I told the gal that cleans on Sundays that I was moving out. That was two weeks ago. I also left a voice mail on the managers cel phone that I was moving out. I called the office several times and never could get a person on the phone i was there for approx one week.... And it cost me $93. I was hoping to get a partial refund but unfortunately for me.... No one was ever available to take my call. That is the only complaint I have against this facility. Thankyou! Brought my company van there to install my complete package to pull a trailer and when I left I did not check the work they just told me that the connection for the trailer was inside . When I checked on my home I could not believe that I pay 355 dollars for a wire hanging on the left door of my cargo . This is unacceptable at least for me . Your company should gave value to people no take value. The funny thing is that I know how to do this job by my self but I am very busy attending my busines and I do not have time to doit so I trusted on you guys . And look how goes . First off, your reps aren't that helpful and here is why- they are poorly trained. I had called in after trying several times to set everything up online only to have your system not take the information I had given, then to deal with a rep who sat there and tried to tell me that a 5 x 5 x 8 ft storage locker would hold all the furnishing from a 2 bedroom apt when in fact it wouldn't which only forced me to take another day from work and another days rental to get the job done. I called in and spoke with a corporate rep who seen my side of the events and then provided me a VIP package giving me $50 off a storage unit and then another $39.99 off the truck rental. I ended up paying a additional $42 for the storage unit and when I returned the truck today which was only driven 16 miles, I still paid $54.60 for that truck rental which was only $29.99 for the day ! Somehow I still got screwed even with the corporate VIP discount. The rep also did not include a dolly that I requested, gave me the wrong move in date and gave me the wrong size storage unit which in my opinion and about 23 others, was not even close on the storage size unit only to lose a days pay and still shell out $54.60. Nope at this point I would not recommend Uhaul for anything.Douglas B.

This particular facility is run by a bunch of kids. Kids that overlook when clients become tenants. Thes "tenants," want to run your moving schedule, because if truth be told, they only want us there in certain times of day. Why? Do you ask? Because if they know when they,,,'ll be there by themselves, then they know when is a good or bad time to do their thing. Usually bad. Oh yeah, almost forgot. If they don't like you, you better keep an eye on your car, otherwise they,ll break all your windows out. How do I know? It happened to me. When I informed U haul of what was happening, my issue was swept under the table.THAT WHY I MOVED MY STUFF OUT OF BOTH MY UNITS. The kids a b d tenants can have each other and their facility. We attempted to use the contactless phone pickup option. This option did NOT work at all. The verification methods (lease agreement, Passport OR corporate contact) would obviously not work and should no be used for verification. What lease agreement? If you are referring to the contract, call it that! Who carries their passport to the pickup center? Of course no one will answer the call-back at my office phone. I'm at the rental facility!! Plus, with all the waiting for verification, it was much faster to just go to the live agent and rent the truck...which we did!!TODD T.

When I reserved my storage unit over the phone on March 26 the below quote is what I was given. When I arrived from California the desk associate told me it was no longer available and what they had was a more expensive unit at $100+/month. I was quite surprised and upset. Moving your entire life from one state to another you budget for certain things and its extremely important to have fixed costs. I was not expecting the rate increase and Im still sour about it. I will not be keeping my belongings at this location much longer, I feel as though I was unfairly quoted a price and when I arrived I was told there was nothing left for me except the more expensive unit and thats the exact definition of false advertisement. As has now happened 3 times with different UHaul storage locations, I made a reservation online only to show up and it is not available. This is a very common problem with UHaul as they are allowed to overbook their units and can rent them out to someone else even though you have a reservation. It is absolutely maddening when you drive a full truck to a new location, arrive and not have anywhere to put your stuff. UHaul desperately needs to update their software to prevent this from happening. Nobody really seems to care though, they just say that it happens all the time and there is nothing they can do about it. We were lucky enough to get a different unit in this case, but it is not climate-controlled as we had reserved. Being as we will be storing electronics over a very hot Phoenix summer, we are not happy about this at all. But as they will tell you, there is nothing they can do.KAREN P. | First Impressions

I'm an older adult female and have arthritis in my hands. So it's very difficult to open up jars. As well, turn the key to the ignition of U-HAUL trucks. Plus, I picked a 10 inch truck specifically for the size of my move. I got a call and text telling me the pickup location has changed and instead of a 15 in truck, I was given a 20 inch truck once I got to the changed location. Once I told the young lady that I feel very uncomfortable driving a 20 inch truck, the young lady seemed to have gotten upset with me by the the tone she used while speaking to me. Make sure you have the reservation there when you go to pick it up. This was a terrible experience that caused a lot of issues as I had to go to another location to pick up a truck. Wasted an hour of my time which then caused more issues since I wasn't able to be on time to pick up my items. This is the 2nd bad experience with u-haul in the last 2 weeks. The inside of the truck had not been cleaned. There was coffee spilled around the drink holders that had dripped down the console. So in terms of preventing disease there's no way this had been cleaned out. The truck also had lots of scratches and dings that had not been marked with a sticker. I had to spend 15 minutes taking photos of all of them. The truck was left with less than a quarter tank of fuel. I basically had to stop at a gas station after my first trip. Also, 2 days before my rental someone called and told me my equipment would not be available at the 35th Ave and Indian School location but instead would be at 43rd Ave and Camelback. This is about 4 miles farther from my house so cost me about $4. Plus, the Google reviews of this location were not as good so I deliberately had not picked this location. I am really disappointed in this experience. I don't understand, since they knew 2 days in advance, why they couldn't have moved the truck to my preferred location.ROBIN K.

I enjoy the 24hr option. However, when making the reservation online for my storage unit it stated that a lock would be included. When I signed the lease I was charged for one. Then when I opened my unit the was a lock inside which since I had one i figured if i returned the unopened one left in my unit like the reservation online promised i would be credited but was not. First time as a storage renter and had an amazing experience with the help of Michael Curry, who was very polite, humble, and educated. As soon as we arrived he was ready to help us find the right items for moving and was able to help with any accommodations i needed! Was a hassle and time consuming (I was already tired from work)for me to get into the building.
