So far it has majorly sucked because they are not returning my $100 deposit that I applied when I paid for the equipment! I'm on my way to the Santa Fe and Yale store in Englewood Colorado and I hope they have my money ready!

Have the truck ready, AC working, tuned up as needed. Just the basics. And if there is a problem, roadside assistance should be able to try to fix it rather than just offer to "help" unloading and then loading onto a new truck.

The battery died on the 20 ft truck several times and we had to jump it. In addition a break light/blinker was out. I was pretty disappointed. The staff was great. They were professional and apologetic and we did get a little credit on our final bill.

The guys at the souther location were amazing and more than helpful. HOWEVER, UHaul managed to move my pick up location without contacting me. I was supposed to pick up at 0700hrs, at one location. Was dropped off by my wife on her way to work. I tried to pick up my equipment, and was told my reservation had been moved to two different locations(one for truck and one for trailer) 10 miles away, my new pick up time was 0900, and they couldn’t help me. I called the location on Southern and the guys had a truck for me. I went there to get the truck rather sit in an Uber, in traffic, trying to cross the river. This review in no way negatively reflects the guys at the Southern location. They were as amazing as they could be and helpful. I had to Uber from one location to the next to get the truck because U-Haul refused to make things right or help in any way. The two guys at the Southern location were great. They were friendly, helpful, and fast. After picking up the truck, I drove across town in rush hour traffic to get the trailer. The trailer they had set aside for me was not a vehicle transport trailer, but a car dolly. This wouldn’t work because of my vehicle being all wheel drive. The staff at the second location on 2nd Street, was extremely helpful as well. They got me the right equipment, and I went on my way. U-HAUL NEVER CONTACTED ME TO TELL ME THE RESERVATION HAD BEEN CHANGED. NO TEXT, NO EMAIL OR PHONE CALLS. We tried at all the locations to make sure my contact info, their system, and my phone corresponded with one another, and it did. I had to run around town for 4 hours picking up equipment, putting added miles on the truck, and waiting time. I am now a Penske Rental customer. I’ll go out of my way to use someone else’s equipment rather give U-Haul more money. It would have been an inconvenience but wouldn’t have been a huge issue if I had just been contacted by someone and told what was going on.

Nothing! Originally I had gone to a different location to pick up a trailer and they did not have the size that I needed. This location immediately got my Rez and right away they were able to locate the trailer that I needed. Staff went above and beyond. I was in and out on pick up and drop off. Very professional staff at this location.

Moving in was a pleasant experience. The gentleman who helped us was more than just helpful. Clean facilities as well as wonderful security measures. I would recommend this to anyone.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only suggestion I might have is when you walk in the front lobby you have to walk down an row of moving supplies to get to the register. Maybe make the path to the register a little easier. This is our second time renting from this location and are so pleased we will be storing our camper here in the near future.

Your customer service line told us that our boxes would be delivered on Friday and I called and confirmed Friday morning that they would be showing up that day. When they still had an arrived by the end of the day, I called again and after a half an hour learned that they were never scheduled for delivery. We ended up with no beds to sleep on and had to drive all the way across town to tow a single box with our own vehicle. We will never again be renting from U-Haul.

The program that is used for U-Haul is awful. The first reservation I made it took me 7 phone calls and a lot of time on hold to get it all corrected. The people were great but somehow the system seems to be very outdated. Having a third party “movinghelp.com” really doesn’t work smoothly. Now the movers I was super satisfied with but I had to micromanage the whole reservations. U-Haul needs to update their system.

The amount of dirt and black widows in my storage unit was ridiculous! They give you a 4 day grace period for payment but 1 DAY after my payment was due they blew up my phone demanding payment.

The system for contacting stores is broken. I tried and tried to get through to them to schedule a pickup and the call center never could. Eventually I took the 90 minute drive to try it and the staff worked things out, but I just got lucky. The store was fine, but the corporate office end of it seems to be the problem. This was a smaller issue but also came up when I used uboxes two years ago. Fix the system!!!

On line account information only contained information for the first part of the move. In Nebraska. The information at the destination location, Albuquerque is not on the system. I have not been able to obtain receipts for storage of the U-Boxes used in the move. I received 10 separate emails (one email for each U-Box) from U-Haul facility in Rio Rancho, NM (where the boxes were stored) stating a payment for room # AAxxxxx (the U-Box number) in the amount of $xx.xx has been applied to your account. I cannot find the receipt for these payments on the system. I have tried several times calling the number listed on the emails 505-891-3459 but have not been able to talk anyone at that location. I get transferred to another person who takes overflow calls. I have called 3 times and the same thing. Assistance in getting the receipt for the storage would be greatly appreciated.

The staff at the Rio Rancho office are very nice. Unfortunately, after my boxes had been picked up, I continued to get charged for storage fees. I had to make several calls and the resolution is pending. Also, it is very difficult to get through on the number for the Rio Rancho location. They seem very busy and maybe they need an extra person to help answer the phone there.

I preordered a trailer on line, and when I went to pick up it wasn't there. Ender up driving to pick up and return. Not their fault.

Love the new self check in/out using your phone. Takes about the same amount of time but you are in control of the experience. Plus I could turn in my truck after business hours at my convenience. My only criticism is that I was missing a utility dolly so I had to run inside and ask for assistance.

I originally booked a U-Haul at a different location but wasn’t contacted until the Friday before my reservation (Sunday) to inform me the location would be closed. I had to redirect my reservation to a location further away and reserve a larger truck, because the size I had originally reserved wasn’t available there, costing me more money in mileage and for the truck rental. This was an inconvenience, cost-wise.

Rented a truck with less than 1/4 gas tank! and they noted in the on the invoice it had more. I took a picture of the dashboard with the exact measurement and deal with it at return since their check out process was really weird. I was told different stories about the check out process and then i had not help. I will go to the ABQ location instead for my next service need.

A few thoughts... I made the reservation at one location and the day before I was supposed to pick up the truck, it had changed locations. I realize that the entire reservation system is likely based off of truck availability but it just seems a little too convenient that Uhaul charges per mile and then has the ability to make someone pick up a truck at a location that is farther away. Also, when we got there, the 17ft truck that we had reserved was not available so we got stuck with a 20ft truck instead. We also tried to use the mobile check in and it didn't work... so we got stuck at the counter for about 45 minutes to get our truck. Overall it was a pretty disappointing experience.

The check-in process has too many steps and by the time I inspected the vehicle the links texted to me had expired so the agent had to complete the check-in after I left leaving me to trust he recorded the pre-existing damage I reported.

This qas the 2nd uhaul i visited today, the girl vehimd counter was great ( I never git her name) but she qas amazing, the dirst place i went to was in Bernalillo and they were gonna charge me about 144 dlls and when i was finished i only paid 74 dlls she took her time with me and explained my options and i was very happy and satisfied, shout out to girl behind the counter, she deserves a WOW card from my work, lol

Nice people but we were delayed by 45 min after calling a day ahead to set up a 9am arrival to empty the U-Box. The box was not out and no awareness of our appt. Had to wait for two semis to unload.
