Needed to rent truck, had to drive past 7 rental places and 10 miles to rent truck. This location had 3 others have zero. I had to pay for 20 miles of driving just to pick up and drop off truck. Need to do better job having equipment spread around town.Robert C.
Have my reserved truck at the location I rented it from instead of sending me to another location. It's your job to make sure the customer has a truck in the location rented from. If not a phone call from UHaul would have been nice.Kim B.

The manager wasn't customer friendly; he was arrogant and talked to customers with a smart attitude. He even made a face behind my husband which he didn't think I saw when asked a question. It's sad when me as a customer has to refrain from saying something negative back to an associate. He was training an employee, and the way he was instructing the guy to do things were rude! Improve your customer service skills and learn how to communicate appropriately to the customers whether we come in with questions or need some help locating items.Earlmondish M.

This was the 3rd location I had to go to to pick up my rental and supplies. The first unit didn't have Dollie's or blankets despite them being on my reservation with no notes to inform me that they never have follies or blankets. The second location didn't have tires for the trailers that were listed as available. They might have told me this on the phone, but I chose not to wait for 27 or more minutes (per the corporate phone system). There was no way to call directly per the web site or original location once I reached the Old Monrovia location, all was good and I was on my way 90 minutes later than desired. The trailer was clean and easy to load. The uHaul hitch seems to be desigend to accommodate any size ball- so it is very noisy and bouncy on the road even once the trailer was loaded. I bought the recommended ball for my hitch and was very disappointed with this. It made the 12 hour drive painful as every bump and undulation in the road sent shivers through the tow vehicle and caused us some concern about the status of our load and vehicle. The hitch was easy to use, but I prefer the security of the right sized ball. The normal hitch arrangement is very simple and I would think uHaul could enjoy sales of the right size ball when needed.Robert S.

Was looking up trucks and trailers online and kept coming up with Nothing Available. My Dad happened to drive by the place by accident when hitting the car wash and saw there was all kinds of trucks and trailers and went in to talk with employee. Long story short everything was available I needed. Employees at location were easy to talk to and informative. Only discrepancy would be is I didn't receive paperwork but I didn't think about it until I returned the truck because I had the info on phone and emails and the employee asked me for itâ€¦but everything worked outJason W.
Would be nice if this and other UHaul locations provided for recycling/disposal of packaging materials (unusable boxes, paper, bubble wrap, etc.) upon turning in rental vehicles.. The Take a Box/Leave a Box station is good for usable materials, but a lot moving supplies reach the end of their life and must be discarded/recycled.Charles B.

I don't like U-Haul's approach to not starting trucks with a full tank. That saves U-Haul some time and expense, but forces the renter to refuel in route even for fairly short one-way rental and then guess at how much gas is needed to return the tank where it started. Initially the truck I was set to receive was one with 1/4 tank. The person at the location helped change me to a truck with 1/2 a tank - or almost half a tank, but I still have to add gas just before reaching my destination. This location and the truck were fine, but in the future I will shop for other rental trucks next time instead of just joining direct to U-Haul as I have always done.Noel P.
First of all, our location was moved about 8 miles away from where I needed to pick it up. Then I arrived and asked where the appliance dolly was for our moved that we reserved and was informed â€œIt's up to them if they want to release them to a client on a one-way moveâ€ because they were running low and only had 3 left they refused to allow me to have a dolly for my move! I made a reservation advanced online and requested an appliance dolly. However, when I got there is was explained that they were out and even though I reserved one, there wasn't one available. It would be helpful if that was communicated or made not an option if that is the case.Zachary B.

VERY DISAPPOINTED, MY WIFE AND I WERE RENTED AN UNSAFE AND POORLY INSPECTED TRUCK! THIS COST US AN EXTRA $250 IN UNEXPECTED HOTEL STAYS AS WELL AS MY WIFES BIRTHDAY WAS RUINED AND WE LOST AN ADDITIONAL $185 FOR TICKETS TO SEE THE 76ERS PLAY THE HORNETS ON SATURDAY DUE TO THE UNSAFE TRUCK DELAY. WHO IS GOING TO MAKE ALL THIS RIGHT????VERY UNHAPPY!!!!ADAM H.

Every person we encountered at the Monrovia Facility was helpful and considerate. The ease of flow between hallways was good. The alarms and cameras gave added assurance that our storage would be safe until we could move it, into our home. The neighborhood corner was so helpful. The only issue that I had with getting a U-Haul was the reservation. When I signed up for it online several days in advance I was informed that it would be at a closer location. The reservation got moved to a location 15+ miles away. I then ended up having to pay more for the rental because of the $0.99/mile charges. Had I known at the time I probably could have rented a larger truck at a closer location and paid the same price. I will know for next time or maybe I will use a different rental company.David S.
