The staff were excellent, time was well managed, access to vehicles was easy, and this UHaul location is within 12 miles/minutes to many of the major storage facilities in and around Meriden, CT. Highly recommend this UHaul Site. 10' foot box truck with insurance @ .89 mile and 4 hours of time allowed me to complete my move for $53.00. Thanks UHaul

As soon as we turned the ignition in the vehicle that we were assigned the check engine light went on. We informed the staff and were told "it just needs to warm up". When the vehicle started sputtering on the highway we called and again were told "it's fine, it just needs to warm up". About 5 miles from the pickup point the vehicle died and could not be started. Roadside assistance had to be called. Roadside assistance told us that another vehicle would be waiting when we returned to the U-Haul location. It was not. We lost 3 hours of moving time because of this issue and as a result were unable to return the vehicle by 5:00 when the store closed. We therefore had to check-in from the mobile app, but the app would not detect our location even though the settings for location were on and all other apps on my phone were able to detect location. We were unable to complete the check-in process on the app. After all of this I was charged an additional $48.00 for something. This was a terrible experience all around. I do not recommend this location and my Google review will reflect this.

The staff members on duty. The one guy. He handled over 13 customers at once. Each of us with an incredible dignity and respect. He didnt get mad when yelled at. He didnt get mad when someone asked for one more thing. He went above and beyond whats expected from someone under that much work. I wish I knew his name.

The equipment was clean but not well maintained it was leaking through heater core told me it's ok to drive it that way & after leaving the lot speedometer didn't work transmission wouldn't shift break light on dash board beeping psi gauge going up and down from 0 to 40 & to top it off when filling the box up it had a bee hive my movers almost got stung.

My truck was not in stock when I showed up. Truck leaked water. Ruined my clothes and furniture. Uhaul should be ashamed. Called corporate and was transferred to idiots who don't care. Penske or hertz next time

Equipment/5x8 trailer door would not open. I also spent 30 min trying to fix a reservation issue because the computer system was so slow. The text I got from Uhaul said to go to that location in Meriden but my actual reservation was in Millerton (1.5 hr away). Employee was trying to be helpful- not his fault.

The service was disgusting the guy who worked there at the West Main location was disgustingly rude and still charged me $81 even after he told me I wouldn't be spending that much due to the mileage and hours I used the vehicle. Would never consider Uhaul again.

The two guys that worked in the office were very nice. The truck itself needed service done to it. The tire sensor light was on. Also, my roundtrip was 50 miles. I got charged extra for a total mileage of 80 miles. I know for a fact that I didn't go 80 miles. That was an extra $30. When I had already spent money for the rental, insurance and I put $15 of gas before I brought it back. All in all I spent a total of $135. That was unacceptable. I will most definitely go somewhere else next time I need to move something.

PLEASE! Don't use so much spray inside the truck cab. It is nauseating! My facemask stunk so bad, just by being in the cab for a couple hours, I had to throw it away.

First truck they gave me the battery was dead and wouldn't start. Second truck was fine until we left the storage unit and the truck lost power merging onto the highway. We were able to pull over and make it to the next exit where we turned the truck off and turned it back on. The check engine light was on, the truck was stuck in 1st gear, the speedometer wasn't working and the indicator letting you know if it was in drive wasn't working. The employees were great at the Meriden location just the truck that I received was unsatisfactory.

my pick got rescheduled 3 time I only had one day to move and they completed screwed me out of getting our on time. The manager Rosa at this location was extremely rude and not helpful. I was suppose to have a truck for 24 hrs and I paid for 24 hrs I was only given the truck til 8:45 so I got 4 hrs of moving in. I will be filing a complaint...…..

There were cockatoos he's in the uhaul which transferred into multipl boxes. I saw two roaches running around the uhaul while loading. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING

When doing a mobile pick up, you still have to get into the building to get the keys. This isn't clear and it seems if you are going in, you may as well skip the mobile process. The building was locked with only some construction guys to tell us how to get in (through the garage on the side) and the men behind the counter were not friendly and welcoming nor very communicative. In the end, they got us what we needed and walked us out the proper entrance.

Mobile check in doesn't work so it's a bit pointless. I was stuck on “waiting for approval for 15+ minutes and ended up going inside. After that, they couldn't find the key to my truck. Luckily they had another 15 footer. But I didn't feel very safe driving it because the truck was driving straight even though the steering wheel was turned to the left. Not a very good experience.

I reserved my 26' truck for 4pm 8/21- 4pm 8/22. When I showed up the woman behind the counter told me I could only have the truck until noon. She had another 26' truck key hanging on the wall, but said I couldn't have that one at all, it was being put up for sale. She had no 20' or 17' trucks either. She offered me a 15' truck which was too small for the move. I had to beg for her to let me have my own reserved truck until 2pm so I could move our stuff. She agreed, but still charged me for the 24 hours, no discount for accommodating her lack of trucks. Plus I had the first reservation, but she insisted I bring the truck back early so it could go out for the next reservation. I'll never go back to them or UHaul. It's Penske for me from here on out.

Bring the vehicle to the curb rather than have the customer walk down behind a building to have to get the vehicle especially when there is a reservation for a bigger truck. The hold time is definitely too long ,I was on hold for over 25 minutes to speak with a representative from the store as I selected thru the prompts and then it was a rep in a call center

Reserved a 17" Truck and a trailer when arrived to pick up equipment was told I could not have the trailer it could not be hooked up to the truck which makes absolutely no sense the truck clearly is capable with a trailer hitch on the back, and only reason I went to this location which was 25 extra miles out of my way was I needed the trailer and the manager refused to give me, then when I arrive home with just the truck and no trailer there is a padlock on the loading door and no key to unlock it, so I call the manager and only suggestion is to drive back and unlock it mind you this location is way out of the way for me or I could cut the lock and would not be charged for it,not having anything to cut the lock with I had to wait for my neighbor to get home and help as he had a tool to cut it with, this cost me two hours of time as I had to wait for him to arrive. Then when I return the truck, I confirm with the employee that i will not be charged for the lock, he calls the manager i spoke with when i originally picked up the truck and tells him I have to return it to another location...what! So tell the employee absolutely not this is ridiculous I picked up the truck at this location and my reservation is to pick up and drop off at same location. So the employee calls manager back and says yes you can drop it off here. So now I have to take another day and rent the trailer that I need that I should of had because I reserved it and was told I could not take it, and take time out of another day to move what I needed to and should have already been done.Nothing was done to accomodate for all the issues I had to deal with and I had to pay for the extra miles I had to drive to that location because again that was the location that had the trailer I needed. The management of this location is unacceptable and I will never use this location again and I will recommend to anyone I know to avoid this location.

I sat in the return line for 15 mins and no one came to help me. I eventually had to use self service. That was the only downside. A representative finally came out after I unloaded the trailer and did everything alone.

Keep reservations as is for customers. The truck should have been delivered to me instead of my going 1 1/2 hours away from my starting point in Ansonia. I lost 3 hours that day just to get a truck.

Location and staff were great. The truck had a broken mirror which made it hard to see out of, but the staff said they were getting fixed tomorrow so not a big deal
