No complaints although there were price increases during my 4 month stay. It’s a business so understand. Wish there was an option for electricity in a unit to keep vehicle batteries charged. I would pay more for that option.
All personnel were very helpful and professional. In the future I wouldn’t hesitate to use this U-Haul location. I wish all businesses standards were as high as this one. Nice job!
Truck was not prepped, parked in a horrible place, snow / ice was not scraped off, payed for an appliance dolly that was not put in the truck
Although my booking said I was supposed to be able to pick up using the cell phone check in process, this wasn't the case. I stood in line for at least 30 minutes to be told it was because no one had assigned me a truck yet. This was about 45 minutes after my assigned pick up time. Luckily they did have a truck for me. The guys were nice but seemed like there should have been a few more of them. The parking lot wasn't plowed so there were huge amounts of snow at the entrance making it very hard to accelerate to leave the parking lot. The return was very easy though and they had a nice area to leave my car while I had the truck.

All customers and EMPLOYEES MUST wear mask at all times it doesn't matter what your race is. The sign pn the door says mask required
Rude. Very slow. Walk in, there were 2 people in line being helped. Waited 45 minutes for them to to get a trailer and a truck for someone. Worst experience I've ever had at u haul and I rent probably 10+ times a year. Last time I will go to this location. I got a 6 by 12 open trailer. The wheel bearing was clearly bad. The front wheel on drivers side was wobbling like crazy thank god I only had to go a few miles. Poor maintenance and worthless help. Don't go to the u haul I. Walerly rd in Lansing.
The truck was clean It was missing the left front turn signal, that I noticed during my walk around inspection with your uhaul associate and brought it to his attention. Pick up/drop off was easy Thanks
After I had loaded the truck I realized in traffic that the rear tires were balled. I spinned out of control almost causing an accident twice!

worst experience I have ever had with uhaul probably will never use again and I have been using uhaul for fifty years. I rented an auto transport for 1 day and that was on the contract I received on line . I made a copy so do not try to alter it. When i was getting the equipment I did say in passing I maybe done in less than a day but never agreed to to return the equipment early. The agent Marquies Harrias decided on his own to change the return time from 3:45pm to 12noon. He called ne about 2pm and rudely told me I was late returning the trailer and that he was charging me a second days rental. I called uhaul costomer service and was told that a case was being opened and that someone would try to contact the waverly road manager. no one contacted the manager and when I returned the agent Marquis Harris came out and rudely again checked in the trailer I argued with him and he said he was charging me a second day and if I continued to argue he would charge me another 80 dollars for the late return. I am not an attorney but my brother is and Michigan consumer protection laws prohibit "double rentals" which was done since I paid for two days of rentals on the same equipment in the same 24 hour period. As listed in the original rental contract I made and gave a credit card to secure my reservation. Making that the binding contract not the arbitrary change made with out approval from me by the agent. BUYER BEWARE OF THESE GUYS or you may have to pay double
Staff was quick and efficient
The staff weren't wearing masks which made me very frustrated and uncomfortable. I shouldn't have to worry about my safety when picking up a uhaul.
It's absolutely absurd that not a single human in this store had a mask on with the exception of the young woman who had or around her neck, while proceeding to cough. There's a pandemic people.
Staff were very helpful to me.
The employee who helped me out went above and beyond to make sure that our trailer was correctly setup and also helped me install an adapter to get the correct plug wiring configuration. I would highly recommend him, and will seek him out in the future. I strongly encourage you to provide some employee recognition. My wife was so impressed she asked if we could take him some lunch, so we did!
Smooth drop off. We pulled up and someone came out quickly to get the keys from us.
Only one employee was wearing a mask and it only covered his mouth not his nose. Most of the customers in there didn't have masks either. They were not encouraged to wear one by the employees either. To me that this is not acceptable especially in a place where people come and go from who-knows-where because they're moving in our moving out
The odometer was inaccurate. I was charges more mileage than I used and the employees wasn't interested in hearing my issue. I was felt very frustrated and humiliated by them.
Adonis and Marquis did a great job of meeting my needs in a timely fashion. As I company, I hate U-Haul's new do-it-yourself mentality for check out.
Very busy place
Service was spectacular. MMmkay!. Store was clean employee's where friendly and helpful. Mmkay!. I would absolutely recommend this location for any and all moving needs. Mmkay!.
Employees did not wear face masks, did not know what they were doing, and were joking with each other instead of helping me
Clean equipment. And follow the covid restrictions/law. No one wore masks and it smelled of pot so bad i had to step back.
Make sure staffing levels are adequate based on reservations.

The truck we were given was deafening. Could not hear your phone ring, or listen to radio. Had to drive it about 400 miles so I'm sure the 'whats' after the drive were accredited to the truck. Not sure how you can reject a Truck for noise till after you have driven it. . reporting to the desk, did not seem to phase the clerk.
They overcharge you make you put down a deposit and claim you will get it back but you don't

I used the app to drop off. It was very helpful.
Make sure your employees are trained and have a good understanding of your system and services. Encountered three different people and each time information was always different. From price to how it works. It started out costing me (according to the first person) $140 it ended up costing me $300. The information I gave them each time was the same. Big difference!!! Once it was on the phone and two times in person. So make sure you have all the information in writing so you aren't taken!

