The lady who checked me in today was awesome very polite and friendly.

ELLEN G.Agent handling the rental of the two 26 ft truck was very helpful and at the end when he was about to turn over the keys the manager stepped in and changed trucks "don't give them those trucks I'd give them ###) These trucks were used and abused, one would vibrate over 30mph we had to go back and change. I believe the reason for the change is he judged my two drivers and didnt want to give us the good trucks. Debbie Z.Broken elevator for two days straight while I had taken off work to move in, AC was supposed to be between 65-85 degrees but it was 90 degrees multiple times (I have pictures taken) and I paid for an air conditioned unit, multiple times there was not a push cart (only three for the whole facility, told manager and he said he would order, but two weeks later still not any new ones). This was extremely poorly run. Paid way too much for the worst service.

Tony D.Truck fuel level at 1/8 at pick up location. Had to wait 15 mins in line to correct a contract error. Then manager said to simply take a photo. Why did not look at the fuel gauge and correct the fuel level prior to signing the contract or simply go put fuel in the tank?

Still he is not happy with the business, he insisted the person working on my contract to add $20 for asking assistance to hook up the trailer to my truck and load my car. Associates were telling him that we usually don't charge for it, but he was insisted to add it.

Maureen K.Truck was rented to me with a damage tire. This was a scheduled move and the damaged tire was a true inconvenience! I had to stop 7 times to fill the tire & in between the move I had to schedule road side assistance. I was not pleased with this experience. The dashboard clearly indicated there was an issue with the tire therefore that indicates it wasn't inspected by Uhaul staff prior to rental. This was a dangerous experience.

donald B.The employee there attached the chains onto the car and the canvas covers that latch onto the tire. My daughter asked him to explain to her how to do it and he did it instead. He was very rude to her. During the trip from Florida from Missouri, the canvas straps came undone and wrapped around the axle of the front tire. The man at the Uhaul store in Missouri told us that the fact that they wrapped around was what kept the car on the dolly. If the car had come off the dolly, it could have caused a very bad accident. It seems like the person in Sanford didn't know what they were doing or didn't care.

Steven B.The online reservation and documentation system did not work. When I first made the reservation it was for another location. But before I went to pick up the truck the derivation was changed to another location because there were no more vehicles at the original location. The online reservation system never updated, as a result when I went to pick up the vehicle I was turned away. Had travel about 5 miles out of my way to pick up the vehicle. Why did the online system allow me to rent at the original location if they had no vehicles. Online system stinks and needs to be updated.

We had issues with previous rental locations with uhual and they were very understanding of our situation and went above and beyond with their service. We were very happy and we enjoy coming back to them for our storage unit we have rented with them.

I wasn't ever able to speak to the person who called to arrange my pickup information, I was told multiple times from the number that was provided to me in a voicemail that the lady did not exist. When I got there to pick up my uhaul it was a complete disaster. I had to fill out 50 things online and I feel like some of the requirements are absolutely uncalled for. Also to top it off I did not receive a dolly and I ended up paying for one. So needless to say I will never be using uhaul again.

Ptah E. | Online Move InActually what needs to be done is having an inspection on your fleet of trucks. The 20" truck needed a major wheel alignment. Wr didn't feel safe driving it. We called only to be told that they couldn't do anything and that we had to call roadside assistance. The truck drove very poorly!

James B.I will never use uhaul again after my experience. There was an error during my online processing but my card was charged so I called as I wasn't able to finish my information online. When I called she confirmed a drop off location in Sanford which I asked to be changed to Deltona, she said no worries that it was changed that I could drop off at any location in Deltona. When we picked up again the in store representative said we drop off in Sanford, again my husband and I said that was wrong and we needed to drop off in Deltona. We were told again that we could drop off anywhere anytime in Deltona. When we choose the nearest UHaul for drop off in Deltona we were told we were going to be charged double because it wasn't being dropped off in Sanford. The representative there had no interest in helping us and told us to call 1800Uhaul and dismissed us. We sat there on hold for 35mins and we're told we could drop it off there and she changed the drop off location as it was an error on Uhauls end. She spoke to the representative who then told her they were not accepting any more trucks… so we were told to drive to orange city 20mins further from us. The phone representative told us she updated the drop off location and everything was taken care of. When we arrived at the orange city location, we were told that we had to return to Sanford and that we had to pay a late fee on the uhaul as the order on his end said it was only a one day even though our paperwork said a two day, and that we weren't able to speak to a manger because they weren't there. We explained what happen and thankfully the representative did not charge us the extra day nor the double price of drop off but we were charged for the extra mileage which I feel is completely unfair! I would never use uhaul again after this experience. The representative at orange city said there was no change to the account either so the 35mins on hold with the representative who said she changed our pick up address and wouldn't be charged for those extra miles didn't do anything!!!

Then someone there would say we don't do that here try this branch. Then I drive there and they would say oh no we don't have that here try this other place. Local storage site did not acknowledge this information. I tried calling the site multiple times per day and it always rang over to national calling center. Spoke to several different people at call center. Then I started getting late payment notices and I continued to try to call the local site to resolve this issue and every time I called site, it went to national calling center which said they would take care of it but didn't. Finally when I had time, I went back to site and was the only customer. There were two people working at the counter. The phone was ringing continuously and they ignored it. Told the worker about the issue and they closed account and said I should talk to the manager about this. Tried to talk to Walt and he was condescending and did not seem to care about the issue, the fact that his staff don't answer the phones, etc. I have used U-haul other times and never had an issue. Hopefully, this is just localized to this one site. I rented the storage unit for several years. Over the time I rented, the place deteriorated. The gates for access to the building stopped working and gates and fencing were removed. The doors to the storage building often did not shut correctly allowing access to anyone who desired. There were only four carts for unloading (had been at least twice that many when I first started renting there) and when I asked staff a while back about this, they said that customers keep breaking or taking them and they weren't planning on replacing them. Hopefully this is just an issue with this center. I would still use U-haul based on other experiences but would never go back to this site or recommend anyone to this local site as the place has deteriorated significantly and manager does not care.

You knw the old saying "When the cat is away the mice like to play" Other than that the facility is clean and well maintained. A bit pricey but overall good experience.

So I had to put my boxes and furnitures through the other door but it was difficult because it wasn’t a flat floor. I really had a hard time putting my stuff inside the storage. I asked 10x10x10 and they gave me 2 of 5x5 and it was in a 2nd floor. I really wanted 1 floor and 10x10x10. No one told me that they was going to do that to me if not I would of have canceled it. I’m not happy with this service. Also when I was talking to a customer representative about changing the date and she had me on hold for good 15 minutes while I was driving from New Jersey to Florida. That really was a bad service.

They then sent me to another facility who gave me a second floor unit for a higher price. The issue was then escalated and resolved resulting in me having to reach out to the manager every month to get my price adjusted. Very inconvenient and a total hassle for a mistake that should have never been made.
