Phenomenal customer service from Topher. He was so nice and kind. We experienced some awful road and bad weather conditions on our way to Arizona. It took us an extra 8-10 hours of driving to get here. We were tired and worn out and Topher made everything easier returning the trailer and truck. I gave a 5 star rating on google and I will highly recommend this location

Agent lied and said the gas was lower than what it was and charged me $16 before I even left the parking lot. When I asked him what happened he claimed it was an accident and I would receive a refund

This U-Haul dealership cheated me with the mileage! They told me that I went over 77 miles on top of the 20 miles that I gave as appropriate miles that I may use. I have a receipt to prove that this U-Haul branch is a cheater as I only put $1.75 for a gas refill! My place to the storage and their location is not beyond 20 miles!!!

The experience started horrible and progressed further to I CAN'T MAKE THIS UP. I was given a vehicle with no ramp. This is a moving company with trucks that have no ramps or appliance dollies. Everything had to be lifted into the vehicle and I had a refrigerator also. I thank God for all the help a long the way because it was just me and my elderly mother. The staff was very disrespectful and nonchalant about not having the items I ordered then added items to my order that I did not need when I asked why was my total more than my on line order I was told it automatically adds items to your order. Wow really ok NEVER AGAIN .

Forcing people to download an app in order to get a discount or to use one of their services is not a good look for any company. It ranks the same as holding someone hostage to get what you want. The process of checking in your equipment rental after hours is something an employee should be responsible for, even if they have to do it the next day.

The attended that assisted me in renting the truck added insurance to the order after I verbally declined. When I asked why the total was so much higher than what was listed as the rental price, she said it was “just a mileage estimate” and the final total would be less. I noticed on the rental contract that insurance was added anyways. She told me that she went in and removed the insurance, but she couldn’t reprint the contract without deleting it and starting all over, but assured me that it was taken off the order. Now after my order has been completed, I can see that I was still charged for the insurance. The truck was clean and in good working condition, so I was able to get my move done easily, but if you’re going to this location, I urge you to review your contract to make sure they’re not adding anything to your order without permission.

I had a really bad experience in returning the van that I rented I was overcharged 3miles more and I tried to explain to one of the workers His name is troper campbell he was rude and not knowledgeable you can see the cameras of your business more often and check on this person how bad he treated the customers. I explained to him that the reading of the odometer was Wrong in his computer I took a picture of the odometer and I showed to him he didn’t care at all .When I pick up the van and it was different from the paper he gave me he over charged me 3 miles and I tried to explain that , he said to me that he could not do nothing to that even when I was showing him proof that it was wrong . He responded rude and inappropriate in front of other customers I felt harassed by this man. He was arguing with me about how wrong I was .I will not recommend this location to any of my friends or anyone.I have had business with U haul for always I have always preferred uhaul I never had a situation like this before in any other location I Im so disappointed I had to go to a different location to get explained why that situation happened and I why got overcharged. finally a manager name Victor on scottsdale rd and camelback location was nice and explained all the charges.It was not necessary for me to go to a different location to get a good explanation of the error you guys made. also I need to mention that when I first rented the van I was not told about the inspection I needed to do before leaving the parking. I took pictures my self just to make sure Everything was good.I reserved the van and a unit in advance to make everything easier I took time of mine to do it and make it easier for either ways. Also the man named Troper campbel when I arrived to return the vehicle when he saw me walking to the office told me , in a not caring matter ,that I could leave it there (the van) and I was going to receive a email for my return with out even checkin the van or my charges. Overall not pleased with the service. I heard this man rude and aggressive troper campbell is an assistant manager I cannot imagine how the manager is.👎👎👎👎👎👎

Picked up the vehicle had issues with the van when I picked it up try to leave issues with the key gentleman went and did something with the key comes back out starts the van said no there's no issues as I insisted I wanted a different van he said I don't know where the keys are or they're at this time I'll have to look for them very poor miss management need to stop hiring these kids

In following the U-Haul reps instructions I stopped my Jeep so that he could take the trailer off. Once he lifted it, it rolled forward where he couldn't hold it back and hit the back of my car permanently marking up the paint. Very frustrating.

Key retrieval process did not work at all. In the instructions, it just said “null.” Staff were confused but after some discussion, we’re able to help. I thought I was doing a fully-self-service van share process. I got yelled at for trying to put the van back where I found it. Staff was super rude.

The trailer was covered in what appeared to be dried up mid. The Ratchets hardly worked and would not release the straps. For almost $80 for an auto transport rental this is absolutely unacceptable I will be calling in to customer service to get some sort of resolution. Having to use an extra strap of my own because the equipment is not up to pare is not worth $80 I'm rental. If customer service or management sees this, my number is on file, feel free to call me.

The entire experience was stressful. I was told by the U-Haul phone rep that the storage unit would be bigger than the U-Box but it was not. I don't believe the space is big enough. I will find out soon enough. Topher went above and beyond the call of duty, and knew what he was doing. He showed patience and grace towards me and my son.

Like usual, always happy with my U-Haul experiences, the young lady who were believe her name was Kayla who helped me take care of a previous issue. That was my fault with a reservation. She took care of that problem and made my entire move-in process go very smoothly me out with a lock in the gate and a couple other things.

