The lady at the register was completely unbearable. She loves to talk which is not helpful when you really just need to get your trailer and go. I have rented 2 trailers. Both needed wd40 to get the wheel tie downs to operate properly. You are out of wd40 and I had to find and purchase my own. This location was so slow and frustrating. I had to remove and park my trailer when I came back. I pulled in to returns and noone came out. So I finally just turned around and backed the trailer in the spot I picked it up. I was called after my return time and the call was hung up before I could pick it up. I tried to call back to tell them I had dropped off 2 hours before but my call was not going to be answered for 20 minutes. So I am hoping they were able to locate and return my rental. I rented a trailer just days before at another facility and things were so much more simple. That lady in the check out....I cannot imagine what it is like to work with her all day. The gal was very friendly, but the guy in the lot was somewhat rude, but I think it was because there was a lot going on and he was by himself. Staff member Mark, recommended a truck unnecessarily large for the job I needed to do. I could have used a smaller vehicle thus it would have had a lower mileage charge. The truck's driver door was in disrepair and did not close completely, and the dashboard/console rattled when driving down the street. The transmission seemed slow to shift, thus the helpful gas usage gauge was at max gas consumption. The engine seemed to be at high rpm at all times.Alison R.

The storage area inside was very dark. I also had a bad experience with Mark where he never checked out my unit so I was receiving past notices and whenever I explained the situation to the rep on the phone they just said they were sending info to the manager and I never received a follow up. We were threatened with a stick by the general manager for no reason. The general manager harassed us as we tried to turn in our uhaul rental when we were taking photos of the truck parking location like we were promted to do on the website. The general manager tried to fight me in front of my children and pregnant wife. We were screamed at and taunted as we tried to get the information needed to report the incident. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I experienced a flat tire on my vehicle while the UHaul trailer was loaded and attached. There wasn't a trailer stand provided with the unit, that would've been helpful. They're usually attached to the tongue of the trailer hitch.KIM T.

Uhaul is incompetent. I flew in to pick upa truck for a one way move.The said truck will be at one location, ( which was an extra 10 miles away from where I needed it)and then they move it to another(250 miles away) and think I will go pick it up! I call and am told it will be at another location 25 miles away. Fine better than 250miles . Then the morning if pick up it was moved again (200 miles away) I'm really made now! I have had to pay extra to stay in town waiting for a truck and then they want me to find a ride to get it 200 miles away!! Then was told I can pick up a truck in a few days 25 miles away. It took them so long I have to pay another months rent on my storage for a total of $308.00 . I should be compensated for at least $500 for my losses and stress. But got the run around and no one returns calls.Steven C.

I filed a formal complaint about 4849 S Santa Fe with U-haul corporate. I was in that location twice trying to resolve issues. With no resolution, I called corporate. The full details of my concern are detailed there. I’ve used U-haul many times with excellent customer service, so this encounter at store 21 was unusual and shocking. The woman I saw first was seriously unhelpful, stating blatantly false information, refusing to help me, and sending me to another location in error. I was in a second time an hour later and spoke to the manager Mark who refused to even acknowledge his employee’s obvious misstep or the impact on me - or apologize in any way. He actually threatened to turn me away if I didn’t drop the discussion about how his employee completely misinformed and misdirected me in the first conversation. His behavior was aggressive, inappropriate, and starkly unprofessional. I have obvious mobility issues and he mocked me.
