Do not let printouts from your website have anything other than WHITE background--your printouts waste printer ink. Service that shifter on the truck--kind of scary that one. Your people are great, your systems might need some work.

NICOLE SThe system to return a vehicle definitely needs to be corrected. It only gives you you one alternative to complete the check in and that's to get a check. I did not pay with a check, I would like my money back as I have it. The gas only gives you a plus or minus symbol to indicate where the gas mileage is. Mine was literally a tad bit off from where it actually was and they tried to charge me $20 extra. Ummmm no. Then I had to sit and wait an extra 15 minutes waiting on another manager or whoever just to get my money that is entitled to me. Not cool and then I have to be at work clear across town in less than 30 minutes🙄 .

JERRY WThe utility trailer we pre-ordered was stuck in deep snow and snow-covered when we arrived to pick it up. The hitch was frozen and it took 35 minutes to get it thawed enough to use. The staff tried to be helpful and that was good.
GLORIA RThe folks at Waverly U-Haul gave me service way over the ordinary! Very kind and helpful in every way. I also received outstanding packing and moving help from Soul Diamond movers, who are on the U-Haul website. They added packing time for me at the last minute which saved me, but made them late for their next job, resulting in a poor review. I can't recommend this company more highly. They were very competent, honest and professional. You can't go wrong using Soul Diamond for your next packing, moving and/or unpacking labor!

john f | Overall ExperienceThe uhaul truck smelled like maurijana very strong it’s all I could smell my entire trip. The truck died once shut off I had to call roadside for assistance luckily after ten minutes it did start. This was not a good experience and I felt like a portion of my money should have been offered back but when I returned the person didn’t seem phased at all.
Nikole SThe truck I rented was so old, it had over 200 thousand miles on it and took forever to accelerate. The breaks were going out and I did not feel safe at all. The folks working were very nice and helpful.
April CReserved 24x7 - key wasn’t put in key box and we didn’t learn this until arrival. Directions were to go to the back left of the lot for the truck. After trekking to the back of the lot, it was actually right up front. Better quoting on pricing. After shopping options, part of the decision was on price. Final price was significantly higher than expected and higher than other options.
MICHAEL WI rented a 5x8 trailer for a one-day apartment move. The entire experience was positive. Danielle at the desk helped with the early reservation. She was pleasant, professional, and efficient. Frank and Jason helped on the day of pickup and dropoff. Both were very professional and helpful.

HOWARD AFor the 3rd consecutive time I've gotten a truck, the APP doesn't work for the return! I can sit in the parking lot, use your internet and it doesn't allow for me to return! When I picked up the unit the trailer door was frozen shut and had to use a tire iron to open. Neither cab door would close without 3 very hard attempts!
JEFFREY TWas behind two customers that took 5-10 minutes each to help. I just wanted to return my keys but couldn’t find the return lock box (maybe make that easier to find) and had to go inside for help.

LORI D | Overall ExperienceWell first off when it was really really cold out I tried to get into my storage unit and the key broke in the lock the staff was very unhelpful stating that I had to spend $300 on a locksmith to get it open because I wasn't allowed to have the lock cut off would do to damage of the door which the door on my unit was already damaged somebody else had already damaged never been replaced or repaired or anything like that so yeah other than that it was fine except the rates are too way too high

Uhaul is making a double profit, very bad business and I will not be returning for any services. I'm very upset about this. I have used Uhaul many times and am now quite disappointed. (note that the staff I interacted with during my time there were friendly, my issue is with the lack of reimbursement which I completely disagree with)

Received an email that U Haul had charged my credit card. So I went into the store and was told that I owe for the insurance on the FREE month and I wouldn’t owe anything until January. I asked how did we get to January? Let’s straighten out November because I didn’t authorize you to charge my card. She told me that she couldn’t reverse it. I thought this was poor customer service & the payment should have been reversed. I’m not happy with U Haul.

I was told I would have one month free storage, which I don't feel that I got because the fee for the moving truck was the price of the storage unit plus a little extra. The vehicle I rented smelled like wet dog which made all of my stuff smell like wet dog. I altered the office manager at the storage facility. He called whoever he had to call, and I was told to leave the truck at the storage place. The next day my card was charged for not returning the truck to the original office. I put in a complaint and then was dodged by the manager at the original office and the manager at the storage center was no longer the manager to help me get a refund. Plus I told office many times that my address was wrong on my paperwork. By the time I got it fixed I was so far in the hole with storage fees because I forgot about it with everything else I had going on in my life and really needed the reminder messages.

