While the location is convenient, most times there is nobody in the building to assist you with anything and you have to walk the lot and look for someone to help. If someone is inside, and there is more than one person you are usually good. Although during one visit, there was a line 4 people deep and only one person was busy helping customers while the second person was on the phone calling people about overdue storage fees. She could have taken a break from that to assist with the customers that were there. Overall representatives are friendly and courteous.Brandi C.
The original truck we reserved was not available so we needed to go with a smaller vehicle. We now have to make 2 trips. There should be better communication prior to pick up if the truck you need is not available. Never again. Staff at local uhaul were 50-50: first guy who helped us was great... then the computer system went down and the order was lost. Came back the next day and other guy couldn't be bothered to get it right nor get us out of the store fast enough. Spent a combined total of 3.5 hrs on hold with the 1-877 # to finally get the order corrected. Day of delivery, Tues, after calling 7 times and being on hold for a combined total of 90 minutes (including several calls that were dropped while on hold), was informed delivery was never scheduled but â€˜next day, first thing for sure'. Next day, multiple calls, still no UBox; granted, there were extenuating circumstances that day but not ONCE did anyone from Uhaul call US. Finally showed up late Thurs a.m., giving us 27 hours to pack instead of 3 days. Surprisingly, pick up and delivery went fine. Based on the majority of the experience, I will not use Uhaul UBox again nor would I recommend them.Amy K.

Actually follow up with the customer when there's a billing dispute and they request a follow up. It's BS to be billed for two days when it's not explained anywhere that a "24 hrs rental" is broken up by calendar days (I.e. a rental at 10AM that is returned at 11pm after hours is billed as two days.BRANDON C.
I booked Uhaul cargo van weeks ahead of time at a location in Lowel, MA. When arrived at the location on the day, there was no van available. I was directed to this location. This created significant difficulty for me on time (Arrived late to the moving location) and had to travel more distance. Uhaul's booking system and local managers need to be more clear and honest, keep the booked vehicles for the customer. I am very unhappy with the booking system.PRAKASH N.

My only problem was that I had an issue with the mobile android app. When I tried to add a photo it got into a bad state after taking the photo and it wouldn't give me the options to save or retry the photo. After attempting it about ten times I got completely out and logged back in and then it worked.Dean M.

The truck appeared poorly maintained , was completely empty of fuel , and smelled like an old ash tray full of cigarette butts . This was due to the ash tray being full of cigarette butts . Non existant shock absorbers did not help the ride quality . The customer service rep was very nice when I brought the truck back and did give me a credit for the fuel I had to provide as I brought it back with 3/8ths rather than on empty .ANTHONY D.

Horrible experience. Confirmed the night before we could pick up our van anytime before one. Had to drive a half hour each way to get there after reserving it two minutes from home. Came at 11 to be told they rented it out last minute that morning even though they shouldn't have. Had to drive an extra hour and of our own gas to come back. Then the manager says there's more than a 1/4 tank gas and it actually is almost on empty so instead of putting gas in it he changes my contract to show it was empty and I have to stop immediately for gas. The car was never cleaned and smelled like an ashtray as did all my daughter's belongings. Also the van said needs oil soon and we are about to drive over 400 miles. So then I'm told it's fine, ignore that. Hands down awful service in every way. Cost us extra money if our own gas twice. And ruined our plans for leaving that day and we lost our helper because the time changed. Super disappointed that there is no accommodation for the customer for this. Instead we are at your mercy because we have to have that van.JUDITH R.

I stopped in to pickup my rental truck, there were two men in the twenties and a woman in her twenties behind the counter, the woman was tickling one of the men, all three did not seem interested in being there, after an awkward 4 to 5 min, they finally started to do their jobs and help people. My trailer rental did not start well. It was not available the day and time I needed it. But Stacie Ball from traffic solved the problem above and beyond my satisfaction. Instead I received a 9 foot van and discounted mileage.Turned out the van was a better fit for my needs. Most reviews are usually bad, but this one turned out to be a wonderful experience. This site purposely closed early when my 10 month pregnant wife called them 15 min before close to explain that I was running late to their location DUE TO ANOTHER UHAUL LOCATION's MISTAKE. AFTER CALLING THEM TO LET THEM KNOW SHE WOULD BE COMING DOWN, they closed 5 min early. Shame on Uhaul for employing lazy workers and shame on you for stressing out a 10 month pregnant woman. I will be looking into legal action due to the incompetence of shown on Saturday Aug. 21st from multiple Uhaul locations and employees.KYLE M.

I was informed from someone at Salisbury that I was going to have to go to Nashua to pick up the truck. However, it seems like the person who informed me did not note down about not changing the price rate for the truck for the other person at the Nashua pick-up, which left a confusing mess with the whole refund transaction. PLEASE COMMUNICATE BETTER WITHIN YOUR DIFFERENT BRANCHES IF SOMETHING LIKE HAPPENS AGAIN...DAVID T.

I booked my truck a week in advance. Went to pick up my truck on my reserved time and they didn't have a truck available for me. After 30 minutes of searching for another truck, the rep found one in another town that's 20 minutes away. She said I'd get a $50 credit for the inconvenience but I have yet to receive that. On top of all of this, I had hired movers through uhaul's website. I had booked the movers for 2 hours. Because uhaul didn't have my truck available, I ended up needing the movers an extra hour which costed me another $130. Uhaul really screwed up on this one! Never again.SONY N.

I was totally devastated after showing up at the Amherst location and being told my reservation for a unit was not honored because they had no units. I had just traveled 1300 miles for 3 days across the country and had nowhere to put my things. I took the chance and headed to the one on Daniel Webster. That’s where I met Shane, and I’m so glad I did! He went above and beyond to make sure that we had the unit we needed, that we didn’t have to use the stairs, and that we were able to return the equipment we rented at this location, instead of the Amherst one. The place was very busy. Once he cleared all customers, and the store was closed, he still came to check on us and make sure we had what we needed. He also helped me make sure I could take the vehicle off the transport trailer. I was a little disappointed about the prices being higher than the other location, but I haven’t seen customer service like that in so long!