Asked for a climate controlled unit. When I arrived after office hours to move in I realized it was not climate controlled. I was in a bind and had to go ahead and move my things in the unit I was assigned. I have not been able to stop by during business hours to discuss the issue.

Jazmine was Awesome. I had a very tough time with Uhaul with this rental. I rented a 15’ truck and tow dolly combination from Las Vegas NV to Tempe Az. I was told I would receive 1 FREE month of Storage, they gave me a place to do that. Except when I went there, the gentleman that worked there said they have never offer the free month rentals. I was originally supposed to return the truck to Tempe, then it changed to Scottsdale, then it got switched to Phoenix which was 25 miles away ( the truck got 7-8 miles a gallon at $4.25 a gallon). I called the 800 number and they told me to go to this store at 800 N McClintock Dr in TEMPE. That is where I met Jazmine. I was getting upset with Uhaul because of all the running around they were making me do. She was happy to get me the free month of storage ( I had to get renters insurance, $7.95 a month). She told me to call Uhaul again and see if they would switch my return to her store instead of me having to drive 25 minutes. She made my experience a lot better. She did an amazing job. Thank you

Had multiple issues with management and having a kick half cut off and not able to get into my unit to get my passport could never get a hold of the manager and was just charged for a full month despite being moved out and forgot to call and would not get a refund for the month I was just charged for. Storage unit door was never fixed even after reporting it to the office. Extremely hard to open it - rubber on bottom of door hanging off it and door itself very difficult to lift open. Difficult to maneuver in and out of facility due to too much rental equipment blocking driveways in out and inside facilities.

This is hands down the worst storage facility experience I’ve ever had. Staff wasn’t helpful. Are storage door was really damaged and when we told them they just ignored it. Also my storage was broken into and nobody ever really helped out. When I called corporate to find out the status of my situation. They had not been informed of what had happened. Apparently the employee that reported the incident never properly informed corporate about the incident. I’m very disappointed in how uhaul chose to handle this situation. It appears to me that this was a inside job because whoever broke into my storage knew my code and only targeted my unit. No other unit was broken into. So no I will not ever recommend this place to anyone.

Regarding the Mcclintock storage: NEGATIVE STARS for management communication. I had a storage locker for my child who attends ASU. I was driving through Tempe to collect the stuff and return home. All I wanted to know was if my gate card had a numerical code in which I could use if the card did not work. That's all. A thirty second phone call. I called the McClintock phone number three times, each time on different days, at different hours as it said while on hold they were "busy". Really? That busy? They couldn't answer it and say we are slammed busy, we'll be right there to help you. Each time I was on hold for more than 15 minutes. NO ONE picked up or picks up the phone. After the 15 minutes of holding I was then transferred to a national call center who told me they left messages for the manager or employees at Mcclintock to call me back. NO ONE CALLED ME BACK. NOT AN EMAIL. NOT A TEXT. NOTHING. It's always funny how a business is happy to take your money but when it comes time for customer support everyone just happens to be busy. If I was late on my payment, managers/employees find the time for late fees and collection centers. My final time I called, I stayed I hold yet again for yes, you guess it 15 minutes. And yes, I was transferred one more time. This time though it was to Neferti Hernandez. She took my information and even emailed and texted the McClintock manager to contact me through email, phone or text. Once again. NO ONE did. They couldn't give me 30 seconds of their time. Now If I were to give Neferti Hernandez a rating: 50 STARS. Yes fifty. I hope this email or response finds a way to her manager as she deserves praise. Uhaul is beyond lucky to have a polite, considerate, friendly, responsible person who was competent. I could write 100 more positive adjectives about her. The manager at McClintock should call Neferti Hernandez and learn how 2 minutes of being helpful goes a long way. Manager at McClintock Uhaul, please remember, you are not the only storage facility in Tempe. In business, you're only as good as your last job. You make hard working people like Neferti look bad. She did her job, you need to step up and do yours.

This facility needs major work as far as customer service is concerned. Every time I called the facility, no one answered the phone and I would be automatically connected to the corporate office. Living out of state temporarily and being unable to connect with the office staff where my storage unit was, made for a very uneasy feeling and had me constantly worried, until just yesterday when I was able to clean and close out my unit. Tony, the previous manager, was the best employee this location had. I would never recommend this location in general, whether it be for a moving truck, storage facilities or even moving supplies, to anyone I know, as I would hate anyone I know to feel the way I had. Best of luck to this location and it’s dire need of quality customer service skills.

Everything with you guys has been great till we got their Friday to empty the unit. Two guys working on Friday 8/14 around noon were beyond rude , not helpful, and very unprofessional. My son, Sean went to the counter politely told the two guys that he left his key at home (in California) could they help him get into his unit. One guy looked at the other guy rude and sarcastic and said "what can we do? " They pretty much said we can't help you at ALL period. My son asked can a locksmith help? Can you recommend a locksmith if so? They said" No " and "No"... Just rude and unprofessional. Then, when I stepped up they said it's a liability. That is fine to me, but I'm sure they've been in this situation before and could of had a different approach and been more helpful.. If I were in your shoes, I wouldn't want these two being the face of my business. Makes your business look very bad! I would think twice about getting rid of these two.

I kept on receiving notice of not paying when u received a free month. I called twice and still got emails including my amount due and late fee. Even after calling we were told we left the lock on it. This is not true because I have the lock in the glove box of my Honda. We had trouble opening the door and even got locked out of it.
