We had a storage unit at this location for almost 1 year while we were waiting for our home to be finished out of state. This location was the most convenient to us, but I would not recommend it to anyone. First of all, the storage unit that was given to us had about a 3 inch gap between the ground and where to door should have closed to the ground. This left it open for higher risk of damage to our stuff from environmental causes. We noticed it was one of few throughout the storage facility that had this problem. When it snowed some of our items up front by the door would get wet and ruined, luckily nothing too important to us as we figured this would be an issue later on. The grounds were never kept clean and clear of glass, nails or other damaging items. We ended up with 2 nails in our tires most likely due to the same nails found near our storage unit left for people to run over without noticing. Also one night we were going through some things in our storage unit and were approached by a uhaul employee who told us we needed to leave because it’s past the access hours. Not in a professional or kind way either. We paid the extra money for the after hours access and after letting her know that she proceeded to call her manager on the phone and after about a 15-20 minute ordeal things got cleared up finally but it was an extremely frustrating experience and horrible customer service. We noticed it was the SAME employee that was living in a broken down RV inside the storage unit gates for months. This made us feel uneasy every time we were there and it looked very trashy almost like a homeless camp. That is EXTREMELY unprofessional to have an employee (or anybody for that matter) living inside the storage unit facility gates. We had another storage unit at a Public Storage not too far from this location and it was GREAT! We put our more expensive and important items in that storage unit and we definitely made the right choice. The unit given to us closed all the way, was very clean and they kept the ground clean and clear. I do not for see us needing a storage unit for a long time if ever again but if we ever did I would never go back to this location and I would recommend to anyone else needing one the Public Storage not far from this location.Rebecca B. | Overall Experience

They are trying to charge me $1300 for a wrong drop off destination that is 60 miles from where they wanted me to drop off the equipment. But my trip of 800 miles cost me $1600 so it's stupid and I will never use UHaul again nor will I recommend them to anyone. And I will spread the word over all my social media accounts that UHaul is a thief and to never trust or use them. Won't crash your business but it should have a negative impct of some sort.PAUL J.
The on-line order was a breeze! When I got to the rental place it was clean and organized. The employees went above and beyond my expectations. My wife showed up to drop off the trailer right before the drop off period closed and the guy working told her to check in online. She didn't have to checkin online (and didn't know there was a difference), which caused her to drop additional $20 plus another random $23 that she didn't need to pay. I have rented from this location many times as I stage houses that I sell. The team that is on site right now is so thoughtful, customer service oriented, thorough and caring I was completely blown away! From the beginning of the rental and what was explained to me more thoroughly than it has ever been done to the graciousness of the customer service workers truly if I could give 10 stars I would give 10 stars to everybody! Truck broke down after 5 hours of driving and turned out to be an issue caused by a neglected air filter. You would think checking the air filter would be a simple routine maintenance item checked every time a truck was going out. Shut us down on the side of the highway for 5 hours and were given no compensation. Truck also smelt like pee and cats.Francis P.

Rental was to be picked up at a different location and when we arrived they didn't have the trailer in stock and told us we had to drive to the other side of town to pick one up. A phone call or email regarding this would have been so appreciated. Arrived at this site while an employee was cursing and arguing with another employee on the phone in front of our kids. Then after finally picking up the trailer and arriving at our location to load it up we realized a 4x7 trailer is not 4 feet wide, it is only 3.5 feet wide. So of course that didn't work out so well. Then they wouldn't allow us to drop off the trailer where we originally were suppose to drop it off, so again had to drive to the other side of town to drop off the trailer the next day. Probably the worst experience with any business in my life time. LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM with many aspects of our experience.Michael H.

This location provided the utmost care and concern. I had a reservation for a trailer but the person who had previously rented the trailer hadn't yet returned it. This location worked like crazy to try to find out when it would be returned and then, when they couldn't reach the renter, were able to find another trailer for me which ended up being a larger trailer but they didn't charge me any extra. They really cared about me and my need for a trailer for our cross country move.Robert E.

Staff were flustered and swearing to each other in conversation as well as forgot to come unlock our unit for 45 minutes after check out. However, we were helped promptly after arriving and there were no logistical issues. I filed a formal complaint about 4849 S Santa Fe with U-haul corporate. I was in that location twice trying to resolve issues. With no resolution, I called corporate. The full details of my concern are detailed there. I’ve used U-haul many times with excellent customer service, so this encounter at store 21 was unusual and shocking. The woman I saw first was seriously unhelpful, stating blatantly false information, refusing to help me, and sending me to another location in error. I was in a second time an hour later and spoke to the manager Mark who refused to even acknowledge his employee’s obvious misstep or the impact on me - or apologize in any way. He actually threatened to turn me away if I didn’t drop the discussion about how his employee completely misinformed and misdirected me in the first conversation. His behavior was aggressive, inappropriate, and starkly unprofessional. I have obvious mobility issues and he mocked me.
