I picked up a truck during non-business hours and the process took far too long. Once I completed what seemed like some sort of scavenger hunt, I was given a lock box number and code. I opened the box and found it EMPTY! The key was not there. Fortunately, some employees were on site. Once I was able to get their attention (they seemed to ignore me at first), they were able to locate the key inside the store. It's not a very efficient way to run a supposedly 24/7 business.Jayne E.

I know times are tough now, but when we went in to pick up the cargo van, there was a line, with only two people working, one that was busy tossing a tennis ball up and catching it while waiting on a customer. When we returned it, there was only one person at the counter working and a line that was growing. Finally that same guy came out from the back, possibly from dinner break. Improve your online rental procedure. Waiting in line for 45minutes to get the keys to the vehicle after completing the online rental procedure is ridiculous! A key locker, in which the customer receives the combination after completing the necessary online steps would make the process much more efficient.Donald C.
The parking lot for equipment return was so tight and equipment(hitches,etc) was everywhere making it impossible to park and not block the entrance. I would not recommend dropping a truck off at this site.nico A.

The two gentlemen (one was Brian, didn’t catch the other’s name to my eternal shame) were brilliant, helpful, and very knowledgeable. They reduced my concerns about moving and made me feel like the most important person in their lives. The fact that they did all this 10 minutes before closing makes them true professionals in my eyes, and deserving of the highest praise. They also made me laugh while navigating a few credit card errors. Wow! These guys are seriously the best. Great service. However, this is the 2nd time I have used your services and I have been charged for items that I didn't use . Back in November 2019 I had reserved a truck and miscellaneous items at one location but only got the truck and never had a refund for the other items I never received. This last time I used your services, I made it clear on your contract that I didn't use your dolly but I was still charged for it. The staff member I worked with was rather rude and difficult to communicate with. He seemed to have a big chip on his shoulder and was condescending in general. He didn't like it when I asked questions. He hitch scheduling and install was flawless how ever, so that made up for itJames B.

The access roAdis unmarked off the highway making me take three trips through the mall to locate the back road to the location. The after hours online check in procedures wouldn't work. I tried three times to log in without success. Tried calling customer service but hung up after 15 minutes first time then ten minutes second time for help completing dropoff. Finall had to leave for my ride. Next morning I cslled to explain problem and was told I wouldn't be charged $20 fee. Within ten minutes I was charged the fee.CHARLES M.

We had the best experience with your employees Brian and Shane. A terrible storm blew through just as we were attempting to pick up our truck. Brian and Shane were in the parking lot, completely soaked from the rain, and trying to clean up debris so that customers could park. Your computer's were down and the power was off so they couldn't rent us our truck at that point but we returned an hour and a half later. They had figured away to operate the store and were doing their best to meet every customer's needs. It was an absolutely impressive experience, and I'm thankful for how hard they worked so that my project could stay on time. I would recommend this location to anyone, and believe that Brian and Shane deserve recognition for their hard work. EeicERIC D.

- the contactless pick up wasn't contactless. - it was 20 minutes into my time, on the phone with customer services when I was told to go inside a receive the keys. Prior to that, and went inside and asked for help and they told me there was nothing they could do for meâ€¦.yet they handed me the keys in the end. - that crew clearly is not fully inspecting their equipment upon return. Nashua was great. They actually bailed me out. Corporate was terrible. I reserved a larger truck on line 2 weeks ahead and found out less than 24 hours prior that it was not guaranteed and actually there was a possibility that the truck wouldn't be there and not at the time I had requested. A guarantee is a guarantee and I will be contacting corporate on their mistake. Nashua on the other hand was great and helpful and was able to help in a pinch. While calling. Around Ayer was super apologetic as well (even though it wasn't there fault). Next time, I will be dealing with the local dealers directly, they clearly are the backbone of this corporation and there needs to be an overhaul of the top. Truck was good . Ordered furniture dollys 2 of them. They only had 1 . I ordered blankets to wrap the piano. No furniture dollys or blankets were put in truck before I left. The employee who made my reservation was very rude, uninformed and at one point told me U-Haul was "doing me a favor" by granting me a 48-hour reservation. I was told when I returned the rental that the original 3rd party made a mistake on my contract. Had to wait a bit longer than expected because when the employee called someone to figure the issue out, they discussed things that were not related to my return and rental, which was a little aggravating when you are running on a tight schedule. I was totally devastated after showing up at the Amherst location and being told my reservation for a unit was not honored because they had no units. I had just traveled 1300 miles for 3 days across the country and had nowhere to put my things. I took the chance and headed to the one on Daniel Webster. That’s where I met Shane, and I’m so glad I did! He went above and beyond to make sure that we had the unit we needed, that we didn’t have to use the stairs, and that we were able to return the equipment we rented at this location, instead of the Amherst one. The place was very busy. Once he cleared all customers, and the store was closed, he still came to check on us and make sure we had what we needed. He also helped me make sure I could take the vehicle off the transport trailer. I was a little disappointed about the prices being higher than the other location, but I haven’t seen customer service like that in so long!