The employee name on my Customer Receipt (751025-112955-209668) says Analisa Gordon. I hope that is the person I am speaking of. In my encounters with her, she provided excellent customer service and professionalism to a degree I am not used to in these modern days. I could not say enough good things about her. She should be the head of Customer Service training for your organization. At the least, she deserves some recognition for exceptional attention to the needs of your customers.

Also, it started to smell like Marijuana clearly from the staff ( I saw them) over the last few months which is just a turn off for a professional place of business. Everyone was always nice and helpful but I always wondered if my things would be in my unit or if I’d have to go on a search.

I called customer service again and they said that was incorrect after they got me out of $270!!!! It doesn't make any since that they made me pay for a storage that will be empty!!! The GM NEVER returns any messages or calls!!! They can't do nothing right and always gives you wrong information and over charging me. Now I'm fighting to get my money back for a storage that is empty and had been paid for, for 30 days!!! Horrible customer service

Continuously walking past, stocking shelves instead of helping actual customers. No one is friendly at this location and service is about what you’d expect from people who hate their jobs.
Todd D | Overall ExperienceSome how my reservation information & identification was lost or input incorrectly, On several occasions my attempt to pay my rental at the Waverly facility was met with, " I'm sorry you are not in the system", which drove me to contact the U-Haul Corp. , and pay online. When I went to cancel my storage unit, I was told by the local Waverly facility that my unit was not rented, and in fact was empty. Obviously not true , if anyone cared to check. The staff at Waverly were incapable of correcting this, and I never rec'd a call from the manager, despite the Corp. Office's assurance that he/she would.
MICHAEL P | Overall ExperienceThe initial person we met with was okay, however seemed new at their job and unsure on certain things. People didn't really seem personable or friendly. I had a few interactions that weren't super pleasant -- staff seemed distracted or uninterested in helping. When I returned the U-Haul, no one came out to assist me in the return process. When I went inside to ask for help, there were two people working -- one was helping a customer and the other was stocking shelves. The person stocking the shelves, which I believe was the manager, walked past me saying nothing and didn't offer to help. Please work on your customer service skills. If someone comes in and the other person is helping someone else, drop what you're doing and help the customer. It's pretty basic stuff.

The employee wasn't wearing a mask, but the staff was making the public wear one or they couldn't come in. If you're going to enforce this for your customers then it should be enforced for the staff as well.
KATHY S | First ImpressionsI used a 20' U-Haul truck to move from out of state and needed a place to put my belongings while we are waiting for our home to come available. The truck worked great, the drop-off was easy and fast, and the employees were not unkind. I wanted to get a storage unit at the same location I dropped off the truck, and the first month of storage rental was free with a truck rental. Thus, I hopped online to U-Haul's website, pulled up my order, and reserved the largest storage unit at the Waverly location in Lansing, Michigan using my free month of rent. I received a reservation confirmation for a 10' x 15' x 12' drive up storage unit. On the day of the move, when I was told I could obtain the unit, I called ahead to confirm the specific unit was still being held for me - they verified that it was. When I arrived with the full truck later that day, I was told that there were no 10' x 15' x 12' drive up storage units available. It was communicated that my reservation email from U-Haul was without value and that the best unit they could give me was a 10' x 10' x 10' unit (thus lowering the value of my free month of storage, disregarding my carful efforts to reserve and confirm a large unit, and putting me in a difficult situation for unloading my 20' U-Haul truck that day). In the end, I was able to stack my belongings into the smaller unit, with much difficulty and rendering nearly all belongings inaccessible without unpacking the entire unit.

They were not encouraged to wear one by the employees either. To me that this is not acceptable especially in a place where people come and go from who-knows-where because they're moving in our moving out

Was then told I had to come in to office to sign papers. I had already moved 3 hours away. It took multiple calls to resolve. WHY would your company WANT people to come into the building to sign during an pandemic?

The only thing that could have been better was that the gasket on the roll up door was worn through in some areas and it made the door very difficult to open and close. Additionally, I was surprised to see a rodent trap in our bin and will be checking to see how and who will be periodically checking the trap for removal of any rodents since I am the holder of the key for the lock? There was no mention of this when we rented the bin.
