Equipment was not clean but vehicle great. Brakes good, the truck had readable instructions.

Peter H.Drop off was at 7 on a Saturday. I understand they were closed, but when i can see lights on and employees seated and talking casually and no one will simply point towards the night drop box.

In the relatively short time we've had this location in Meriden we have always the place and staff to be wonderful.

The WORST thing is forcing people to do YOUR job through the internet and apps. What about the people that don't have that? It was a complete nightmare because of this. The person LIED and said we wouldn't have to create an account.

Myra M.No problems at all, The morning staff was great when picking up, the evening staff was great when dropping off. I think reconfiguring the equipment return area further into the parking lot would make more sense because it's a huge traffic jam when everyone is returning equipment at the end of the day but that's just a small gripe. All in all a great experience.

Malinda K.Meriden West Main: Bad Customer Service. When you do not know a person, stay professional. I went to pick up the truck, the young girl does not know how to talk to people. I let that one go. I went there very early the following day after I dropped the truck the previous night. It was busy. I called because I noticed I left an item in the truck. I was put on hold for more than 15 minutes to be told that I was out of luck, that the truck was gone. Then I was told I would get a call if it was found. The person was quick on the phone and hung up quick. I called the main number. Nothing they could do but to leave them a message. I would not go there again. If there was less than one star, I would choose that option.
Manssour H.I think it dumb that 4 to 7 pins adapters don't come with the rental. People rent trailers because they don't use them enough to buy them now I own a 7-4 pin adapter that I'll probably never use again wasteful consumerism.
Joseph B.Customer service was the worst that I have ever experienced. Ms. Rios denied me my original reservation that I had booked and confirmed online, changed my reservation to one that was an inconvenience and 3x the price overnight without my consent, and altered my mileage to the wrong number at the end of my trip after I had gone back in and asked for my original receipt. If they work on commission, that is great, I have been there! However, doing it in a malicious and deceiving way is unethical to the customers. Ms. Rios had also offered to give me a free uhaul truck if I agreed to leave my current storage unit and move to theirs AFTER she had already altered my reservation and up-charged me without me knowing.
Chazaree S.: I am concerned that when my daughter dropped off the trailer, she was told she was “all set,†only to hear from me that the receipt I received from U-Haul had tacked on it an unexplained and unapproved charge of $20 added to the total applied without her knowledge to her credit card she had left with U-Haul Meriden as required and in good faith. I am also concerned that this could be a practice committed on other unsuspecting clients, hoping sincerely that this is not the case. In addition, my daughter's experience was fraught with unhelpful staff in Meriden who just pointed at the trailer lot telling her “it's out there.†It was only after she found the right one (with the hitch sitting on the ground, ) that someone actually came out to help her. Furthermore, in the lead up to the pick up, we were told to bring the tow truck in to a dealer to have it certified for towing. However, when we got to a nearby dealer in Middletown, we were told they don't certify tow vehicles. In addition, my daughter was misinformed when told she could drop off the trailer at a nearby dealer in Middletown and then told that would incur a huge charge. My daughter and I give our experience with U-Haul “two thumbs down.â€
Richard B.After returning the vehicle sweeped, gassed up with more gas than when I received it, and on time, I received an additional $13+ charge with no explanation. This is very poor business practice.
David M.I informed the counter worker that the "engine light" had come on of which he seemed somewhat dismissive. He also was too busy for me to also point out that the truck leaks as a fair amount of my stuff got wet during transit.

ROXANA F.When picking up the truck, I had to move another truck that was blocking mine. My truck was almost on empty and needed to fill up tank first thing. When returning truck, the mobile app would not accept the pics of the gas and millage. I spent 45 minutes trying and had to give up. This caused an extra $20 check in fee on my final bill because I was not able to complete with the app. I have the pics of milage and gas time stamped when I returned the truck, but the location will not accept because they already checked it in. There was another couple had same problem with the app at same time. I kind of think this is done on purpose so they can squeeze another $20 bucks from everyone. Not right at all. I will be useing Ryder from now on.

susan m. | Overall ExperienceIssues with entering the unit had I waited until after hours which I had planned to do I wouldn’t have had access to the until to unload the truck we rented in time for the next day return. My code didn’t work to get in so I called the office and they were open I had to go get a card to get in I go back down to the unit and there was a note stating there was a lock included but not in the unit itself I called the office again, same person I spoke to about access, she stated I had to go back up and retrieve the lock… just a bit annoyed with the customer service and lack of attention to detail.

I was not informed that i would not get a unit size as requested and reserved and only found this out the sat of my move which made the situation stressful. The facility did not even have the unit size that I needed. I then needed to reserve TWO smaller units at a combined higher price than I wanted/needed to pay. There are rodent boxes in the units that may me feel extremely uneasy to store my important and meaningful personal belongings.
