I had made a reservation on Tuesday for 8 am. I have the email showing this. I had to call into the customer service desk to add a trailer to the reservation which took over an hour but no big deal. They had to move me to a different store. Also no big deal. I show up after driving 3 hours the night before and staying in a hotel, at 8am and I am told my reservation is not until 10 and I'd need to wait. Ok, well that's still not that big of a deal. As I started asking inquiring questions I come to find out that they do not have a truck for me. No store within 45 miles has a truck for me. AND I NEVER GOT A PHONE CALL OR NOTIFIED THIS WAS THE CASE. I am glad I did not wait two hours to find out this information. After over an hour wait I was able to secure a DIRTY AND MUDDY trailer. The guy brought me my dollys but left them there for me to load myself. So I leave with a tiny trailer and no 26' truck like I had originally reserved. I will likely never do business with Uhaul again and I will make sure to tell everyone who will listen about my experience and then about the experience I had at Penske in which they were able to secure the truck I needed at the last minute.Nicholas P.

Reserved equipment 3 weeks prior to my pickup date. Arrived on reserved date and was told the truck had gone in for repairs earlier that week and didn't have one available or another in town except a one way truck. Your agent refused to rent that one to me. After more than 2 hours and arguing with several other agents I finally was able to get a truck. This shouldn't be so hard. The location I rented the truck from should have called me and informed me of the situation. Totally ridiculous and unprofessional. At this point I feel that your company should reimburse me part or all of my rental fees.Michael B.

Uhaul's policy of calling someone to verify I'll bring the equipment back is moronic. What if I didn't have any friends? What if I was trying to get away from my spouse and don't know anyone? What if the guy running the register is a psychopath and starts harassing my wife? I mean, I gave him her number in order to rent a trailer. As little as I rent from Uhaul, I'd rather them run a credit check. Guess maybe it's time to buy my own MC trailerCorey M.

Your online check process is worthless and a waste of time. This is the 2nd time I have completed the entire online check-in process and gotten a confirmation, but when I get to the store still takes about 45 minutes for the associate to redo almost everything again. The U-Haul battery died twice. Which caused us to be behind which cost me $150 because my movers could not move my belongings in the U-Haul. And I had to rent the movers for another hour because the U-Haul was dead.Chesley C.
I was maybe 5 minutes late returning the rental and was charged for a whole second day and second day of insurance. Wow! I even called to tell them that I was stopping for gas and then would be there. All of the employees were still at the store and I handed them the keys. I can see being charged something, but $55 extra dollars is a bit much for 5 minutes past the return time.Lea S.

Truck was in poor condition. It had over 130,000 miles, the steering didn't feel right, and the transmission didn't work properly. I wouldn't feel comfortable driving it very long distances. I think I'll use Penske trucks from now on. They seem to be in better condition, albeit more expensive.Gaylen B.

The 10' truck I rented at first sight looked great. After loading it and getting on the road I learned differently. The seats are not adjustable, they sit practically straight up and after awhile they are uncomfortable. The windshield leaked above the rear view mirror. The transmission made bad noises and made me feel it would break down anytime. The shocks need replaced, the vehicle bounced the entirety trip. That combined with the vehicle wanting to wander made controlling it difficult at times. Just happy we made it without incident. I would not recommend this company for a long distance trip.ken A.

The online check-in was easy and the employees at this location are very friendly. The issue I had was during the move-in process I saw no less than nine roaches. Four crawling on the walls, four on the ground in my unit and in the hallway, and I even had one on a box sitting in the hallway that I went to pick up and move into the unit. Had I not been severely limited with time because of my upcoming deployment I would have refused the move-in and gone elsewhere. There's clearly an infestation and no pest control. I'll have to fumigate everything in the unit before I can move it into a new apartment when I come back from deployment.
