservation I had made. I tried to explain again what I was doing and the first call center assoc (Felicia) was rude and told me it was what it was and I could check when I picked it up. I decided to call back got another assoc. who was more helpful and I thought had fixed what I was told. Then on the day of my pickup I get a text with the new location stated my 26ft truck was ready for pickup. I called the local number and she told me that is all they have, wasn't sure why I was sent to her location because they never had 10ft trucks. I then contacted your centralized line again and they found me a 15ft truck at the location of this survey (S Waverly Rd). She told me that is all they had. I said fine but I wanted my original reservation price quote. I wasn't clear what I got but I needed this truck. I went to pickup and the assoc there said we have plenty of 10ft trucks, I don't know what they were telling you. Whatever your assoc did in the system prior to this it screwed up everything. I got my 10ft truck and thought I was done. When I did dropped off, there were still only 2 people working. Myself and many others waited for a long time. Once I finally got to the counter your senior assoc did a great job trying to deal with unhappy customers and figure out my problem. Your system didn't have my truck being returned to where I picked it up. Come to find out it was in the system to drop off at my original reservation location that Uhaul told me there wasn't any 10ft trucks. Had to call GR again where someone tried to correct a number of times this computer issue. It took me 45 minutes from when I arrived to when I left. Your team at the locations are good employees, your system and your sales/call center teams are rude, weak at best. And at the end of it your GR center didn't even think to waive something on my rental (extra mileage or a partial credit). I want someone to call me and I want some credit to this experience.

The box was not placed in the requested location. The driver assumed she placed the box correctly but did not call me to confirm. It was at a different building in the complex.If I hadn't walked around the complex I would have waited until too late on Friday to have called and gotten it corrected and would have had to carry everything over a half block. In no way is this meant to be a mean spirited response. Everyone was wonderful in their relationship with me and the response to correct was very fast and efficient..

I was told when I booked the appointment that it was a half hour job and that I should wait for them to complete the installation. I planned my day on that statement. I had to take a taxi to and from the UHaul for work, because the appointment was not a real appointment it was just some guy making promises on the phone. When I arrived they said they had no idea when they would get to the wiring job. It would be "some time today". Then when I hooked my trailer up to the wiring the blinkers were wired backwards. Terrible workmanship and business planning.

When I inquired about the environmental fee and insurance fee I didn't get a straight answer from anyone other than everybody is charged for that! Is there an answer in there somewhere? I waited 20 minutes to check out because of the new people not knowing who was supposed to wait on me. The general answer was...I didn't check you in! A simple case of under training as it looked.

At the very least clean the windshield. The cab of this truck was terrible and I cleaned the dash, cup holders, and seats before taking off. The windows needed cleaning inside and out which should be part of the contract upheld by UHAUL. If I returned a vehicle in this condition you would charge me so why don't you do the right thing and pay me back for my time and cleaning materials? During the trip it rained and snowed guess what happened when I tried to use the wipers; the wiper blade rubber was dry rotted and smeared my freshly cleaned windshield! The wiper blades were so bad they would not clear the rain which made driving too dangerous to continue until the rain stopped.

It's nothing I can recommend for you to change unless you going to offer some refreshments donuts and some coffee otherwise things were perfect might need a couch too

I reserved a 10 ft truck When I arrived the man was incredibly rude to me. At one point as I was waiting for him to enter the information in the computer he looked at me and asked "Do you have a problem?" I told him i did not and he then said "Well you are just looking at me crazy" I wasnt doing anything but waiting for him. He then asked if I wanted insurance, I asked what the options were. He said "Its a yes or no question" I tried to ask what the different levels were but he just told me it was on the paper. I agreed to insurance just to get through the process. When he gave me the total I questioned it because it was more than I thought it should be. He informed me that I was getting a 15 ft truck. I explained I had reserved a 10 ft truck. I informed me that they didnt even have a 10 ft and he didnt know what I expected him to do. I took the truck because I needed it and I just wanted this interaction to be over It was horrible the truck sounded like it was going to blow up horrible experience

The person at the desk who checked me in was amazing--very nice, explained everything thoroughly, and gave us recommendations on what kind of packing tape to use. This was my first time renting here and I would definitely go here again next time I move.