I will use U-Haul whenever I need moving assistance or storage. I have always had a very positive experience renting trucks, trailers and storage. You all are great and the customer service is always very warm and helpful. Thank you!
Had to contact customer service 3 times as well as show back up to the location after I dropped off the van a few hours prior. It took forever to receive a final bill, no one closed out my account, and I was charged for an overnight fee although the van was brought back on time. After several attempts I had to drive back to the location to get the issue resolved and the proper charge to my account.
The gentleman that helped us was very friendly and gave us good instructions.
The drop-off process was easy and quick, the staff was very friendly, however; the person helping us did not wear a mask.
Chuck/Charles helped me with my order/services. He was exceptional with the services I needed. He didn't rush me through the services as if trying to get it over with and just send me off. There is no doubt, Charles needs to be a manager and a least a training manager. When I returned with the trailer, he made it a personal point to come out and immediately assist in the return. Not only did he detached the trailer without issue he also communicated with me. He put a smile on my face when he complimented my red 2018 Tahoe. And we both had a thing in common with motorcycles. In fact, it motivated me to buy a Harley Davidson cover cap for my hitch. Promote Charles! Going forward I will brag to others about him and about the professional service he provided!! Thank you Charles. The red Tahoe guy!!
Everything was great .... and smooth. Great counter clerk when I arrived to pick up the rental trailer as he assisted me with a light adapter.
We called to reserve the truck and requested the location on S.Cedar in Lansing. Went to pick it up and found it was at the Waverly location. Truck tires were bald so we got stuck in a small amount of snow. This prevented us from driving to our desired unloading location because we knew we would get stuck so we had to haul everything a LONG way. They're also must be a leak in the roof because some of our boxes got wet and we're ruined. Not impressed at all.
The staff checking me in and getting the trailer showed great customer service. The only thing I wasn't comfortable with was when I brought the unit back after Sunday hours I could not find any way I could be sure that the unit return was recognized. How is a trailer return after hours checked back in?

The manager was very helpful and respectful. He really help me out so much and the rest of the staff was very nice and friendly.

Pick up and drop off went smoothly. U-Haul employees hookEd up trailer to my vehicle and made sure it was safe. They were very knowledgeable on U-Hauls products and services.
Marquise helped me and did a fine job at fixing a mistake that uhaul had made prior to my pick up time. Marquise made my experience pleasant and I enjoyed his sense of humor! My overall experience was a good one. Easy to drive truck. When need be, I will be a return customer.
Staff not wearing MASKS, this is a mandate in Michigan. This location is not following DHHS mandates.
The late fee is too high.
I had no problems. The help was great. One thing to mention is to tell renters to be SURE and read the warnings of do's and don'ts on the car dolly like I rented. No backing up and so on.

the vehicle was not clean at all in side and out side i feel like i should get some of my rental money back i had to sweep the back of the vehicle out my self this is not a good look for Uhaul

I would never go back to this storage unit. The people are rood on the phone and with the pandemic going on the company itself is selfish. Some people have gone through hard times and you people will not work with anyone. It's all about money.

Not only were you the ONLY company that charged additional "fees" during Coronavirus. When I moved my items out. I had to call three times half hour on hold each time. Was then told I had to come in to office to sign papers. I had already moved 3 hours away. It took multiple calls to resolve. WHY would your company WANT people to come into the building to sign during an pandemic?
Unit was VERY clean. Some of your staff are very helpful and friendly, others could use some work in this area.

I just needed some short term storage and the location had great availability, convenient access and hours. Overall I was very happy. The only thing that could have been better was that the gasket on the roll up door was worn through in some areas and it made the door very difficult to open and close. Other tahn that everything was great.

I would prefer to have 24 hour access to the climate control storage spaces. Additionally, I was surprised to see a rodent trap in our bin and will be checking to see how and who will be periodically checking the trap for removal of any rodents since I am the holder of the key for the lock? There was no mention of this when we rented the bin.

Uhaul was nice but the man who checked me out was on his personal phone having a conversation the entire time trying to help me and had to reask me questions because he wasn’t paying attention

I was a customer for ten years and mice ate my couch and mattresses and the drippings were everywhere. I ended up having to take most of my items I was housing to the dump. Very disappointed
The local staff is great, but major computer issues because of U-haul national home office computer system problems affected their ability to do their job locally.

My contact was called (and I wasn’t) and made aware that my bill was not paid (a week late). Sharing my billing info inappropriate. Never do business here again.

I had one major issue. When my credit card number changed I was never notified about the failed payment and given a chance to fix it until I received a cancelation and had to pay a fee to get it back.

Well ive been gone since around sept. 13 or 14 still receiving stuff saying i was still being billed called and talk to someone they said management would call im still waiting for a call or email.
My only criticism is your policy of not providing prorated months to tenants who move after a partial month. You guys can earn double on the space for a number of days. Seems like an unethical policy.

It would be nice to have access till 8pm. The few times that I needed a later access, the staff was very courteous and accommodating.
After making reservations and moving from one location to another, on arrival they did not have the storage unit we reserved we had no option but to rent a much larger unit at a greater cost to us.
I think refunds should be refunded if moved by due date

My outside storage facility had easy access for me to pack and unpack. The staff was great! I would highly recommend this U-Haul.
The wait for a person to service you was too long
The storage facility is infested with rats! Their droppings were everywhere. It was so bad that I was forced to dispose of my sofa upon moving out. I could not bring myself to sit again.
Long line to check in, only one employee in store.
Several times, the check in/out system did not work. I paid for extended access, and when the system didn't work, I couldn't access my items. On one occasion, I found the outside door wasn't locked.
you moved my things out of the storage then you have violated my rights and I will be sueing this company I have been waiting for a call from the supervisor and never have I gotten a email call
The manager is hostile, the after-hours access sets off an alarm every time because they will not fix the card reader, and the staff never picks up the phone even when there are no customers in store.

When we went to empty the unit we had to move our truck during the process of loading to make room for someone else, when all the staff had to do was move a personal vehicle. Very inconvenient for us
